The Alpha's long lost heir -
Chapter 195: Who really is he?
Chapter 195: Who really is he?
Archi sat outside watching the sun set. The head of the palace guards had been rushed to see the doctor after the fight, and no one had called for him to see the king ever since then. Not that he was scared anyways.
He sighed, and his gaze fell to the ground, "I miss her already," he inhaled sharply.
"Hello," he heard a voice beside him.
He whipped his head to the side, and arched his brow. It was one of his roommates.
Archi sighed, and looked forward, "Yes? Go straight to the point."
"Oh, I just came to say hi. No crime in doing that huh?"
Archi shrugged, "I do not know.. I was just not expecting anyone."
"What you did earlier today, wowed everyone. No one has ever stood up to the head guard before."
He scoffed, "He was being too rude, I just could not stand it," he clenched his fists.
"You are the coolest wolf I have ever seen. I would really want to be your friend."
Archi shook his head, "I do not want friends here," he replied coldly.
His smile slowly disappeared, "But.. why? I mean no harm."
"Neither do I."
"Are you thinking we are all like the the head guard? If that is what you are thinking, then you are wrong. We are much more better than he is, trust me."
Archi turned to look at him, and twisted his lips, "Sure?" He asked still skeptical about him.
"I mean everything I am saying right now."
Archi sighed deeply, and looked away. He was already missing Thane.
"Thank you, I understand, and appreciate your kindness."
"My name is Alderon. What is yours?"
"Archi," he replied simply.
"That is one cool name," he laughed softly.
He got no response.
"You are being so cold. Why are you being this cold? I mean you can open up to me, I am not a bad person at all."
"I know, I did not term you as one."
"Then why are you being so.."
"Hey, I am trying to focus on my thoughts, and all you are doing is distracting me. Please stop with all of your impossible questions!" He blurted out angrily.
Alderon bit his lips, and stopped talking, hurt by Archi’s words. He picked himself up, and began walking back to the building, pained.
Archi looked back to see him walking back, and sighed, maybe he was a little too harsh. He didn’t mean any harm.
He palmed his face, and sighed, "Alderon," he called, clenching his fists.
Alderon stopped in his tracks, and looked back at him, "Yes?"
"Wait."
He got to his feet, and walked up to him, "Wait, I am sorry, I did not mean to yell at you like that. My head is jammed at the moment, I am sorry."
"No, it is fine. I should probably not be bothering you this evening."
Archi twisted his lips, "I am sorry, just do not take it to heart. That lash out was not for you," he shrugged.
Alderon nodded, and headed towards the building, "You are still heading in?"
"Yes, I want to leave you to yourself," he replied.
"Ugh," He rolled his eyes, "Have you been listening to what I have been saying this past few seconds?"
"I have.. I just think it is best to leave you alone. After all, let me go and prepare for my night shift, talk to you later," he shrugged, and walked in.
Archi squinted his eyes, "Night shift, hmm," a grin played at the corner of his lips, and he ran after Alderon, "Alderon, wait!"
"What is the matter?"
"I was wondering, would you let me work with me for the night shift?"
"Why? You should go meet Zane, he is the one who has been drafting out names for the week. You could indicate interest in night shift today."
"Who is za.." his head raced back to the man who was with Lincoln earlier, "Oh right, I do not think that is necessary," he shook his head.
"Then you are no longer interested?"
Archi looked at him amused, "Oh I still am, and I will guard at night shift today, do not bother yourself," they got to their room where their other roommate was seated, reading a small book.
Alderon closed the door behind him.
"Axel, this is Archi," Alderon introduced him, "Archi, this is Axel."
Archi went over to meet him, and shook his hand, "It is nice to meet you Axel," Archi smirked, and squeezed his hand.
"Hey!" Axel groaned.
Archi chuckled, and pulled his hand back.
"Nice having you as a roommate here Archi. We do hope you do not cause any trouble for us," Axel sighed.
Archi rolled his eyes, and sat on the bed, "Fortunately, you are in luck. You are not included in my list," he shrugged, and slumped on the bed.
"Ugh!"
Alderon, and Axel exchanged puzzled looks. How could somebody just be a very mysterious creature?
"Uh.. are.. you planning on causing trouble?"
’I intend on finishing it,’ he thought to himself, and grinned.
"Archi?" Axel called again, and he looked up, "Yes?"
"Why did you say Axel is not included in your list? What did you come here for really?" Alderon squinted his eyes.
"I came for one single thing, and I will make sure to finish it. Unfortunately, I can not quite disclose it to you..."
Axel squinted his eyes suspiciously, "You feel different. It feels as if you came here for something really dangerous."
Archi groaned, and sat up again, "Feel different? What is that supposed to mean?"
"Are you an Omega? You feel so much more than one. I mean omegas are the only ones around here, and our head guard is the strongest of us, but you were able to beat him.." Axel tried stressing his point. Something about Archi to him was off, but he just couldn’t place his finger on it.
Archi looked at him in the eye, and he could feel his soul melting. Those grey eyes.. why.. why did they carry so much power with it?
"I am am Omega just like you Axel, I see no reason why you should be scared of anything," he replied cooly sending shivers down Alderon and Axel’s spine, "I came here only because I was looking for a job to at least support myself, why are you stressing over an issue as light as this?"
"Oh," Alderon scratched his neck nervously, "I am sorry, but the thing is, your aura is just so hard to ignore. My soul can feel the power emanating from you," he went to sit besides Archi.
Archi threw his head backwards, and laughed heartily, "Why thank you very much!"
The door to their room burst open startling them. Zephyr, Zane, and some other guards stepped into the room.
"Which one of them is the guard that fought with Lincoln?"
Zane quickly recognized Archi, and pointed him out, "There he is."
Zephyr looked in his direction, and nodded, "Come with us this instant."
Archi raised his brows, "What? Why?"
"No questions! Now bind him!" Zephyr ordered.
The guards behind them rushed to get Archi, in an attempt to seize him,but Archi had braced himself, and warded them off.
"Let me go!"
"You have the guts to beat up the head guard, and now you are proving to be stubborn?" Zephyr lashed at him.
Archi looked away, "I will go there unbounded. I do not want to be touched."
Alderon and Axel’s jaws dropped in surprise.
Archi gently shook some dust off his shirt, and sauntered to the door un
worried.
Zephyr stared on in shock. Who really was he?
