Chapter 57: Doubts

"Where did he go all of a sudden?" Oberon asked her, towering above her.

She shook her head, "I do not know, he just disappeared," she gulped.

He squinted his eyes, "Are you actually trying to play with me?"

She shook her head, "No, I am saying the truth," she closed her eyes, scared of the burning look in his eyes.

He gritted his teeth, frustration and anger building inside of him.

"Tell me the truth, I want nothing but the truth."

"I am saying the truth, believe me please."

He held his head. The moon priest walked to her.

"My lady, please tell us the truth, we need to work out everything and it will all fall in place."

"Why do you not believe me? I am saying the truth, would I just make up something like this?"

"Just do what you want with her," Oberon said and walked out frustrated.

The moon priest stared at her intently, "Are you sure you are saying the truth?"

She nodded, a glint of hope in her heart, "Yes, I am."

He sighed, drew a chair close to her and sat down, "You are the one then."

She squinted her eyes, "What do you mean?"

"You will give birth to one of the most special pups in werewolf history, I had receive this prophecy earlier on but I was not sure of who it was until I heard of this."

Her eyes widened, "What do you mean?"

"Your pup happens to be more than he is, but what he is, I do not know," he shook his head.

She blinked her eyes, "Why did you not tell all these to Oberon?" She frowned deeply.

He gave her a knowing smile, "If only you could see what I saw, you would not have asked that question," he smiled.

"Why can you not tell him? What have you seen? I am tired of trying to explain to him and he still does not believe me," she closed her eyes, tired.

"I am sorry my lady, he does not want to hear any of that, I do not know why but I can not tell him, it is not written down."

She raised a brow, "I am confused, I do understand what you mean."

"All I can say is, you give birth to a very special pup and his Majesty can not know of it."

She stared at him, surprise and confusion clearly written on her face.

"With time, you will understand all that I have said. Do not surprised if the child displays any kind of unusual traits, it his destiny, and nothing can stop that."

"Why can Oberon not know?" She shrugged.

He shook his head, "My lady, he can not know, if he knew about this now, he would do something drastic and this would affect him later on."

She blinked in confusion, "Then why is my child appearing to me now before his birth?"

"He came here to help you the few times he could and to also tell you that he is not as usual as the other pups."

She exhaled, still trying to digest everything he had just said.

He stood up, "There is nothing I can do, I am glad to meet the mother of such a divine pup, it was such a privilege my lady," he bowed.

She creased her brows, "What am I supposed to say to Oberon?"

"Never mention anything about the child to him, it is not yet his time to know about him," with that, he left her to be by herself.

Dora’s jaws dropped in shock, "Wow, really?"

Nyx nodded, "Yes, that has been it all along. He is unusual, and I really went through a lot in Oberon’s hands," she sighed sadly.

"Hmph, Oberon was not really very nice," she creased her brows, "His name even sounds familiar."

Nyx blinked her eyes, "Hehe, he is an Alpha, his name is bound to be familiar, hehe," she smiled softly.

Dora propped up her chin, "Hm, this is scary as it is interesting, Archi a special pup, something will happen to Oberon, what exactly will happen to him?"

"I can not answer that, he never told me, he kept saying Archi was a special pup and that was all," she shrugged.

"Hm, I wish I could know what would later happen," she squinted her eyes.

Nyx smiled, "What will happen, will happen. We just have to wait, it will eventually unfold," she stood up, "Let me go and check up on Archi, he must be awake now."

Dora nodded, "Sure, thank you for the story, I wish it could continue another time."

Nyx chuckled, "Can you get enough of a story?"

"Hehe, this one is completely different," she grinned.

Nyx shook her head and left her to be by herself.

"Hm, Oberon... Why do I feel I know this person? He sounds so familiar," she muttered.

She stood up feeling restless, this story had intrigued and made her worried too. She left the room and headed outside, she wanted to clear her head.

"Nyx says he is an Alpha," she cocked her head to the side, she raised her palms and looked at them, "But I am not," she said quietly.

She looked at the sky, the stars smiled back at her trying to reassure her but the bugging feeling still tugged at her chest.

"I do not feel right, I am beginning to think that there is something connecting the three of us together," she rubbed her chin.

She folded her arms, and sat on the grass, "Oberon.." she called again.

"That name," she shivered, "It gives me goosebumps," she gently rubbed her elbows.

Her head went through the story all over again, "I feel something between us, the way Nyx describes him, he is so much like someone I was once around," she closed her eyes trying her best to remember who it was.

"There is something about this story, it has a root, and that I must get. The root of this all," she resolved.
