Chapter 876: DON’T LEAVE ME

Chapter 876: DON’T LEAVE ME

Lou disliked Cane the most when he managed to one up him and this was a shitty feeling, but the alpha actually didn’t care much about what he felt.

Currently, Cane was reading the letter and Lou tried to peek through the curtain to see Iris. "Is she sleeping? How long she has been sleeping? Can’t you wake her up for a while? It has been so long since the last time I met her."

Lou didn’t have any idea that Iris was currently sick, neither he knew about her pregnancy. The only thing that he learned was Cane and Iris were having a fight, but was not aware of the detail.

"Did she forgive you? How she can forgive you very easily?" Lou frowned. "She should be angry with you more. At least, kicking you around will be nice."

Cane put down the letter and glared at the merchant.

"What?" Lou glared back at him. "I only missed her. Is that bad?"

"Go back to Chrystal Moon pack with Ethan and Redmond and let them prepared the warrior from the Blue Moon pack to march here in ten days, arrange the merchant to be ready to sail to Winter Moon pack in a month from now." Cane already had plan in mind. After all, this person named Rei was on his way here. He was a wretch if he let him came closer near Iris. These fucking elders...

"Are you ordering me around?" Lou stood up, he looked unhappy. He just arrived and now he was being hurled back to Chrystal Moon pack, not to mention he had to bring those two with him.

"Rei is coming here. Should I remind you what he can do? Unless you can face him and his speed, you can stay."

The lizard was effective to send letter, but having Lou around was way more efficient, since they could travel in long distance only within a second. Right now, this merchant’s importance was on the same level like the lizard.

Lou would definitely throw a tantrum if he learned about this.

"I have not yet even met with Iris!" Lou became bolder now with his intention.

"Why do you want to see my mate?" Cane crossed his arms.

"Well, we are all close friends now, aren’t we? I don’t even know why I am doing these things for you. Don’t give me a bullshit about expanding my business to Andelus Continent, because at this point, I might lose my head first before I can do that." Lou should have listened to Sabian and stay away from this alpha.

"Go now." That was the only reply Cane gave to Lou after his long rambling.

Lou pursed his lips. Why he should go when he just returned? "So, you know how to break the protection shield around the Winter Moon pack? You asked the merchant to be ready to ship there after all."

"I know."

"You do?!" Lou widened his eyes. Even he himself as a magic user couldn’t figure out, how could a lycan, no, a shifter like him knew that?! "How!? Tell me how?!"

Lou reached this point because he was curious with Iris, but right now when his curiosity was invested on this alpha. He really wanted to know how his mind worked.

"Quiet, she is sleeping."

Lou grunted, complaining like an old lady, but Cane didn’t budge. "I thought we are friend?!"

"That’s only in your mind."

Lou was speechless, he couldn’t believe Cane said something so mean like this.

"What are you waiting for? Do you want to greet Rei when he reached this place?" Cane crossed his arms.

In the end, Lou stomped out of the tent, leaving traces of curses behind him. He rushed back because he wanted to see Iris, but not only he couldn’t see her, but he also got new assignment.

"Where is that red hair man and that annoying gamma?!" Lou shouted. He would drag them through the portal.

Once Lou had left, the tent became quiet again and Cane went inside. Behind the curtain, his woman was resting peacefully, it seemed the ruckus that Lou caused didn’t bother her at all.

Cane really wanted her to rest like this and didn’t need to be worried about anything, but then, he missed her.

He laid down next to her and started to caress her cheek, feeling her fever had gone down, which was great. Because of the fever she had been delirious for the past two days and he couldn’t help, but blamed himself for her condition.

"Please, be well. Don’t get sick." Cane had prayed the same thing before, but he did it again. He pulled Iris closer to him, careful enough not to press her stomach.

Another twins.

The next day, Cane was woken up when Iris moved her body, it seemed she was trying to get off the bed, but was trapped between Cane’s arms.

"Where are you going?" Cane immediately sat down and was completely awake.

"I want to vomit..." Iris replied, her little face contorted because she was trying to hold it back. "Move please..." Her voice was still slightly hoarse and her face was pale.

Cane immediately got off the bed and took a basin for her, but Iris pushed it away.

"I want to go out..." She didn’t want to vomit there.

Cane didn’t reject, he immediately carried her out of the tent and took her behind a large tree, so she could do it more freely.

"Don’t look..." Iris said weakly, but Cane was there, holding her hair.

"I have seen this before." Cane reminded her that it was not the first time they were in this situation. More so, there was nothing that came out, but water, since she had not yet had solid food for days.

Once Iris was done, Cane took her back to the tent, but not their tent, instead he took her to see Grace.

"Luna!" Grace was surprised to see her, while Cane laid her down on the bed. The alpha was very quiet, but he took care of his mate attentively.

"She just vomited," Cane informed Grace, as he wiped Iris’s lips with wet towel and let her drank warm water.

"Let me check you." Grace immediately went to Iris and check on her.

Meanwhile, Iris was still confused with this situation, her mind not yet worked properly, but she remembered that she and Cane had a fight and he ignored her for days. The fact he was here made her anxious.

Iris kept her eyes on Cane’s movement and when he was about to move away to put the wet towel and get her more drink, Iris grabbed his hand as tight as her weak hand could.

"Don’t leave..." Iris said weakly. She was very afraid Cane would leave her. She was afraid, he would abandon her.

"I am here." Cane put away the wet towel and knelt down beside the makeshift bed, holding her hand, while Grace examined her.

"I will concoct a medicine for her." Grace immediately stood up.

"Use this," Cane said, handed two water magic stones to Grace, at time like this, water magic stone was extremely difficult to get.
