The Alpha King And His Omega -
Chapter 26 - 026
Chapter 26: 026
Alpha Mitch didn’t notice anything amiss as he parked his car until his eyes rested on an unexpected face.
"Marcus" he called wearily expecting the usual respect but Marcus stood with his back straight and a smirk on his face.
"You look weak Alpha" Marcus said with a hint of mockery as he said the last word.
The mocking tone didn’t pass Alpha Mitch by but he continued inside the mansion.
His mind was restless and his wolf was howling at the back of his mind. He was on the verge of losing the last strand of sanity he has within him.
With all that going on in his mind, he just wanted to keep drinking for the rest of the time till he could find the Omega.
"It seems you do not care about the pack" Marcus said suddenly from behind him as he trailed after him into the mansion.
That made Alpha Mitch stop on his track and turn slowly towards him. Marcus is one of his most trusted and strongest of his warriors.
"You are now weak and probably feral, that’s not good for the pack. Before the pack members lose their lives under the tenets of your incompetent the pack elders sent me and other warriors to request you surrender." Marcus informed, in a confident voice but his confidence faltered as the Alpha’s stared blankly back at him.
"The pack elders..." Alpha Mitch trailed off but continued towards his study pretending not to hear the rest of what he had said.
He wished he didn’t have to deal with that right now but when he got to his study, the men he recognised as his men were inside waiting for him.
Alpha Mitch leisurely unbuttoned his shirt all the way down and pulled the dirty and soiled cloth off his body.
The room was in a tense and stretched silence as no one had the courage to say a word as the Alpha appeared to be not as they expected.
"Will you surrender your position and title as the Alpha King? Then we can continue with our duty" Marcus spoke up again.
Alpha Mitch went on to ignore him as he chugged a half empty bottle of liquor he had left in his study before he left.
They waited for him to say a word but an unexpected shatter caused them to jump visibly.
The bottle he just drank off was laying in a pile of bits as it narrowly missed the person the Alpha had thrown it at.
"You are the best among my men, what are you saying?
I should leave this position.
For who? You?" Alpha Mitch asked, pointing at Mitch and he froze.
He wasn’t expecting the Alpha to outrightly call him out.
"Your beta is also about to be driven out of the pack house. Your reign is over Mitch." Marcus said smugly and suddenly at him with his class blared and ready to attack.
Alpha Mitch simply moved to the side to avoid his attack but the rest of the men had spread around him forming a circle while he was distracted leaving him in the middle.
Alpha Mitch counted the ten of them and chuckled darkly.
"You think it would take ten of you to defeat me?
He asked with a smile and Marcus shifted nervously on his feet. Things were slowly getting out of hand but with the men surrounding the Alpha his confidence returned. He might be an Alpha King but he isn’t invisible or untouchable.
Even if he doesn’t become the next Alpha he would have an authority and power in the pack unlike now that he was nothing but a warrior.
Seeing how close he was to achieving his aim, Marcus charged at the Alpha again but he was caught by the neck effortlessly by the Alpha.
Alpha Mitch threw him across the room and he hit the door with an audible crunch before he hit the ground. The men froze at the scene but one of them quickly came back to his senses.
He also attacked the Alpha with a knife he had hidden.
Alpha Mitch swung at the hand causing the knife to fall to the ground. Facing them one after the other, he defeated them within minutes and only Marcus was able to lift himself off the ground after struggling for a while.
"Please forgive us Alpha" he went on his knees pleading but Alpha Mitch didn’t even spare him a glance as he walked out of the study with sweat glistening off his back.
He headed toward Tristan’s room and was immediately engulfed in his scent the moment he walked into the room.
Even if it’s been days the scent of the Omega still hung on air especially in the bed covers and pillows.
He crawled onto the bed and inhaled deeply as he finally decided to rest for the first time in days.
His mind trailed off to the last moment he spent with the Omega and his heart began to hurt all over again.

Meanwhile Tristan slept off after drinking the tea, he didn’t even wait to listen to the story she had invited him for.
His soft snores made Agatha smile softly.
"How long has he been mated to the Alpha" she asked the maid while her eyes remain fixed on him".
The maid didn’t give a response, causing her to glance at her.
"Just a few weeks ago" she replied after a little pause.
"I thought it’s been longer than that, why then is the Alpha restless and searching for him so much?" She asked as she continued to drink her tea.
Her question made the maid frown.
"How do you know?"
"Ah" she said with a chuckle.
"I know a lot of things and I also know that this won’t be the last time they would be separated or would hurt each other" She said with finality not giving the maid an option to ask another question even if she wanted to.
