Chapter 209: "What kind of a Lycan is he?"

Nyx looked at the bodies one more time, and shook her head, "That will teach you," she smirked, "I am not who you think I am," she turned on her heels, walking away without a care in the world.

It did not matter if they came for her anymore, she would finish them off, she was tired of being referred to as a weakling. She would show them, she would show them.

She stopped to take in her surroundings, "This is not the way home," she held her head sighing. She turned on her heels, stepping on Vlad, and Maximum’s bodies.

Taking another route, she sauntered all the way till she got to a pathway. A scent hit her nose, making her to pause.

"Archi?" She whipped her head to the side, but saw no one. Her heard began to pound in her rib cage, "He passed this place, where has he gone to? Back to Draven?" Her breath dragged, "Oh no," she swallowed the lump that was forming in her throat.

She looked around one more time, "Oh no, is he still close by?" She followed the traces of his scent.

"How do I get him to come back? Going there would be a waste of his time, and a burst of unnecessary fighting," she slapped her forehead.

"Archi? Archi come back!" She yelled as hard as she could. She paused, waiting for an answer, but none came.

She began to panic, "No," she whimpered, her walking turned into brisk steps, soon she was running hoping to catch up with him.

The more she ran, the more his scent grew fainter, and fainter.

"Huh?"

"That is not right," she shook her head. She stopped running to catch her breath.

"Which way exactly did he take?’" She placed her hands on her waist.

"This is trouble," she slowly shook her head.

Archi and Thane had arrived at Draven’s hideout.

"This is it?" Thane sniffed.

"Hm- hm? Recognize the scent?"

"Yes.. I do," he nodded, "My bad, we were only going in twists!" He slapped his forehead.

"Let us go confront him right away," Archi pulled him by the hand, and led him to the front door.

"I am.. right behind you Archi," he gulped, "This people were not nice with me," he shook his head.

"You do not need their kindness, we are going in together, and we will do this together, now let us go," he pulled Thane by the hand, burst through the front door, walking through the hallway.

"Draven! Draven! Come out wherever you are!" He yelled enraged.

Archi was still impatient as Draven had not shown up, so he began to search the rooms.

"Do not even try hiding! I will scout you out, and kill you mercilessly!" He swore.

He finally bumped into Draven, "Where is my mother?" He gritted his teeth, "Be quick now that you still breathe," he snapped.

"Ar-chi.. I thought you were gone?" Draven’s eyes widened, I’m disbelief.

"That was not what I asked you. Answer me!"

"I.. do not know.. she ran away," he trembled.

Archi squinted his eyes, "She ran away? What?"

He nodded, "She left about.. half an hour ago.." his voice shook.

Archi flung his sword at him, but he was quick to dodge it before it struck.

"You bloody Lunacurse! How dare you?!" He swung the sword at him again, "Where has she gone to? Tell me! Where is she?!" He kept swinging his sword back and forth at him.

"I do not know! She ran away, how am I supposed to know that?" He lashed back.

"You dirty rogue!" He cursed, and swung one last time, this time the blade hit Draven on his arm, causing him to bleed.

Draven hissed, falling back to the ground, "What do you even want from us rogues! Why can we not have our peace?"

"That is not what I want to answer at the moment, just tell me where my mother is, that is all I care about now, what exactly did you do to her that caused her to run away?"

"Archi I do not think any of this will help, we should go back, and look for her before any bad thing happens to her."

Archi paused, "You are right.. let us get out of here, talking to him is of no use to me right now," he turned on his heels to leave.

Draven held his bleeding arm, and sneered, he was not just going to let him leave just like that! This pride of his has to stop!

He managed to get to his feet. Bringing out a small silver knife he had in his clothes, he briskly walked towards Archi without Archi noticing, and stabbed him at the back.

Thane was horrified, "Archi!" He gasped.

He faced Draven, who had an evil smirk on his face, "That ends it, you think all rogues are just going to succumb to you just like that? This has to end now!" He drew out the knife.

Thane held Archi’s hand, "Archi you are hurt!" He faced Draven, "You!" He rushed at Draven, giving him several blows before he could react. He reached for Draven’s hand, wriggling the knife out of his grip.

Thane noticing his unrelenting grip, kicked him hard in the groin, and he let go.

He took the knife from him, kicked him again, and slashed his face till it was battered with knife slashes.

He whipped his head to the side to find Archi face flat on the ground.

"Oh no!’ he clenched his fists, running back to where Archi lay on the ground.

"He will die soon!" Draven laughed hysterically, then coughed, "You will see!"

The commotion attracted some of Draven’s men who came running. They instantly recognized Thane, but this time he was prepared.

Before any of them could reach him, he carried Archi, and slung him over his shoulder, then he slid past them knocking them out of the way.

Some of them ran to attend to Draven, while some followed in hot pursuit of Thane.

"I can not lose you too Archi," he gulped, "I will make sure nothing happens to you for real this time," he said that more to assure himself, than Archi.

"Thane," Archi coughed.

"I have got you, there is nothing to worry about!" He tapped him lightly.

"Make sure they do not escape! Get them!"

Thane increased his pace, skidding out of the front door.

"Thane," Archi called again.

"Uh-huh?"

"Do not worry about me, put me down."

"What?"

"Just put me down," he said again.

Confused, Thane put him down. He arched his brow, "Oh! Right! You are a Lycan," he laughed nervously, "Sorry, I panicked."

The wound had already regenerated, and he was looking as if a knife didn’t just run through him.

The rogues came rushing at Thane, but abruptly paused when they saw that Archi was well again.

Thane mocked them, "Come get us now," he shook his bottom at them.

Archi rolled his eyes, hitting his head, "Be serious for once!"

"Yes, yes, Hmph!" He folded his arms across his chest.

"I.. thought he was hurt earlier?"

"Not anymore," he cracked his neck, "You see I did not really come here to kill anyone, but you all have pushed me to the limit."

He took out a silver pellet bomb.

Thane gasped, "What are you doing with that? Where did you find that?"

"At the Palace," he shrugged.

The rogues saw what he brought out, and began to scamp about for safety. Archi shook his head, "Tsk," with that, he threw the bomb towards them.

"Come on, go, go go!" Archi held his hand, running out of there before the bomb would explode.

"Why would you even think of taking a silver pellet bomb with you!" Thane cried in horror.

"I knew it would be useful, I just had to use it," he shrugged.

"You know how dangerous that thing is! We could get wiped out along with it!"

They were already 7 meters away from the house, "Quick begins this tree! Bend down, and stub your ears with your hands!"

Thane did as he ordered, and before he knew it, boom! The bomb had exploded!

The force spread fast wiping some things along the way, but Thane, and Archi had dug their feet deep into the ground firmly.

After a while they got to thier feet, "Never do this again!" Thane scolded Archi.

Archi chuckled, and looked back af the already wiped out house, "Not one left," he smirked, "That would teach them not to mess with my mother," he adjustef his shirt.

"Let us go," he grinned at Thane who gawked at him.

"Do not stand there gawking, come on, let us continue searching for Mother," he put his hands in his pockets, walking away.

"What kind of a Lycan is he?" He wondered, "He is on another level," he gulped, "Wow."

"Are you coming or not? We have my mother to find!"
