Chapter 111: UNBROKEN DEAL

Everyone in the Villa heard the loud bang and stepped out to see what was happening. The maids who worked for Alanis had all been sent out of the Villa by the guards, leaving just Harlow and Alanis in there.

"What going on, where did that shot come from." Garth who ran out of her own Villa asked staring at the maids. They hesitated before one spoke out, "Young master and madam are fighting again." A maid said gingerly.

"Madam?" Garth asked and Jane walked up to her.

"It is Harlow Blackwood, madam. Master Alanis has brought the witch home last night." Jane said to her mistress.

"Brought her back for what? Oh, she has killed my son." Garth rushed towards the Villa. She wasn’t scared because she didn’t want Alanis to die, but she was scared because their family business had yet to become solid enough for her son to take over. If Alanis does now, it means they are doomed for life.

When she arrived at the entrance of the Villa, the guard standing by the door didn’t let her walkthrough. "Madam, no entry orders from Master Alanis." They stated. Garth’s face twisted with fury, she couldn’t believe it. Alanis still went ahead to disobey her and bring that menace back into their lives after successfully getting her out.

"How dare you command me in my own estate? You have no rights whatsoever." Garth barked. "Now let me in before I get you fired." She said but neither one of the guards moved. They blocked the entrance of the Villa like impenetrable shields. Their action only angered Garth more.

If only her son was here, he sure would have dealt with these men now.

"What is going on here?" Grandma Hamilton who had also heard the sound of a gunshot with Elisa stepped out of her Villa only to witness a commotion outside.

"This is all your fault?" Garth walked up to the confused woman. She was here as everyone else to know what the commotion was about, how could it be her fault?

"If you hadn’t convinced him to bring that menace back..." Garth paused grinding her teeth hard. She hated Harlow with everything in her and she would do anything to eliminate the girl from her family.

"What are you talking about?"

"Grandma, they said Harlow just shot brother Alanis. Is this what you wanted? Is this why you wanted her back?" Lia asked. She had arrived just like everyone else. Even if she still hadn’t been able to live in the Villa again, she was still a part of the family and had every right to speak.

She couldn’t believe that bitch was back and was already causing g trouble for everyone.

Charlotte raised a brow at their words. Her daughter-in-law was back? How did Alanis do it? She almost thought the little ball she had arranged for on their behalf wouldn’t hold anymore after their last fight, but she was glad they were back together.

"Come on." She waved her hands. "It’s just a couple fight, let them settle their differences." The mother and daughter duo before her stared at the old woman in disbelief. They couldn’t believe this was all she had to say.

Alanis was in danger and here she is still living in her fantasy. "I can’t believe you mother," Garth said.

"This is your grandson we’re talking about. How can you treat him this way?"

"At least one of us is not pretending to like the boy when we don’t." Charlotte smiled.

"And what is that supposed to mean?" Grandma Hamilton said nothing to her daughter-in-law and started walking back to her Villa.

"I can’t believe her mother. After making me stay outside for a full week, she wants Alanis dead?" Lia asked. Right now, she looked nothing more than a stinking bush girl. She hadn’t had her bath in weeks and was stinking already.

Her fair skin was tainted with dirt and mud. Lia has had to sleep on the floor for a full week, come rain come sun. This is her father’s house, why would she be punished like this?

"I think it’s time we kill this old witch," Garth said.

Inside Alanis’s Villa,

Harlow sat frozen, the gun still in her hand, her ears ringing from the shot. A second passed and the next, then she smiled.

"I wouldn’t want to soil my hands giving you an easy way out Mr Hamilton." She said. She hadn’t shot him at all, not because she couldn’t but because she had other plans in mind.

"I’d rather you have a painful death. The most antagonizing death you could ever imagine after living a miserable life." She said and tossed the gun back to him. Just the same life he had put her through in the past. She wanted him to suffer the same way she had.

"I gave you an option. I explained how much of a burden I would be and the chaos I would cause in being your wife, yet, you want to still be married to me." Harlow said.

"I also gave you an option, I asked you to kill this burden away from you. I have lawyers who are willing to fight my family so that you can be free, yet you refused to kill me." Alanis said his eyes never leaving hers, not even for a second.

"Well then, since you have refused to kill me, I believe you still love me and want me to be your husband." Harlow chuckled at his words. His. Confidence was amusing if only he knew what was in her mind against him.

"The rules we made before are in this contract." Alanis tossed the paper to the woman across the table. Her green eyes scanned the paper and her lips curved into a smile. This man cannot be serious.

"You changed everything we agreed on..."

"I cannot be married and sleep in a different room with my wife. I told you our last deal would be canceled if you don’t kill me." He said.

"Now you live by my rules."

"Aren’t you afraid that I would choke you to death when you sleep beside me, Mr Hamilton?"

"There will be commotion outside the Villa. The commotion you caused. Settle that while I worry about being choked by my wife." He got up.

"The company files will be placed in your room, go through them, I already resigned from being the CEO of Hamilton Cooperation. You’re the new CEO like you asked." As he stepped out of the room, a few servants walked in and carried Ava away.
