Chapter 121: SET UP 2

Andrew wasn’t just here on his own accord. Since Harlow wouldn’t listen to his warnings, he had begged Layla to lure her in here. It’s the only place he could hide away from Alanis and his men. He did not recall the man being this powerful in his past life, how Alanis stretched so high is still baffling to everyone.

In the past, he cared less about his wife or child. Andrew always monitored them from afar. Yes, he’s the one who had unrequited love for her and had ended up with the worst life.

He knew he was making the same mistake again, but he couldn’t live without this little woman. He can’t let her die again. He Can’t just sit and watch her suffer. He had no idea why Alanis suddenly cared for his wife in this life.

Why does that heartless man suddenly care about his wife? Why was he suddenly making stealing her away so easy?

Andrew found his teeth. Did he love her in this life?

"Why do you look so hideous?" Harlow asked with a smile. A smile that reached her eyes, a smile he had not seen in a long time. In the past, she was always the happy kid in school. She smiled no matter how much Claudia and her friends would bully her, but that smile slowly died as the years grew by.

The happy and jovial Harlow turned into a shadow of her past. She became a nuisance to the public. She was always seen running around chasing her husband like a complete fool. She even went as far as hiring people to watch her husband’s every move.

Alanis really turned her into a mad woman. Everyone labeled her as mad.

"Don’t be like those scumbags that tried to steal my movie. I’ll deal with them. I’ll make them pay for mocking me."

"What are you talking about?" Andrew asked to see her smile.

"I had the chance to kill that asshole, but I blew it. I wanted to kill him so badly and make him pay, but that’ll be giving him an easy death." She said.

"Who? Who did you want to kill?" Andrew asked.

"Him." She hiccuped again, struggling to pick up the third bottle as she gulped more drink down her system.

"Who is him?" Andrew held her shoulder, shaking her a little bit Harlow only smiled. She lifted her hands and poked his nose with her fingers.

"I know who you are." She suddenly said rising to her feet. As she got up, she staggered a little and Andrew was quick to catch her. He grabbed her waist and kept her in place.

"That stupid husband of mine sent you didn’t he?" Andrew shook his head. "I don’t work for that man." He said.

"Is the him your stupid husband?" She nodded as he placed her back on the stool. But why would Harlow want to kill Alanis? He thought she loved him so much.

"Why do you want him dead?" He asked.

"He’s an asshole. He’s a monster. I will kill him with my bare hands, I hate him so much." She cried. "I hate him." She cried even more.

"No, it’s alright, you don’t have to cry." Andrew tried to stop her.

"I don’t understand why you would go back to such a person if you hate him so much." He murmured. If Harlow wanted to kill Alanis so badly if she hated him, then why the hell did she go back to him?

Why was she still married to him?

He just couldn’t understand. Did Harlow go back, just as she has said, to kill Alanis?

Andrew shook his head. That’s not possible. She’s talking under the influence of the alcohol, this wasn’t her. The woman he knows would never even hurt a fly. She always forgives no matter what anyone does to her.

"Harlow." Andrew held her shoulder as he called.

"Get your hands off my wife before I kill you." That deep voice came from behind and Andrew took his hands off her. He had no idea how this man discovered this place so quickly.

"It seems your last warning wasn’t enough," Alanis said as he neared them. He stared at the wasted woman on the stool, his eyes moving around her body for any trace of something other than the drink on the table.

"How much does she owe?" He turned to the bartender. The man stared at Alanis in disbelief. He couldn’t believe he was seeing this man in flesh and blood.

"T... this gentleman already cleared her bills." The bartender said. Alanis glanced at Andrew, "I’ll send whatever my wife owes to you by tomorrow." He picked the half-awake woman from the stool, lifting her in his arms as he started walking away.

"That wouldn’t make up for the other things you owe," Andrew said as he watched the man’s huge back retreat.

"You don’t have proof I did that to you. When you have proof, we’ll talk." His voice rang nonchalantly as he walked away. Andrew stared at Alanis’s retreating figure and smiled. One way or another, he would find a way to steal her away.

He would make sure she doesn’t end up with the same fate as her past life. There’s a reason he was in this life, and that was to make things right again.

Alanis may win now, but he’ll definitely have the last laugh.

"What the hell just happened?" Layla walked to the man on the stool.

"It seems he found out about this location faster than we thought he would." Lay shook her head. Ever since Andrew explained his intentions for Harlow to her, she had been with him. Lay couldn’t bear to watch her best friend be with a man who didn’t love her.

When Harlow had told her about leaving Alanis, she had been so happy, but hearing she was back with him made her heart boil. They all know Harlow is obsessed with that man, but the most annoying part is why he keeps using her feelings against her.
