Alanis sat on the edge of the bed, scrolling through the news on his tablet after a quick conversation with Gus about the latest office updates. The sound of the closet door opening drew his attention, and when he looked up, the sight before him stole his breath.

Harlow stepped out, her movements graceful yet unhurried. The soft light from the window framed her figure, highlighting every delicate detail. The workers in there both stared at their boss and his ex-wife, the one who visited the company all through the period she was engaged to Alanis. Harlow has done a few things that might leave a bad impression on her for life. But she could care less.

It would be so cheap of him if he actually did that because it would not only make him look stupid, but he would also lose valuable customers for the company.

At exactly, 9 am, after the brief meeting with the board. Harlow was finally crowned the new CEO of Hamilton Corp.

The news was immediately sent to the media and to all of the workers who were stunned and speechless.
