Kellan told them about what alpha Colter had done in Diandem pack and the horror what happened there during the time he used the pack as his base for weeks.

The prince explained the situation in such way, which made the elders agreed to enter the fortress, though this was not what they agreed upon in the discussion they had before the meeting with Kellan.

The elders worked on their own and only accepted the voice from among them. Cane could see, they were still holding grudge against the fact he was a lycan and looked down on him so much, aside from the fact he was a shifter.

"You can protect yourself. Our people will come and take down this place in no time," Elder Xarex said, justifying his action, though Cane didn’t say anything, nor he complained about the situation.

Cane scoffed and folded his arms in front of his chest, watching in amusement of what these elders were doing without any shame at all.

"It seems, you have been betrayed," Kellan marked, he knew what the fire signal meant and he had his men ready, sealed the gates. Actually, he knew Cane didn’t care much about alpha Colter, thus he was rather surprised to know he agreed to meet with him.

As it turned out, the elders from the Holy Kingdom had known about the fact Cane was the lycan.

"It’s pretty disappointing, since I want to be the one to tell them about you as the lycan." Kellan tilted his head, behind him was a dozen of magic users and countless warriors in their beasts form, ready to take Cane down in his signal. "I can’t believe it, you fool me about it. I even believed that."

"It’s not that hard to fool you, you are not so smart to begin with," Cane said calmly, which made a flicker of hatred crossed Kellan’s eyes, but then he smiled beautifully like usual. His smile was always calm and sweet.

Meanwhile, alpha Derick and Cezi only now learned about this truth. To say they were shocked that Cane was the lycan was an understatement.

And now all the horror stories about the lycan that Cane created himself had backfired at him. Not to mention about the fact that a story about a lycan was not a lovely one.

Cane glanced at the elders, sure enough these imbeciles revealed that on purpose.

Despite on the surface they were working together, but in this world, where you could find someone stabbed someone more often than not, it was not surprising what Elder Xarex was trying to do.

This was a plot against a plot. At this point, you wouldn’t be sure, who you could trust. Cane was in danger, either it came from the elders, alpha Derick and Cezi, or Kellan and his men.

Cane scoffed. "They are right about me can protect myself." The alpha looked relax, as if he simply there to watch the show, when he was the main event.

"Against the magic users and warriors?" Kellan scoffed disdainfully.

Alpha Derick and Cezi felt uneasy now. The alpha could see prince Kellan for who he was, this man was not the young prince that he adored, he looked like someone else, but he couldn’t think in more depth when they were faced with this situation.

Cezi was surprised to see this side of Kellan, though not much, but now to side with the lycan... that was not an option too.

"Have you forgotten a lycan took down a thousand warriors of Blue Moon pack less than two years ago. I don’t mind to let it runs rampant one more time."

"Alpha Cane!" Elder Xarex disapproved that, even though he didn’t over any solution at all.

And with that, the situation reached stalemate. Kellan needed to tread carefully if he wanted to take Cane down. The lycan was not a creature that you could take easily.

While a fierce battle happened outside of the fortress, as they could hear roars and growls split the air, suddenly it ceased down and one of the warriors reported what happened.

"The luna is marching alone and taking down our warriors, she is riding a white bear!" the warrior looked panic.

Hearing that, there was this amusement and doting in Cane’s eyes to know what Iris was doing out there. It seemed, she lost her temper after waiting for long and decided to take some action, despite her fear.

His mate impressed him over and over again.

However, the second warrior came and immediately knelt down to make a report hastily. "My prince, they are here! The king is here!"

Cane was alerted with the mention of the king. If it was Alan, it meant, Decratic was here. The four elders were aware of it as well, as they looked even more cautious of their surroundings.

Elder Rose strengthened the protection. This would be the first time for them to face Decratic. She wondered, if she could take down Decratic. She was a Serafim after all.

The first person that they saw was Zeke and Dexter, the two of them walked, as if they brought calamities in their every step.

Warriors knelt down before them and Kellan lowered their head in respect, so did alpha Derick and Cezi, they did it unwillingly.

And behind Zeke and Dexter was... Alan.

It was indeed Alan. He was a wretch. He looked like he just came out of a battle itself. Even though he dressed nicely, which matched his title as the king, but not everyone could be fooled.

This was not Decratic, but the real Alan.

However, Alan walked very slow, he was holding a bundle in his arms, but you wouldn’t be able to see anything, because it was wrapped tightly with a blanket. People wondered what it might be.

The ominous feeling crept in, all of them could feel this gloomy mood that crippled the air and the night seemed darker than usual.

The magic users all knelt down solemnly in the presence of the king, or maybe the thing inside the bundle in the king’s arms.

This was an unexpected turn of event, even the elders and Kellan didn’t predict the arrival of them.

Dexter immediately locked his eyes on Cane. He remembered what this alpha had done to his woman and how the luna had destroyed Aria to the point of beyond saving her anymore.

"You will pay for this!" Dexter roared and the sky rumbled.

The protection around the fortress strengthened, it engulfed with dark magic and wouldn’t be able to be taken down easily.

And now, Dexter’s focus was on Cane, but Zeke reminded him of Decratic’s order.

"Don’t kill him just yet. We need to extract the lycan out of him."
