Chapter 95: Another Foiled Plan

"It is you! You planned this. You harmed me!" Karla was hysterical as she pointed her hands to Aryana. She wanted to grab her hair and slapped her real hard.

"What did I do? You accompanied me here to clean up." Aryana maintained her innocent voice.

"It is supposed to be you, not me!" Karla shouted. Marriane glared at her and signaled with her eyes to stop exposing herself.

Erik who was standing at the door looked at Aryana and his lips curled up. He understood what happened.

’Smart girl.’ He praised her silently. Their gazes met briefly then he left. He is not worried about her. She can perfectly take care of herself.

The bodyguards came and cleared the area.

Marriane recovered her senses. She took a robe from the bathroom and put it on Karla. They drove the magazine editor out of the room. Aryana also left the room.

Karla was sobbing. She was inconsolable. Her reputation was ruined.

"We will take care of this mess. I’ll make sure that no photos or videos will be leaked out tonight." Casie said and sat down beside Karla. She massaged her back with her hands to soothe her.

"You have to get change and act as if nothing happened." She added.

"But something happened!" Karla cried harder.

"What happened? Why is it you? Why did you not come out of the room?" Marriane asked her anxiously.

"I don’t know. When I woke up, I felt so hot and I was naked and someone is on top of me. I cannot control myself. I think I had ingested the aphrodisiac."

Karla’s eyes were filled with hate. "I will not let her off! I will make her pay ten times the humiliation that I suffered today."

Cassie was pleased with what she heard. The more enemy Aryana gained, the better for her.

Aryana left the venue with Marlon. She did not wait to have another encounter with Cassie and her friends. She had enough trouble for the day that made her tired.

She sent a message to Erik.

Aryana: Boss, I left with Marlon. I did not see you. Be careful. Your old flame is a cunning little fox.

Erik smiled when he read her message. He replied quickly.

Erik: Not as cunning as you.

The party finally ended after midnight. Erik has a lot of drinks but he was still sober. As promised he sent Cassie back to the Lopez ancestral home.

When they arrived, Erik fell asleep in the car.

"Help me get him inside." She asked the driver and Erik’s bodyguard to bring Erik inside the mansion. They hesitated but eventually conceded. Anyway, their boss picked up the lady earlier.

"He can rest in one of the guest rooms and you just wait for him to wake up."

But instead of leading him to the guest room, Cassie brought him to her room. The butler who opened the door for her frowned but did not say anything.

Cassie undressed Erik and lustfully studied his body. His muscles were toned and firm. She slipped out of her gown and laid down beside him. She pressed her lips on his and started sucking on his neck to leave her marks on him. It was just a pity that he was passed out and was just like a corpse.

Cassie studied Erik’s face. His eyelashes were long and dark. His lips were thin and straight. His nosebridge was high and his nose well sculpted. He has grown more handsome as he matured.

She took a solo shot of Erik and a few selfies of them together. Eventually she felt so sleepy she turned off the bedside lamp and snuggled beside Erik.

Aryana was still awake and has circled their room a hundred times. It was already two am but Erik was not home yet and she had a bad feeling about it. She called him a few times. His cellphone would ring for sometime then it will shift to a robotic tone advising her that her call was not coming through.

Erik found himself in the banquet hall. He saw Aryana dancing with Clark. He approached her and beckon for her. Arayana just looked at him. She twirled and she was now in Antonio’s arms. Erik frowned. He followed her but she was drifting away from him. She twirled again and it was Hector who was holding her, then it was Jax and Mu Feng.

Erik ran after her trying to grab her hands but she was slipping away. Erik heard a distant ringing in his ears. He woke up with a start.

He instinctively touched the space beside him. He felt a soft warm body but it wasn’t Aryana’s. He stiffened.

He saw something light up on the floor below. It was his cellphone ringing and vibrating. He sat by the bed and reached out to grab his phone. It was 3am and he saw a lot of missed calls from Aryana.

Where the heck was he and what happened? He calmed his mind and tried to remember. The last thing he remembered was he was in the car with Cassie.

He suddenly sat up. He was naked and so was the woman beside him. Erik used his cellphone’s flashlight to gather his clothes and put them on.

He looked at Cassie with a glint in his eyes before leaving the room.

’How dare she play a trick on him.’

The mansion was plunged into darkness save for a few dim lights that lighted the main corridors. Erik was furious when he exited the main entrance. He called his driver and the car was in front of him in no time.

"How did I ended up sleeping there?"

"The young Miss asked us to bring you in and let you rest in guest room." The driver explained.

Erik dialed Marlon’s number.

"Hello boss! Do you know what time is it?" Marlon said groggily in the other line.

"Contact King of Aces now. Get me a copy of the CCTV footage in the Lopez ancestral home and have him hack Cassie’s phone right now."

Erik had a bad feeling about what happened. He cannot accept the fact that he fell for Cassie’s trap.

"What happened?" Marlon suddenly became fully awake.

"Cassie played dirty!" Erik briefly replied.

Cassie woke up at 530am. Anytime now, her door should open and the maids will cry in surprise to find Cassie sleeping with a man.

Cassie turned to her right to hug the naked man beside her. She froze. What greeted her was an empty cold space.

Where the heck was Erik? How did he woke up so soon!
