As Harlow and Alanis prepared to leave the doctor’s office, the doctor spoke hesitantly. "I don’t know what I did to upset you, Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton, but I’m truly sorry. People love spreading fake rumors, and I can only hope you haven’t believed them." He bowed slightly. "If the medication doesn’t work, please don’t hesitate to return."

Harlow and Alanis didn’t respond, their cold expressions unchanged. The doctor had no idea of the true reason for their disdain, instead assuming it stemmed from unfounded gossip. If only he knew how deeply he had wronged them both.

"Aren’t you forgetting something, my little villain?" Alanis teased, leaning out of the window with a smile on his perfect lips.

Harlow clenched her jaw. This man couldn’t be serious, not here, where people were bustling about and even shooting scenes nearby. "This isn’t the right place," she hissed.

"Remember, if you stop caring, all our efforts these past few days will be in vain," he reminded her smugly.

Sighing in frustration, Harlow leaned back toward the car and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before turning to walk away, but the man in the car grabbed her hands before she could leave and pulled her closer.

This act alone attracted the eyes of a few people as they stared at the couple. Though they couldn’t see the face of the person in the car, they recognized the woman with the man. Alanis pulled his wife and smooched her delicate lips with his. Harlow stood frozen on the floor as he kissed her.

"I’ll see you later." She said nothing and started walking away.

Alanis chuckled as he watched her disappear into the building.

Inside Shoot Pictures, Harlow was greeted by security, who led her to a smaller studio at the back of the building. Her eyes widened as she took in the lively atmosphere.

It would be the first time she would be in an actual studio and even watch people act movies around her. She smiled.

Unlike the older, judgmental men she had dealt with in the past, the room was filled with young, enthusiastic individuals. Their energy was contagious, and for the first time in a while, she felt a flicker of hope.

"You’re finally here!" Evans greeted her warmly, walking up to her. He smiled, recalling Alanis’s request to take special care of his wife.

Seeing how Alanis had easily ruined Robert and Paul’s career made him realize his best friend was truly serious with this woman and he would cherish her as well. After all, she belonged to his best friend and brother.

"Welcome, Miss Hamilton," he said with a polite nod.

"Just call me Harlow while we’re working Me Evans," Harlow replied gently. She wanted the team to feel comfortable around her, knowing that insecurity and jealousy could ruin everything she had worked so hard for.

"Alright, everyone! Miss Harlow is here," Evans announced.

All eyes turned to her, and whispers filled the room.

"Is she the scriptwriter? The owner of the film?"

"Impressive."

"She’s beautiful."

Harlow gave them a polite smile.

Evans continued, "Yes, she wrote the script we’re about to bring to life. Today’s meeting is for introductions and planning. If all goes well, we’ll begin filming next month."

Turning to Harlow, he gestured for her to follow him. "Please come with me."

He led her to a smaller room, where an older man sat waiting. His gray beard and balding head gave him an air of wisdom.

"Evans!" the man greeted warmly, standing to shake his hand. His gaze shifted to Harlow, and his face lit up. "And this must be our brilliant scriptwriter."

Harlow extended her hand politely, her nerves steady as she stared at him. This was truly a good start-up. No insults, no bullying, just love and a peaceful atmosphere. This is all she ever wanted.
