A few others eyes were watching Erik and Aryana in the dance floor.

Grandpa Lee’s forehead furrowed. Erik was obvious in showing his care to that woman.

"Who is that woman Erik is dancing with?" Vicente Lopez asked.

"She is Erik’s assistant and at the same the Ambassador of Gaeya Corporation."

Grandpa Lee said casually.

"She is beautiful." Vicente Lopez admitted.

"Look at that vixen seducing Erik!" Marriane who was sitting beside Marlon fumed.

Julia who heard her comment laughed. "What does that has to do with her? It is your best friend’s fault she cannot keep the man on her side." She then extended her hand to Franco inviting him to dance.

"I will teach that vixen a lesson." Marriane angrily said.

Marlon narrowed his eyes. "Be careful Marriane. That is Erik’ people you are talking about."

"Are you siding with her? Where is your loyalty?" Mariane complained.

Marlon just kept quiet.

At the dance floor, Julia and Cassie accidentally bumped into each other.

"You are over the moon cousin. Enjoying your night eh?" Julia said sarcastically.

"Oh yes, cousin! It is finally my time to shine! Your reign is over!" She flashed her a triumphant smile.

"Well, enjoy it while you can cousin." She also flashed her a practiced smile. She then led Franco to the other side of the dance floor.

Erik wanted to spend more time in the dance floor with Aryana but it will put her on the spot. He reluctantly led her back to her table.

Clark intercepted her and asked her for a dance. Erik can only grit his teeth. He went back and joined the people in the VIP table.

"Why don’t you work as a full time artist Aryana? You will definitely earn more." Clark placed his palm on her waist.

Aryana felt uncomfortable. She tried to create distance between her and Clark.

"I am happy with the current arrangement Mr. Ham."

"Clark. Just call me Clark." he interrupted her.

"I am happy being a part time model Clark." She repeated.

"Okay then. Let me know if you change your mind. I can give you more resources."

Aryana simply nodded.

She was twirling when she felt someone tripped her. She almost fell but she had good reflexes and Clark was also quick to support her.

"Opps sorry." It was Marianne. " I did not see you."

Aryana pursed her lips.

"It’s okay. Accidents happen."

She asked Clark to go back with the excuse that she was tired. Someone talked to Clark so Aryana was left alone.

Cassie’s three friends followed her to her table. Marriane took a glass of wine from the passing waiter. She passed it Aryana and said.

"Since you are friends with Cassie, then we also would like to be friends with you."

Aryana knew that they were not sincere. Well she can play their game.

"I am Marriane, this is Rhia and Karla." Marriane introduced themselves.

Aryana raised her wine glass to the three ladies and down it. The ladies followed suit.

Marriane signaled the waiter. She took another wine glass and pass it to Aryana. Aryana saw through her plan when the glass tilted towards her. She stepped back and reached out to block the wine glass that Marriane intentionally tilted towards her. The wine that was spilled changed direction and spilled on Marriane’s gown instead.

Marriane screamed.

"What have you done?" Marriane asked angrily.

"Sorry, it is purely instinct. You wanted to spill the wine on me." Aryana said matter of factly.

Marriane glared at her and was fuming. She left with her friends to go to the rest room to clean up.

Cassie approached Aryana. She was with Antonio Lopez.

"Hello Aryana." Cassie swept her from her head to toe. ’Damn she looked good.’

"I heard that you and Antonio has collaborated in some projects in the past?"

Aryana nodded.

"Congratulations on your welcome banquet. You look stunning tonight." Aryana plastered a practiced smile on her face.

"Thank you. Can we take a picture? I’m pretty sure we will be collaborating in the near future as we belong in the same company."

Antonio squeezed in the middle of the two women. But before Cassie can snap on the camera, Erik came and pulled Aryana away. He then inserted himself between Antonio and Aryana standing like a block of ice.

"Mind if I join you guys?" He said expressionlessly.

Cassie gave an akward smile.

Antonio gritted his teeth.

Aryana was speechless. ’What’s with Erik?’

Cassie managed to get a selfie. She passed her cellphone to Antonio.

"Cousin, take a photo of the three of us." She pushed him out and leaned closer to Erik and hooked her hand in the crook of his arm.

Erik frowned but he did not remove her hand. Aryana just stood casually at his side as she smiled brightly into the camera.

Cassie and Erik’s pose was intimate while she appeared like a bystander beside a loving couple.

With Erik’s prodding, Marlon approached Aryana and said. "I finally got my date back." He pulled her away.

Erik went back to his grandfather leaving Cassie and Antonio.

"What happened to my playboy cousin. You are useless tonight. You did not even manage to dance with her." She taunted.

"What can I do? Two powerful CEOs are protecting her."

"You need to work hard cousin. Don’t be so disappointing." With that she left and rejoin her grandparents in the table.

Antonio clenched his fist.

"Cassie, your Grandma and I are heading home. We are old and this is tiring us." Vicente Lopez said in a tired voice.

"Take care on the way home Grandpa, Grandma! Thank you so much for tonight. I am so happy." She beamed.

"The night is still young so enjoy yourself." The Lopez patriarch looked towards Erik and said. "Erik, I’ll trouble you to send Cassie back."

"Don’t worry Grandpa, I’ll send her back." Erik said politely.

Cassie was pleased when she heard Erik will send her back. She made arrangements and she just needed to work out her plans.
