The Bride Of Immortal Crown Prince -
Chapter 34: He Avoided Her
Chapter 34: He Avoided Her
After finding her, Leon wanted to know if what the Old Seer said was true. But there was no chance to do that until today when he picked her up from school. He accidentally made physical contact with her.
Leon could feel something inside him stir; his heart trembled.
What surprised him the most was that just thinking about her made him aroused. He was both excited and afraid.
He was excited because what the Seer had said was true. Only his fiancé can make him a complete man. However, he also feels afraid. Afraid he couldn’t hold himself to do something terrible to her — she is not yet seventeen.
Leon must patiently wait until she turns eighteen before he can marry her. So, all day, he tries to stay away from her. Because every time he saw her, he could only think to devour her.
Deep inside, Leon warned himself to marry her for love, not for his lust. But love is foreign to him because he has never felt this feeling before. He feels puzzled and doesn’t know how to act toward her other than avoiding her.
...
Leon still stood in his place without moving, and his eyes were sharp-looking outside.
At this moment, the dark sky was gradually turning bright.
Morning came.
Leon took his cell phone and texted Geoffrey. He then threw his body on the bed and closed his eyes without changing his clothes.
His mind is exhausted. He needs a deep sleep.

At Sarlun Island.
Allynna woke up when the alarm she set last night rang.
Unlike the previous day, she didn’t need to rush this time. She took her time to prepare herself before going to school.
Allynna feels thrilled because this is the last exam day and the last day she stays on this island.
She heard a knock on the door when she had just finished wearing her school uniform. She grabs her backpack and walks to the door.
Allynna saw Lella standing there waiting for her.
"My lady, your breakfast ready," Lella said while taking her backpack and following her to the first floor.
With hasty steps, Allynna went down the stairs to the dining room, hoping to meet Leon this morning. She was curious because Leon hadn’t replied to the text message she sent last night.
Allynna even thought she had saved the wrong phone number and the text she sent never reached Leon.
"My Lady, please be careful. Please don’t run, it is dangerous..." Lella was worried when she saw Allynna running so fast down the stairs.
When Allynna reached the last step, she turned to look at Lella, "Don’t worry, Lella, I’ve been running down the stairs since I was a toddler," she smiled at Lella before she dashed to the dining room.
Allynna could feel her heart beating slightly faster when she thought Leon was waiting for her. However, Allynna’s steps suddenly halted not far from the dining table.
Her beaming eyes slowly dimmed when she saw the dining room empty. Once again, she felt disappointed. The person she had been expecting was not there.
Allynna wanted to ask Lella about Leon but saw Lella avoiding eye contact as if she didn’t want to be asked about Leon.
She didn’t have a choice but to put aside her curiosity.
After taking a deep breath, Allynna continued walking toward the dining table.
Allynna sat in her usual chair and started eating her breakfast. She knew the food on the table must be delicious, but her taste seemed to betray her just like last night. She can’t taste anything.
"My Lady... Is the food not delicious? Why do you eat so little?" Lella panicked when she saw Lady Allynna only eating half a sandwich and drinking half a glass of orange juice.
Lella’s voice took her by surprise.
Allynna turn to see Lella. She saw her standing beside her.
She tried to smile at Lella, even though her smile didn’t reach her eyes, "I like the food. It’s delicious. But I don’t have much time; I must leave now..." Allynna then stood up from her chair. "Let’s go, Lella; I’ll be late if I don’t go now."
Lella knew that Allynna still had a lot of time. If she left now, she would arrive at school early. But, even though she was confused, Lella still followed Allynna from behind, carrying her school bag towards the car.
When Allynna reached the front yard, she saw Geoffrey. He’s waiting for her beside the black car they usually use.
Allynna just nodded slightly when Geoffrey greeted her. She didn’t waste any more time; she got into the car and felt disappointed again because she didn’t see Leon where he usually sat.
Countless questions fill her mind, trying to figure out why Leon hasn’t appeared since yesterday.
’Did he avoid me? Why did he avoid me? What was the reason?’
Allynna was completely confused. She tried to remember if she said something that annoyed him. But she found nothing.
She glanced at Geoffrey, wanting to ask him, but she put aside her intention, afraid that Geoffrey’s answer would further disturb her mood.
At this moment, she needed to calm her mind to face the math exam.
Allynna turned her gaze toward the lust tree by the side of the road and tried to distract her mind from Leon’s.
...
Before long, the car finally stopped.
"My Lady, I will pick you up at this place after you finish your exam," Geoffrey said respectfully. "Good luck with your last exam, My Lady..."
"Thank you, Geoffrey," Allynna smiled. She grabbed her backpack and immediately stepped out of the car.
Allynna was surprised when she walked towards the schoolyard; she saw no one.
’Gosh!! I come too early...’ She could only chuckle, looking at her watch.
Allynna walked towards her class but stopped when she heard a woman’s voice calling her name in an icy and sharp tone from the corner.
She turned around, and to her surprise, she saw a familiar figure standing there.
