THE BILLIONAIRE'S VENGEFUL WIFE RETURNS -
Chapter 113: LESSON LEARNED 2
Chapter 113: LESSON LEARNED 2
When Harlow sauntered back into the Villa, she walked up to the maid who had dared call her wretch. She was the same maid Harlow had ignored earlier and she couldn’t wait to get her revenge on the girl.
"You." Harlow drawled walking towards her. The maid knew she had already lost, so there was no need to pretend anymore.
They all know how desperate the girl has been to win their master over, yet he didn’t even look at her ever. Harlow visited him most nights, asking them questions about what Alanis liked and what he didn’t. She would ask about his favorite meal.
His favorite color and many more.
But the funny part of all was that Jane always told her the wrong food. And when she prepared it, Alanis would always reject it.
Yes, the maids had played a huge role in destroying her marriage. Garth had not only ruined her from the outside, but she also had people working for her from within.
They all know Alanis probably is only attracted to Harlow’s body and when he’s done, he would go back to her sister. It’s not possible for their master to wake up one morning and be attracted to the girl.
"W... What are you trying to do you crazy woman?" She asked.
"I didn’t say anything wrong. I... I was right anyway. The only reason Master Alanis is attracted to you is because of your body and when he’s..." Harlow didn’t let her finish when she pulled her by the hair and dragged her out of the Villa.
"You’re fired!" She yelled.
"Who does she think she is to fire Madam Garth’s maids?" A maid whispered to the other where they all stood. They were the ones who didn’t like Harlow and couldn’t wait for her to be disgraced out of the Hamilton family.
Today, Harlow will finally leave the mansion. She has touched the tail of a lion and will feel its wrath.
"How rude of her to lay those hands-on madam Garth." Another said.
"Just wait till Master Alanis gets back, she’ll be kicked out tonight." They giggled. It would be another movie to watch again.
Alanis could take anything, but not anyone disrespecting his family. Especially his stepmother. He would do anything for them.
When they saw Harlow walking back in, they all kept their mouth shut like nothing happened. Even if they had insulted her behind her back, nobody wanted to face the wrath of Harlow. They have all seen her beat and humiliate Jane like a child. They didn’t want to go through the same fate.
"Things will no longer be the same around here as long as I am around," Harlow said as she stepped in. It was time to take control of her past and change everything in her favor. She will no longer endure the constant disrespect from mere maids and Alanis’s family.
Back at her father’s mansion, no maid dared disrespect her. They’d be damned if they tried. She wasn’t here to please anybody or make them like her again like before.
"If you work for me you will respect me and abide by my rules. If you can’t, you can as well start applying to work in the other villas." She said.
"No maid of mine is allowed to work for anyone. If you’re my maid, your loyalty lies here." She stated.
The maids are usually switched in her past life. They share themselves with the different villas and take daily turns when it comes to cleaning. That had made Garth poison their minds against her. The only maid that was constant in her Villa was Jane.
Kicking her out is the best decision Harlow had made in a while.
"Is that understood?"
"Yes, madam." Harlow waved her hands and they all scattered around. She had become too exhausted to go for her meeting so she sent a message to Evans. In no time the man responded and another date was chosen.
His decisions made the directors and other crew members angry as they wondered who the mere scriptwriter was to make such decisions for them. What they didn’t know was that Harlow wasn’t just a Blackwood, but was now also, a Hamilton.
When Harlow arrived in her room, she had seen the documents Alanis spoke about.
She picked up the papers and started going through them. As she read through, she suddenly remembered Ava who had been shaking in the dining room when she had a brawl with Alanis.
Harlow smiled, Ava surely had a heart attack today because of Harlow. Her poor innocent soft maid.
Even if Harlow hadn’t held a gun in all her life she had used it today because of anger.
Harlow dropped the documents back on the table. She could read them later, for now, she needed to see her maid. Ava was more important than any document. With steady steps, Harlow stepped out of her room and headed for her maid’s room. She was so sorry to have hurt Ava the way she did.
When she reached Ava’s room, she saw her maid lying on the bed. Her chest rising and falling as a sign she was only sleeping.
"I’m sorry Ava." She said as she sat on her bed. She didn’t mean to hurt Ava the way she did. Maybe she should have sent her maid out of the dining room, but she needed a witness in there since she didn’t trust Alanis.
Just as she was about to leave the room, her phone rang. It was Layla calling. She couldn’t remember the last time they spoke together. When she tried to call Layla before, she couldn’t reach her. Harlow had blamed herself for it. She knew her father was unto them for the article Layla had published.
Seeing her friend call, Harlow knew she was fine and she was thankful for it.
"Lay..."
"Oh Harlow, I thought I wouldn’t hear your voice anymore. How are you doing?" Lay asked worriedly.
"I’m fine," Harlow said.
"Where are you now Harlow? I couldn’t reach you because Father locked me up and seized everything I own after your father called."
