Chapter 97: Opportunities For Antonio

Aryana and Erik has just completed two hours training of kung fu and mixed martial arts. She was lying on the floor resting while browsing the internet.

"The trending topic is still about you and Cassie." She looked at the photos and videos and read the comments aloud.

"A match made in heaven."

"What a beautiful pair."

"They are perfect together."

Erik lie down beside her. He placed her head on his chest.

"Look at this photo. Look at how Cassie gazed at you so adoringly." Aryana shoved her cellphone on Erik’s face.

"Are you jealous?" Aryana did not answer. Of course she was jealous.

"To be honest, you two indeed is a beautiful pair." She said honestly.

Erik took her cellphone. He browsed at the photos. He was looking for something and when he found it he enlarged the photo.

It was his photo and Aryana dancing.

"This one is the perfect match." He said beaming.

"There is nothing in the comment section at all." She said gloomily. "All the comments are about you and her. You are being shipped together."

"You are more beautiful when you are jealous. Your cheeks are flushed." Erik teased her.

Aryana ignored him. She continued browsing the photos. She paused in one of them.

"Look at the two of you looking so intimate while I was standing akwardly like I came into something that I shouldn’t have."

Erik chuckled. "You should have grabbed my arms as well. It is your fault."

Aryana moved to the other photos. Erik’s eyes narrowed when he saw the photo of Aryana dancing with Clark.

"Damn that Clark. Why did he placed his hands on your waist. I really wanted to punch him at that time."

Aryana giggled.

"Were you jealous?"

"Isn’t it obvious?"

Aryana just smiled.

Amy informed Aryana of her scheduled photoshoot that Saturday. The schedule was at 9am. Aryana arrived thirty minutes ahead schedule. She was met with hostile gazes by the crew and the scolding of the director.

"How dare you only come at this time? We have been waiting for you for over an hour."

Aryana was confused. My agent told me that the call time is 9am. I arrived 30 minutes early." Aryana explained.

"Don’t tarry anymore. Hurry up and change and get your make up done. Cassie has been waiting for ages." The assistant director shouted at her.

Aryana paused. So her partner today was Cassie.

"Don’t blame her guys. It is not her fault. Her agent might have forgotten to remind her that the schedule was changed." Cassie defended Aryana.

"But she wasted a lot of our time, especially yours." the assistant director glared at Aryana.

Aryana pursed her lips. She silently went inside the dressing room to have her make up done.

They were endorsing a famous make up brand and both models will appear in the same frame. Aryana’s make up was fresh and refreshing while Cassie represented style and elegance.

They were depicted as best of friends so they were smiling happily in the camera. But there were also photos were they showed a serious and more formal look. They were both professionals after all. The photo shoot went smoothly and completed ahead of time.

"It is great working with you guys. Since we finished early, why not let us have our lunch together. It is on me." Cassie announced and the crew was elated. Who doesn’t want to free lunch?

"Cassie is so generous. What a nice person." The assistant director commented.

Aryana reluctantly joined the crew for lunch. It was very obvious that Cassie was using her influence to sway the crew towards her.

Antonio Lopez coincidentally appeared at the restaurant.

"Cousin, you are here. What a coincidence. We just wrapped up a photo shoot. Why not join us for lunch?"

Antonio sat beside Aryana and Cassie also sat beside her. She was exceptionally nice to Aryana and it made her very uncomfortable.

’What is she planning this time?’ Aryana looked at them warily.

Cassie took selfies showing Aryana and Antonio at the back ground. She posted in her circle of friends which include Erik, Marlon, Franco and Alex.

"Aryana try this one. This tastes really good." Antonio scooped a meat from the platter and carefully placed it on her plate. Cassie snapped a photo.

Aryana glared at Antonio.

"You don’t have to do that Antonio. I have my own hands." Aryana openly expressed her displeasure.

"O common Aryana. Cousin is just showing off his being a gentleman." Cassie defended Antonio.

"But the one he is placing on my plate might not be something that I want to eat." Aryana reasoned.

"Oh how thoughtless of me. I am sorry Aryana." Antonio apologized.

Aryana did not say anymore and eat silently.

"Look at her acting so high and mighty. She is just a newcomer and she is acting as if she is already a star." The assistant director whispered to the woman beside her. Her voice was so loud it did not escaped Aryana’s hearing.

"I know right. She did not even gave face to Mr. Lopez. How shameless."

Aryana pretended that she did not hear a thing and continued eating silently while maintaining a calm demeanor.

She thanked Cassie for the lunch and said goodbye to the crew. Antonio offered to send hee back but she rejected him saying that Marlon was picking her up.

When she went out of the restaurant, a tinted black car was indeed waiting for her. The driver went down and opened the door at the back of the car.

Aryana was surprised to find Erik sitting on the car.

"It is you." She blurted.

"Who else are you expecting if not me?" Erik narrowed his eyes.

"You of course. But I thought you are busy." She said.

"Well, I am busy. But someone posted photos of someone. It made me jealous so here I am."

Erik took out his cellphone and showed Aryana the photos that Cassie took earlier in the restaurant.

"I think she is creating opportunities for me and Antonio." She commented and watched as Erik’s face turned cold.
