Selena looked at him with gratitude in her eyes.

"You do not know how much this means to me, I do not want to share you with anyone," she hugged him, burying her head in his chest.

He wrapped his arms around her, "I think you are right, I should not think about her too much. She chose to run away, it is her choice," he sighed.

"Exactly, that is what I mean."

He sighed deeply, "I am so sorry Selena, I am promising you that from now on, it is you and only you," he smiled, gently caressing her hair.

She felt so happy within her, she looked up at him, "When do we commence on our mating ceremony? To be honest, I am really getting kind of impatient."

"We will do that in two days, we need to have a lot of preparation for it, hun?"

She nodded, "Yes, you are right."

"You must be tired, go have some rest," he patted her shoulder.

She shook her head, "I want to stay with you," she pouted.

"Are you sure? I might work a lot today, and besides it is already getting late, why not have some rest?"

She shook her head, "I am okay here with you, I will not go anywhere."

He arched his brow, "Okay, but just in case you feel sleepy, go and have some rest, okay?"

She nodded.

He smiled at her and resumed his work. She sat opposite him, waiting patiently for him to finish his work.

After some minutes, they heard a knock on the door, "Come in," Selena quickly said.

The door was opened and a maid walked in, holding a tray with a cup of coffee on it. She dropped it in front of Oberon, "Here is your coffee, my lord," she said, her cheeks burning.

Selena squinted her eyes, "You can leave now."

She bowed and left the study room.

Oberon didn’t even look up.

"Do you not want some coffee? It is really good for you, you should have some since you will be working very late today."

He shook his head, "Do not worry, I am okay for now."

She thinned her lips, "If you say so then."

"Selena, I do not think staying with me is a good idea, you should really go to sleep," he said without looking up.

"I promise, I am fine, just keep doing your work."

He raised his head to look at her, he arched his brow, "Are you sure you can wait?"

She nodded, "I am positive about that."

He nodded and resumed with what he was doing.

She waited for a very long time but he still wasn’t done, she was already getting drowsy but she still didn’t leave.

Oberon finally stopped with what he was doing and sighed. His head was throbbing so he gently massaged his temples.

Her eyes brightened when she noticed he had stopped.

He sniffed and took the cup of coffee and gulped it down. Her heart danced as she saw him drinking it.

"Thank goodness," a small smile played at the corner of her lips.

He dropped the cup back and sighed, "That was good," he muttered.

She heaved, "Finally, he finally drank it."

He looked up at her, "You are still here? Whoa, you really have a lot of patience."

She smiled, "I had to wait."

He stood up, "Let us go rest together then, I am already done for tonight."

Selena could feel the butterflies in her stomach throwing a party.

She quickly stood up and went over to hold his hand, "Why can we not spend the night together?"

He blinked and shook his head, he was getting drowsy.

"Uh.. why do you want to?"

"I am your mate after all, you can spend the night with me," she pouted.

He was getting dizzy, he though he could see her wavering.

"Uh.. sure, sure, let us go then."

She grinned and held his hand, leading him to her room.

They got there, she helped him sit on the bed.

"Is this my room?"

"Of course, it is, our room," she replied.

"Hmm, I am feeling drowsy all of a sudden, I do not know why."

"There is no need to be bothered about it, maybe you are sleepy."

He rubbed his temples, "Mmh, I think so," he muttered.

She came to meet him on the bed, she was wearing a very transparent nightgown. She wrapped her arms around his shoulders, gently caressing them.

"Oberon," she whispered.

"Hmm?"

Her hands slid from his shoulders down to his chest.

"What do you want?" He asked sleepily.

She wrapped a leg around his torso, "Please Oberon, make love to me."

He opened his eyes and looked at her, she really looked attractive but he wasn’t in the mood for anything.

"Uh.. can that be another time? For now, I’m so tired," he yawned.

"Please Oberon," her hands were all over him.

He moaned softly, "Uhmm, Selena, not now," he groaned but he didn’t try pushing her away.

She smiled, it was working, he was too weak to resist her.

She softly kissed his lips now climbing atop him and sitting on his groin area. She kissed him wildly. He moaned in her lips and returned it back with vigor.

She gently stripped him to the waist, still kissing him wildly. He wrapped his hands around her waist.

She pushed him gently on the bed and continued seducing him.

She had her way with him that night.

Nyx sat down gently patting her stomach, memories of how she narrowly escaped death kept flashing in her head.

She was grateful but still scared, she began to wonder how they were going to survive.

Dora came to sit beside her, "I prepared supper with the little left," she said softly.

Nyx turned to face her, "Dora, venturing into the woods for food is now unsafe, what exactly are we supposed to do now?"

She shook her head, "I do not know, but we have to keep pushing, somehow and someway, we have to find food to keep us going."

She sighed, "I just want to make sure my little pup does not starve in there," she held her head.

"Everything will be fine, do not worry, I will go out again tomorrow to look for some more, but maybe not in the woods."

Nyx sighed deeply, she trembled with thought, if she couldn’t provide for herself now, what will she do when the baby arrives?

"Let us go have supper."

They stood up and headed to the dining.

All of a sudden, Nyx felt a sharp pain in her abdomen.

"Ah!"

Dora rushed to her, "Are you okay? What is the matter?"

"I think... I think the baby is coming out!"
