Chapter 191: Complaints

"Have you checked the internet?"

"No. I am busy Marriane and I have no time." Cassie said impatiently.

"I thought you are interested to know. CoChi has opened its first offline store today in Prism. Guess who are hugging the headlines now?"

"Tell me."

"It is your best friend Aryana Jones." Marriane teased Cassie.

"And how is she hugging the headlines?" Cassie was curious.

Marianne giggled at the other line. She was sure that Cassie has her attention on her.

"Guess who are the important guests who attended the store’s ribbon cutting ceremony?"

"Who else could it be, if not Erik Lee?" Cassie said angrily.

"Hmmp. You are so boring. You should have pretended to not guess it."

"Marianne," Cassie said with irritation. "If there is nothing else, I’ll hung up. As I said, I am busy."

"Wait, don’t hang up yet. Don’t you want to check her out? I heard that Aryana is a major shareholder. Other than Erik, Clark Ham is also there and the rising star Cookie. Franco, Marlon, and Alex are also there which validates the fact that Aryana should be a major shareholder. Come to think of it, where would Aryana get the money to invest? Perhaps Erik has given her some benefits?"

Cassie clenched her fists.

"Most probably. She is together with Erik and he must have given her money. What a slut." Cassie said through gritted teeth.

"How about, let us go there to make trouble on her shop?"

Cassie pondered for a while. "Let’s go but find someone else to do the dirty job."

Cassie ended the call. She wrapped up her meeting with the account manager and prepared to go to Prism and meet with her friends.

At the Lustre mansion, Katherine was lying on her stomach on the bed. Her legs were raised and crossed against each other. She was casually browsing the web when she came across the a photo of Aryana and Erik together with another man that she did not recognize. She read through the comments and she learned that the photo was taken at the opening of CoChi at the Prism. Erik was the guest of honor along with an actress called Cookie.

She did a quick search of CoChi and the search results showed a lot of images of Aryana.

’So, she was the spoke person of CoChi.’

Katherine got from her bed and change into a dress, then she went down and asked the driver to send her to Prism. Someone in the event has started a live stream and she was watching the while she was in the car.

She caught a glimpse of Erik and Aryana talking to each other. She saw Aryana smiled and Erik smiled back and then the camera shifted to another person.

’Damn! Why did she has to move the camera at such moment."

Katherine typed quickly on her cell phone.

’Focus the camera back to Erik Lee.’

’Agree with her. Get Erik Lee back on the frame. Do not follow insignificant people.’

’Erik is so handsome. I will give anything just to be his date for a day.’

Erik Lee and Aryana Jones were once again back in the frame. They were happily talking to each other.

’What are they talking about? It is not common to see the Erik Lee in such a good mood. He looked even more dashing. My heart is a mess.’

’Don’t they look good together? I remembered the Bay Garden Residences wedding commercial. They looked a perfect match there.’

’Hmmp. They are not a match after all. She is just a lowly model who has pretty face. How can she measure up to our high and mighty CEO?’

’What a handsome man. I am happy to die after sleeping with him for one night.’

’Shameless. You don’t deserve Erik Lee.’

’And who do you think deserve him? You? How dare you covet my husband?’

Katherine frowned as she continued to read through the comments. She didn’t know that there were so many women who fantasize about Erik.

’I seem to have so many love rivals. Hmm. Let them fantasize about him. Only I can I have Erik Lee.’

Suddenly the camera shifted to another person. it was Clark Ham and the actress Cookie. They were exiting the store. When the camera shifted again, it showed the back of Erik and Aryana walking side by side. Aryana was holding Erik’s hand just below the elbow.

Katherine’s frown grew deeper. ’Why does she has to hold his hand?’ She was angry. She was a very possessive person and she was also a spoiled child. Whatever she wanted ever since she was child has always been provided to her by her parents. Her parents doted on her so much that they had given in to her whims. Even when her demands were unreasonable her parents would see to it that they were fulfilled.

For some reason, Erik turned around and his cold eyes were caught on the camera. Katherine felt a chill run down her spine. Erik’s lips moved and suddenly the camera shifted and was focusing on Cookie.

The Lustre mansion was far from where Prism was. Traffic was also heavy at that so by the time Katherine arrived at the Prism, most of the guests have already left including Erik who still has a meeting with a client.

Aryana and Elaine went back the shop after dinner has ended. Vince took Jessa home because she was pregnant and it was not good for her to get tired. Rex and Ariel also went back to attend to some their guests who were interested to buy their clothes.

Aryana and Elaine were surprised to see Cassie and her friends at the Prestige section of the shop.

"Congratulations Aryana. The shop looks good." Cassie extended her hand for a handshake.

"Oh, you should congratulate Rex." Aryana called Rex over. She did not want to have an interaction with Cassie and her friends.

"But I don’t know him. It is you I know. I am congratulating you as the brand’s spokesperson and as a major shareholder." Cassie showed her a fake smile.

’So she thought I am just a shareholder. That’s good.’ Aryana thought to herself.

"What kind of dress is this? The strap is torn." A woman in her twenties came out from the fitting room in a blue dress with thin straps at the shoulders. She was holding the dress so it will not fall off.

She was very loud and her voice attracted the attention of other shoppers.

"How can this happen? This store has just opened today." A shopper whispered to her companion.

"I fit that same dress earlier and it looked fine. It is just a little too tight for me so I cannot buy it." Another shopper said and her words did not escape Aryana’s and Elaine’s ears.

Elaine went to the rack where the dresses are kept on the hangers. She took a dress similar to what the woman was wearing. She approached the customer calmly.

"Ma’am pleas try this dress. They are the same color and style." Elaine examined the dress closely and even showed it to the customer.

"Ma’am, I checked this out and there should not have any problem at all." Elaine even pulled on the strap to show her that the thread was strong.

"You have wasted my precious time. I don’t like to change anymore. The workmanship of your dresses are so bad. It is so hard to get into them and they get ruined easily. What cheap product!"

"We apologize for your inconvenience Ma’am. If you may, please return the dress to us so we can check what went wrong. Don’t you really want to try another one of that dress? It really looked good on you."

"Don’t you think that the woman is intentionally making a fuss?" The shopper who said that she tried the same dress earlier spoke. She made sure that her voice was loud enough to be heard by her.

The woman who complained glared at her. "You, what are you saying there? Are you saying that I am unreasonable?"

"I did not say that. It is you who said that you are unreasonable. I fitted that dress earlier. How come the strap was not broken to think that it was even tighter on me?" The woman who has short hair narrowed her eyes and placed her hands on her hips. She hated schemers the most and her gut was telling her that the woman in front of her was intentionally creating a ruckus.

Elaine scratched her head. She did not know how to handle the situation.

"Are you insinuating that I ruined the dress on purpose?"

The woman with short hair chucked. "Lady, you are giving yourself away. I did not say that you ruined the dress on purpose. It is you who said that."

Cassie pursed her lips. How could Marianne get such a stupid woman?
