THE BILLIONAIRE'S VENGEFUL WIFE RETURNS -
Chapter 120: SET UP
Chapter 120: SET UP
While both girls were on their way to the club, a pair of brown well polished shoes moved against the floor. It’s heels. Clicking as the legs moved. In his hands were a few files as Gus walked into his boss’s study room.
He had thought the idea of Alanis resigning from his position in the office was absurd, but Alanis wouldn’t listen. And giving it to his wife? A woman who knew nothing about his kind of job.
Gus had no idea what this man was thinking, but this was the worst decision he had made in his life.
"Good morning boss." He greeted. Even if he would be working for the new president of Hamilton Corp which will be announced to the public in a few days, Alanis will always be his boss.
"What have you got for me?" Alanis asked a smile hanging on his lips. He just couldn’t forget his wife’s face when he teased her earlier.
"It seems Madam got into a fight with her crew."
"Elaborate."
"According to Mr. Evans, the Director and Producer working on the screenplay, all said they would no longer be working for her."
"Why?" Came Alanis’s words with a frown. He didn’t like where this was going. There’s a reason he hasn’t followed his wife for her meeting, he didn’t think those men would disrespect her with Evans Collin Berg being present.
"They had an issue over deciding the lead actress for the screenplay. It turns out Mr Robert wanted Claudia Blackwood and madam didn’t want that." Gus explained.
"Their arguments, led to them bringing up her past about you and Miss Claudia and mocking her for it. They accused her of being jealous of Miss Claudia." Gus concluded. Though he wasn’t there, one of the crew members was their ally. The man who never said anything since they arrived. Randolf.
He had been the one to download all of the information to Gus.
"And the conclusion?" Alanis asked.
"They all opted out of the film production, and threatened to never let any other production company work with madam ever again."
"Fools," Alanis said clicking his tongue. He would never let anyone treat his wife in such a way. Did they not know anything she says goes?
How dare they? Alanis thought, but then the anger quickly varnished when he thought of his wife again. If the meeting ended a few hours ago, then why the hell is she not back?
He hoped she wasn’t seeing that stupid boy again. Alanis grounded his teeth in anger. This time he would kill Andrew for real.
"Where is my wife?" He asked...

When Harlow and Layla arrived at the entrance of the club, both girls showed their tickets before walking in. Harlow walked into a room filled with people to the brim. The music was so loud that she could barely hear her thoughts.
Everyone danced like they were possessed. The disco ball displayed above them did nothing but show rainbow lights around. This is exactly what she sees in movies. She smiled. They didn’t care who was next to them or who was walking through, they just danced. Was Clubbing really for mad people? She wondered scramming through the crowd as she followed Layla. She held her purse close to her as instructed.
Layla had warned her that even if they were here to have fun, there were also thieves. Theifs that we’re ready to steal from them. Harlow looked around, ready to protect herself.
As they advanced through the stairs, the noise became less and they walked into a room. In here they were playing mils music and a few people went to the center to dance, while others kept conversing with each other.
"Where are we?" Harlow whispered to Lay.
"The VVIP sector. Come let’s get something to drink." She led her friend to the bar and they both took their seat there.
"I need two bottles of Vodka," Layla said.
"Vodka?"
"You said you needed something to make you relax right? A few bottles would do you no harm." Lay said.
"I guess so." Harlow took the bottle from the bartender and took a big gulp.
"So I’m guessing it’s her first day in a club?" The bartender asked both girls and they exchanged glances.
"Come on, it’s obvious." He shrugged.
"She’ll be just fine," Lay said. "Harlow, can you stay here alone with this good Mr while I go use the bathroom?" Harlow nodded. She wasn’t a child, all she had to do was follow Lay’s rules and everything would be fine.
"Of course." She said. Layla started walking away and Harlow’s eyes followed her back till she was out of her reach. She took another large gulp of her drink. And by five large gulps, she was done with the first bottle.
"If I may remind you, Harlow, you have no say when it comes to deciding the lead roles for the movie. If you continue with this irksome behavior, we will all opt out of the movie, and believe me when I say, no other movie studio will accept your piece of crap." She recalled everything those men said. Every damn thing.
They each mocked her and said she was jealous of Claudia. Claudia?
Why the hell would she be jealous of her sister? Claudia is the one who wants to be like her and not the other way around.
"Idiots." She spat, already feeling light-headed. "I need another bottle please." The bartender dropped another bottle immediately. Harlow didn’t know where to find her actress. She would never let Claudia act in her movie, never.
She would never let her sister ruin her play. After changing her lead role, the next step would be changing the plot and twist to their own and they would ruin the movie. In no time Harlow finished her second bottle, by this time, she could barely make out her environment.
One hiccup...
The second...
, And the third...
"You look wasted with just two bottles." A familiar voice rang beside her and when she looked up, it was the face of a man she couldn’t recognize.
He had a white bandage wrapped around his face. She stared into his grey eyes. "Says who?" Harlow said.
"I need a third." She called the attention of the bartender and the man stood before her. "You look like you could pass out any moment ma’am, what makes you think you can have another?" The man asked staring at the woman. He knew she was inexperienced when she arrived with her friend, but they had both denied it with their eyes.
"Are you with her Mister, you should take her home? I’m done being a baby seater for the night." Andrew smiled.
"You have nothing to worry about." He said.
"Harl, come let’s leave together. I’ll take you somewhere far. Somewhere away from your sorrows and troubles." He said.
Andrew just couldn’t bear seeing Harlow hurt the second time in a row. Even if he wouldn’t be the man to end up with her, he would rather she be with someone else than that stupid husband of hers.
But just like in his past life, Harlow was a stubborn woman. He couldn’t tell her he was reliving this life and knew the fate of everyone. He died after he saw Harlow’s corpse, but before that, it was already on the news about Alanis’s tragic death.
In the end, they all lost to the one evil person that remained alive.
