Chapter 207: It Is Her

The helicopter arrived after a few minutes. The paramedics did not waste any time. They carried the patient to the helicopter, hooked her to an IV, and placed an oxygen mask over her face.

Mu Heng followed the patient in the helicopter. No matter how much the butler persuaded him not to, he remained stubborn. The butler had no choice but to call his grandson Mu Feng as his two sons were on a business trip and he was not on good terms with his eldest son.

Mu Heng’s thoughts were chaotic. Who was the woman? Why was the necklace that he gave his girlfriend back then on her?

The helicopter landed on the rooftop of the hospital owned by the Mu Family. Mu Heng was welcomed by the Director who was on duty at that time.

"That young woman is severely injured. Do everything you can to save her."

"Master, if I may ask, what is the name of the patient?"

Mu Heng froze. He did not know the identity of the person. "Just register her as Mu Lan."

The young woman was about to be wheeled to the emergency room when Mu Feng arrived. It was obvious that he has just gotten out of bed as his hair was a little unkempt.

"Grandpa, what happened? I thought you were seriously injured." He scanned his grandfather from head to toe and found that he has no injury. It looked like he was still muddle-headed when he received the call from the butler.

He caught a glimpse of the woman on the stretcher.

"Wait!" He shouted. He approached the stretcher and studied the woman behind the oxygen mask."

"Why it is her?"

The nurses did not waste anymore of their time. They wheeled the patient to the emergency room.

"Do you know her?"

"Yes. Her name is Aryana Jones. She is the model I am working with in some of my designs."

"Why does her name sound familiar?"

"I think you met her before Grandpa. Mu Chen introduced her to you."

Mu Heng nodded. He called his assistant and instructed him to go to the hospital.

His assistant arrived after 20 minutes.

"Investigate the background of Aryana Jones from the country of Malacan. She is from the Central District."

Mu Feng was surprised when he heard what his grandpa said. He frowned.

"Why are you interested in Aryana, Grandpa?"

"She has something that was mine." Mu Heng said in a serious tone. "Since you know her, you can provide the information to Gu Long."

After a week, Mu Heng received a report about Aryana Jones. The report said that her father was the son of an American soldier and her mother was half-Chinese. The mother died when she was young while his father died when she was in high school.

A rich CEO, Erik Lee, who was her father’s employer was her guardian and they seemed to have an ambiguous relationship. Aryana Jones became the CEO of a local famous brand called CoChi and she recently received an award for The Most Promising CEO from Central District’s Chamber of Commerce. She was kidnapped a week ago from a yacht when she was having a photoshoot.

Her guardian, Erik Lee ordered a thorough search for her and the search was still ongoing.

After reading the report, Mu Heng clutched the documents tightly. "I finally found my granddaughter!"

Mu Feng and Mu Chen who were with him in the study were surprised by what their grandfather said.

"What did you say, Grandpa? You have a granddaughter? How could it be?" Mu Feng asked in disbelief.

The old man sighed heavily. Then he shared how he fell in love with a young lady when he was exiled to Malacan because he offended his grandfather. He got together with the young lady and she got pregnant. When she was about to give birth he was forced to return to China.

"I promised Ning Ning that I will come back for them but I had to fulfill an engagement with your grandmother and she gave me three sons. I was so happy that I forgot about Ning Ning. When your grandma died, I looked for them and I learned that Ning Ning died from a calamity and my daughter was missing."

The two grandchildren were in a daze. They did not know that their grandpa has a big secret.

"Then, why did you say that Aryana is your granddaughter? She looked so different from us."

"She has Ning Ning’s cute dimples. When I found her, she was wearing a locket on her. I left the necklace to Ning Ning for our daughter."

"Granpa, you cannot decide based on a locket. There are so many lockets in the world." Mu Chen sighed. His grandpa was already old and sentimental.

"This is my first jewelry design and there is only one in this world." He took a box from the drawer of his desk.

"At the back of the twin hearts, I engraved the word Ning and Lingyun." He said as he passed the locket to his two grandchildren.

Indeed there was an inscription of Ning and Lingyun at the back of the twin hearts.

"But what if the necklace is not hers Grandpa? It is not that I don’t like her to be my cousin. It is just that this is a big thing and we should be very careful." Mu Feng shared his thoughts. Like Mu Cheng, he felt a certain affinity for Aryana. He thought he has just a crush on her. Was it because she was related to him by blood?

"At my age and after what I have achieved, do you think I am stupid? Our business had grown by leaps and bounds because of my wisdom." Old Master Mu was furious. He wanted to hit his grandson with a cane.

Mu Feng took three steps back when his grandpa raised his cane and acted as if he would really hit him.

"Grandpa, don’t get angry. You have not talked to your granddaughter yet." Mu Feng tried to appease him.

"I remembered the first time I met her at the banquet, it seemed as if something tugged at my heart. Besides, I did a paternity test with the girl and it is a 92% match."
