The Alpha King And His Omega -
Chapter 24 - 024
Chapter 24: 024
Agatha was one of the last few guardians left on earth, she is as old as time and some believed she was only a myth.
Guardians are the ones that watch over packs and maintain the peace of the universe.
Over time many of them died leaving just few behind but only few people knew she was alive and more than a myth.
Many have met with her but have no idea who she was.
After what happened to the Alpha, Gale reached out to her to seek help without Alpha Mitch’s knowledge.
His intention was to help promote peace and balance to the pack and that’s why she agreed to help him.
Finding her words unconvincing, Tristan’s eyes moved around swiftly and he inched closer to his maid.
"No one is going to hurt you" She chuckled lightly as she watched the frightened look on his face.
Her smile spread across her face as she watched him ready to jump out of his skin.
She had agreed to something she would never have agreed to in the past.
"Let’s go inside" She said again and the Omega face went ashen and she could only silently wish he would remain calm.
She has no interest in keeping an Alpha’s mate with her anyways.
Tristan found it hard to trust her words and stood as far away from her as possible.
But reluctantly followed as she headed inside the cabin.
"I won’t leave your side, we don’t know what’s going on yet" His maid whispered, as she was also as nervous as he was.
Sweat dripped down her back as her suspicion grew.
This was supposed to be the preparation for the mating ceremony but they are now in an unknown location.
Does anyone even know they are gone?.
She was supposed to protect the Omega from danger while caring for him, how could she have led him to danger?
Tristan sat down carefully on an old rocking chair with his eyes observing the old and strangely looking decorations of the room. A huge white glove sat on a table by one corner.
Someone emerged from a door with a tray that contained two glasses of something that smelled good.
"Is that the tea?"
He thought in curiosity.
"Yes, it’s tea." She replied out loud, causing Tristan to freeze without any word.
He looked at his maid slowly, and could not understand how she could do that. He had asked the question inwardly and she replied.
That made him more unsettled as fear creeped his spine.
"Don’t let that startle you, I can’t do much more than that here.
Your mate worries about you too much, won’t you like to change that?
You shouldn’t be a problem to him"
"My mate?" Tristan asked, pointing to himself.
"Yes, the stubborn Alpha. It’s surprising he maintained that temper into adulthood" She trailed off while staring blankly ahead.
"Don’t drink it" Tristan’s maid interrupted as he picked up the cup.
Agatha looked at the maid slowly but she glared back at her even if she was jittery inside.
"We need to go back now, or the Alpha would kill me" She said in a shaky voice as she looked at Agatha and the man standing beside her.
Agatha smiled softly and gently patted her white-snowy hair that was styled in an updo.
She looked just like a regular elderly woman but it was obvious she was more than that.
"But the Alpha can’t kill you if you are here" She replied and had another sip out of her cup.
"Are you saying you won’t let us go?!" The maid’s voice went high as fear gripped her.
"I didn’t say so.
So let’s return to our discussion, I said I wanted to tell you a story" Agatha turned away from the maid and returned her attention to Tristan. He slowly nodded, he could sense something was wrong but he couldn’t think of what to do.
Despite this, only one person was on his mind even as the old woman gestured for him to take a sip out of the tea.
"Alpha Mitch would be so mad at me"
Tristan thought worriedly.

Meanwhile at the pack house, Gale had stayed awake through the night trying to sort everything. All the guests had left and every pack member had returned to their places for the night.
He stood in the Alpha’s office and was watching the sky gradually change through the night with a bottle of alcohol as a companion.
"Was I too irrational?" He said softly under his breath.
He hadn’t expected the Alpha to go off hinges after taking the Omega away from him. He believed it’s for the best and his belief hasn’t changed even if things had gone out of proportion.
"The Alpha would return to his senses soon" he thought as he emptied his glass while the sun was gradually appearing on Sky to announce the beginning of a new day.
His phone rang suddenly and he rushed towards the device. He had been waiting for the call since yesterday after the Omega left as he had planned.
He had sent him away to a realm beyond this one even if he barely believed it existed.
He was told one hour over there is a whole day in the present time, even if he doesn’t believe it he wanted to test it out.
The Omega would stay there for a day or more until the Alpha gradually forgets him and he would return to himself.
"Hello" he said into the phone and waited.
"Where is the fucking car key!" The person on the other side yelled suddenly causing him to almost drop the phone.
He looked back at the screen hastily and saw the Alpha’s number displayed on the screen.
He cussed softly under his breath before he responded.
"Where are you Alpha?" Gale asked in a hurry.
"I can’t find the car keys, I had it earlier" An incorrigible response came and he frowned as he struggled to understand.
"Has he been drinking?"
He thought with a sigh but the call ended and he stood there staring at the screen of his phone while he contemplated on staying at the pack house or leaving to find the Alpha.
But he ended up doing the former as he remembered the risk in leaving the pack house unattended.
It’s the power house and he needed to protect it especially in the absence of the Alpha.
