Harlow sat by the table for a while. She stared into oblivion without being aware of the servants untidying the table. They had all been scared, cursing their new madam only to discover that neither she nor their master was hurt.

Alanis had set his rules straight. She couldn’t be found with another man. They were to sleep in the same room as husband and wife. In his words, he has placed restraining orders against Andrew, which meant the man was to stay away from him.

Their bedroom activities were not canceled, but it had to be with both people’s consent. Never is he allowed to force himself on her or is she allowed to force herself on him. Harlow scoffed. Force herself on him, what did he think she was?

A desperate fool? Even if she has been desperate in her past life, that doesn’t mean she was in this life.

Harlow stared at the paper in her hands. These rules were not something she couldn’t handle. In fact, Alanis had placed the best rules except of course the bedroom part.

"Where is that bitch? Where is she?" Garth’s scream from the living room shook her from her thoughts. What did that woman want from her this time? Harlow wondered.

She hadn’t stayed here for a day and Garth was already screaming in her ears. She rolled her eyes and stepped out of the dining room.

"Miss Harlow." A maid approached her with shaky voice. "Madam Garth is looking for you." She said nervously. The woman there looked angry at Harlow. While a few maids gathered around in spite of Harlow, a few amongst them supported her.

Majority of the maids didn’t like their new madam because, unlike her sister, she was rude and badly behaved. It’s a good thing Garth hates her because they couldn’t begin to imagine how they could live with such person.

Harlow walked past the maid and arrived in the lounge. "Mother, you asked for me?" She asked with a smile. A smile that looked so genuine. Garth frowned on seeing the girl. Her face squeezed like she had just seen the most disgusting thing on earth.

"You imbecile!" Garth raised her hands and launched at the girl, her palm hitting Harlow’s face hard. Harlow stood frozen at a spot. Her cheek burned as a reminder she was just slapped so hard.

The maids who were on Jane’s side all nodded at Garth slapping their madam.

"How dare you try to kill my son?" Garth asked her fury palpable. After trying to chase this girl out of their family, out of their lives, she still found a way to come back.

"What an ingrate. Miss Harlow, do you think you’re any better than Master Alanis?" Jane asked staring at the young girl.

Harlow almost laughed at their words. She couldn’t believe how stupid she had been in her past life. Just because she wanted to please Alanis so badly, she had endured all of their bullshits and even let them hurt her children.

She had been so stupid. The real fool.

She had let a common maid abuse and insult her however she liked.

"You’re just a whore who got fortunate to come from a wealthy family. Don’t think because Master Alanis brought you here you have the right to behave however you like." Jane completed.

"He might have been attracted to your body, but he will never be with you for long you wretch." Another maid said boldly.

"I don’t care if my son brought you in here or not, you’re leaving this Villa today. We don’t want you here, the Hamiltons reject you." Garth added. Her action only reminded Harlow of the past. She did this woman’s bidding because she always threatened her with sending her out of the Villa for good. She would always use Alanis to threaten Harlow.

"I wish you can tell the same to your son. It seems he can of lived without me." Harlow smiled and turned to Jane, the smile on her lips fell instantly.

"You’re nothing but a maid. The lowest of all the statuses in the world, how dare you insult your master’s wife?" Jane’s lips twitched. When did her madam get so bold?

"Is this what you teach your maids Garth? To be disrespectful?" Harlow turned to Garth.

"My maids are only respectful to elite people. Not to a used girl forcing herself on my son. Why don’t you have some decency and leave? Go back to your father’s mansion."

"Like I said, you should tell that to your son, he brought me here," Harlow said, she was tired of conversing with them, all she wanted was to teach them a little tiny lesson. Just one sweet lesson.

"Since Alanis hasn’t let me go, I want to make a few things clear Garth. You and your minions cannot step into my house uninvited, and neither do you have the right to raise your filthy hands at me." The sound of her hands clashing against Garth’s face reverberated in the room.

The woman’s face turned red instantly.

Gasp from the maids and even Jane who stared at her with wide eyes filled the air.

"How dare you touch Mrs Garth?" Jane screamed and launched at Harlow, but before she could reach her, another slap echoed in the lounge. "How dare you try to hit me?" Harlow asked this time.

"Have you forgotten your place so soon?"

"I should teach you to never lay your hands on your master’s wife again."

Jane fell flat on the floor crying aloud as she held her cheeks that felt like they were on fire. Harlow was more than ready for Garth and her minions today. She had longed to deal with them all.

"How dare you lay those hands on my maid?" Garth yelled at the girl and ran towards her again with all force, ready to hit Harlow. But Harlow held her hands before she could reach her and pushed the woman to the floor.

"Ahh!" Garth yelled in agony, one hand on her waist and the other on her swollen cheek.

"What have I done? I can’t hurt her? A lowly servant?" She asked moving close to the woman on the floor and Garth moved backwards in fear.

"Is she that untouchable?" Harlow asked and menacing smile displaying on her lips. Since she couldn’t hurt Alanis the way she wanted, she might as well unleash her anger on his family. She had warned him, he better not change his mind after her little present today.

Harlow advanced towards Jane. She grabbed her by the hair and threw her out of the Villa. "I don’t want to see you close to this Villa anymore." Everyone in the Villa was shocked to even speak or react.

They had not expected their madam to be this fiery. She had single-handedly silenced Gath and her minion.

Garth got up in shame. "Just wait till Alanis get back, he’ll kill you for laying your hands on me." She said and walked away.
