Chapter 94: Ruin Her Reputation

The banquet for Cassie turned into a networking event. Aryana received a lot of offers from product sponsors. Similarly a lot of companies approached Cassie for their product endorsements.

Aryana took a slice of cake and went outside the banquet hall to take some fresh air. Antonio followed her in the balcony.

"I finally got a chance to have time with Aryana." Antonio passed her a glass of wine. Aryana accepted it but did not drink from it.

Aryana regarded him under her long eyelashes.

"My father’s company will be coming out with our new line of jewelry for the young couples. I would like to work with you on this." Antonio stepped closer to her and showed her photos of the jewelries.

"They looked good. You can send the proposal to me and Amy and we will take a look." Aryana stepped back a bit.

"That’s great. I’ll ask my agent to schedule a dinner with you. We can discuss over a meal." Antonio said enthusiastically.

Aryana hummed.

"Oh, there you are Aryana. I’ve been looking for you everywhere. I need you to meet some potential investors for the Galaxy Amusement Park project." Erik narrowed his eyes towards Antonio.

Antonio clenched his fist. He was now convinced that Erik was interested with Aryana. He was guarding her like a hawk.

Erik led Aryana into the rest room area. He pinned her on the wall and captured her lips.

"You are driving me crazy with jealousy." He said hoarsely.

Aryana pushed him away gently.

"Behave yourself boss. You are ruining my lipstick and besides this is a public area." Erik separated from Aryana. He entered the men’s room while Aryana entered the women’s comfort room.

At the end of the corridor, Cassie and her friends saw what happened.

"Did you see that? She was clearly seducing Erik." Cassie blurted out angrily. Smoke was coming out of her nose and ears.

"Don’t worry Cassie will take care of her. Her reputation will be ruined tonight. I still need to get back on her for what she did to me earlier." Marriane vented her frustration. She can’t believe she shoot herself in the foot and became the victim to her own trap.

Erik introduced Aryana to some of their potential investors. Cassie however tried her very best to monopolize Erik. She always ensured that she was by his side.

The three friends of Cassie cornered Aryana in a couch at the back of the banquet hall when Marlon left her for a while to go to the rest room.

They brought her pastries and and glasses of wine and water.

Aryana arched her eyebrows. ’What are these girls planning?’ She thought as she looked at them warily.

"How long have you been working for Erik, Aryana?" They started small talks with her.

"More than six months." Was her brief reply.

"Did you know that Erik and Cassie were a couple back then? They were each other’s first love. Erik already proposed to her and they were about to get married...." Marriane intentionally left her sentence hanging.

"I have heard about it. It is a pity Cassie left." Aryana’s nonchalant reply irked Cassie’s friends.

They were sharing the pastries from the same platter. Aryana opted to drink the water from a sealed bottle instead of the wine.

A waiter approached them and whispered something to Karla.

"Aryana, there is someone who wanted to meet you at the lounge in second floor. He is the editor of Mega Star Magazine." Karla said.

Aryana simply followed the three ladies to the second floor lounge. She felt a little bit dizzy and she was pretty sure the pastries were glazed with drugs. But she had already taken an antidote which Amy has given her.

She was young but not naive. She knew the danger of banquets especially when one is targeted. To drug her, Cassie’s friends sacrificed themselves as well.

Marriane was walking beside Aryana while Rhia and Karla walked behind her. Karla tripped on her and spilled the contents of the wine glass on her back. Aryana was not able to dodge.

"Oh my gosh! I am so sorry Aryana. How reckless of me." Karla was apologetic but it sounded very fake to Aryana.

"There is a changing room over there. Help her clean up Karla. Cassie is also changing on the other room so we will accompany her."

Karla led Aryana to the changing room. Aryana did not say anything but quietly followed Karla inside the room. She could see that Karla’s face was flushed. Looked liked the aphrodisiac has taken its effects on Cassie.

Aryana touched an acupuncture point in Karla’s neck. She slumped. Aryana laid her down on the bed.

’Do you think you can beat me in this game?’ Aryana smirked.

She went inside the bathroom and locked the door while she cleaned herself up.

At the other room, Cassie was changing into a cocktail gown.

"Why is Karla not here yet?"

Marriane and Rhia looked at each other. They also wondered why she was not back yet. She received a notification from her cellphone. When she checked it, she grinned.

"The magazine editor is in the room. We can go in ten minutes." He was a known playboy who slept with the models that get featured into his magazine.

Marriane arranged for paparazzis and a lot of them were crowding at the door. They could hear indecent moans from inside the room.

Someone has called Erik and told him that he was needed at the second floor lounge. He went up and frowned when he saw a lot of people at the door of the changing room.

Someone opened the room forcefully.

Cassie, Marriane and Rhia got the shock of their life. It was Karla who was lying naked under and pinned by the man on the bed.

Karla screamed and hid herself under the blanket.

The man on top of her shouted. "You get out." He was not done with the fun yet.

Marriane and Rhia panicked. They shoved the reporters out.

"This is a misunderstanding. Everyone leave! This is their private matter." Marriane cried in a panicked voice.

’Damn! Why is it Karla? Where was Aryana?’ She cursed.

The door of the bathroom sudddenly opened and Aryana stood there, a shocked expression was on her face.

"On, my gosh, I just stepped inside the bathroom to clean up and left Karla here." Aryana said and threw an innocent gaze on the bed.
