Nyx sat with Archi in the room provided for them. Archi had become much more better with Oberon around though Nyx didn’t allow him go close to him.

Archi played somewhere around room while Nyx busied herself in knitting some sweaters for Archi.

There was a knock on the door, she raised her head, "Who is it? Come in," she said.

The door slowly opened, someone peeked in the room.

"Come inside," she repeated.

The door fully opened, revealing Elena.

Archi eyes widened, Nyx creased her brows, what was she doing here?

She stood up, "Good day your Majesty," she greeted casually, looking somewhere else.

Elena sighed, she could feel the hurt within her, she walked towards her slowly.

"How are you my dear?"

Nyx sneered, she was never ’dear’ to her in anyway, so why all this pretence?

"I am fine, thank you your majesty," she replied coldly.

She smiled softly, "So.. uh.. Nyx, I just wanted to say.. thank you... you saved my son," she smiled.

"It was my obligation, I guess," she shook her head trying her best not to scoff.

Nyx looked at Archi, who was staring at both ladies with keen interest. Worried, she might be rude to Elena in the presence of Archi, she sent him to Dora who was in the garden.

"Why did you send him outside?"

She scoffed, "You want to talk to me, it would be rude if a pup listened to the conversation."

Elena bit her lips, "Oh, I understand," she nodded.

Nyx sighed, and offered her a chair, "You should sit," she said softly. She might hate her now, but she didn’t lose her manners.

Elena felt relieved, she sat down on the chair, while Nyx sat on the bed.

"Nyx.. I," she was unable to find her words.

She continued her knitting, "I am all ears your Majesty," she said softly.

Elena gulped, at that moment, she felt so guilty, "Nyx I am so sorry, I was very horrible to you, and I regret it already," she shook her head sadly.

"Yeah, it is really not your fault is it?"

"It is all my fault, if I had told Oberon what had happened, you would not have gone through any trouble, none of this would have happened, I really apologize, I made a big mistake."

"Hm, I think so," Nyx muttered.

"You saved us Nyx, you saved our pack, we could never repay you," she was close to tears.

Nyx continued her knitting, still unshaken, "Well, you could repay me though," she smiled to herself.

Elena listened, "We could? How?"

"If you do what I say, then, yes."

She creased her brows, "What do you mean by that?"

"I am trying to say, you could repay me if you did what I asked."

"Oh, then what would that be?"

Nyx exhaled deeply, "It could be a hard one, I do not know if you are really ready for this," she shook her head.

"Just say it, we could find a way to sort it out."

"Hm, I see, you are really eager to do it, so, I will tell you then," she exhaled.

"Go on, I am all ears," she said.

Nyx closed her eyes, "Alright then, here it goes," she said the last words to herself.

Elena listened patiently.

"I would really want it if my son stayed away from Oberon, so I would appreciate if you, Oberon, and other members of the royal court stayed away from my son, that is all I ask."

Elena blinked her eyes, "Why are you saying this?" She asked shocked.

"That is because I do not want anyone to go close to him," she said firmly.

"But.. why?"

"That is all I ask, it is not as if I wanted to come back here, but I had no choice," she looked away.

Elena was speechless, "Nyx.. he is my..."

"No, he is not, you did not want him six years back, there is no need wanting him now," she sounded with a note of finality.

"Nyx, is this not a little too much?"

"No, that is what I want, so I would be grateful if you could do this for me, I am asking for nothing more," she said as softly she could.

"This is a little too much, I.. how do you want me to stay away from Archi?" She asked in shock.

"You can do it, just avoid him, it is that simple," she shrugged.

"But Nyx.. please, I do not want to stay away from him. I made a mistake, I accept it but do not tell me to stay away, please."

Nyx bit her lips, "I just have to do this, I do not want to risk him getting hurt, it would be best if he was away from all of you."

"Hurt him? There is no way I would want to hurt my grand son, why would I do that?"

"Well, you have done it once, you could do it again."

"Nyx, I did it out of ignorance, he already had his mate and..."

"That is it, since he already has his mate, she should continue being with him, I do not want to go close to him, it is that simple."

Elena was hurt, "Nyx," she was choked.

"I am sorry your majesty, but this is the best way I can heal, by staying away from all of you, you had hurt me and it is not easy to heal just at once," she bit her lips.

Elena gulped, "Oh, I see,"she said sadly.

She stood up, "I respect your decision, if that is what you want then, it is not a problem then," she sniffled.

Nyx looked at her intently, Elena looked away to hide the tears that were forming in her eyes.

"I will leave you to yourself then," she said quietly and left the room in a hurry.

Nyx watched her leave, "It hurts you, that is how it hurt me six years ago."
