The Alpha: Claiming His Enemy's Daughter
Chapter 655: HAND OVER THE LUNA!

Chapter 655: HAND OVER THE LUNA!

Sofia saw the commotion outside and knew it was the cue for her to leave. Someone had told her something like this would happen and she needed to prepare herself and the baby.

Rye. Redmond was adamant with that name before he left and Sofia actually loved the name too, but she fussed over it a little bit, didn’t want to admit that.

And now the baby was staring at her with curiosity in his eyes, which took after Redmond. Maybe it was only her petty side, but she was a little bit annoyed because the baby took after Redmond so much, as if to declare and shred the last bit of hope for him to be another man’s baby.

’I carried you for nine months, but you come out look exactly like your father.’

That was the best Sofia could complain about her baby, but everything else was perfect. He was a bundle of joy for her.

Unless he was hungry and needed to be cleaned, he wouldn’t be fussy.

Sofia knew Redmond went out for a mission from alpha Cane, a mission related to alpha Gallot and the fraud he did against alpha Cane about the baby, but not only that, the situation in this pack couldn’t be said as safe. She didn’t know the detail, but she knew the upcoming battle against the royal and it happened now.

Someone knocked on the door in the middle of her preparation.

"W- who is that?" Sofia immediately took Rye from his crib and held him tightly, her instinct sharpened, as she tried to sniff the air, just in case this was not someone from Cane’s pack.

"This is me, Joel." Joel knocked on the door again and Sofia recognized his voice and scent. She was too preoccupied earlier and didn’t realize him sooner. "Open the door, we need to leave now."

Sofia immediately opened the door and saw the young warrior, he looked taller than the last time he came here to warn her about what might happen.

Joel was not alone, he came with another young warrior from Riverside pack. They looked like the same age, but Joel was taller than him.

"Are you ready? Don’t bring unnecessary thing," Joel said. He disliked Sofia for what she had put Iris through, but then he was commanded to escort her to the safety, more so, he respected Redmond enough to not show any hatred and hostility toward this woman and the innocent baby.

Joel learned that it was Redmond himself, who had killed Lyle, his second in command during the battle in the Howling Wolf pack and how he stood up and fought against his own pack member, his own warriors, who turned against him.

"I need to bring that bag." Sofia pointed a bag that laid on the floor, which she was just done prepared before Joel knocked on the door.

"Finn, take that bag and let’s go." Joel shifted into his beast form and led the way, while the other young warrior stayed in his human form.

"Do you want me to carry the baby, so you can move faster?" Finn asked Sofia politely.

"No, it’s fine. I will carry him." Sofia thanked him for his nice gesture, but she would be more at ease if she held Rye close to her.

Finn nodded and they continued moving toward the safety.

Aside from the Luna’s warriors, Cane had created smaller groups of warriors to escort some people if things escalated this far.

Two people would escort Sofia to the safety, because Cane had promised Redmond about his woman and his child’s safety. Even though Joel and Finn were young, but the two of them were the best warriors in their age and often times, their enemy would lower their guards down, thinking about an inexperience young shifter like him.

Meanwhile, Arthur, Mal and another three warriors would escort Haco, Celia, Zale and the other four orphan children.

"Where is that young boy?" Arthur asked. He counted the children, but he missed one more.

"Zale went to see luna Iris. He must be with them," Joyce replied. She saw him brought a bucket of flower, something that he used to do.

"Okay, let’s go," Arthur said. If Zale was with the luna then he must be fine, because the luna was protected by the best warriors.

One of the warriors helped Haco to stand up, but the old sorcerer couldn’t even walk.

"He is very sick. You need to carry him," Celia informed the warrior sadly. She was very sad to see Haco like this. It almost felt like he died before her eyes, but the process was very slow and painful.

The warrior bent his body and and carried Haco on his back. This old sorcerer was very skinny now, he weighed nothing.

"Come, I will carry the baby," Arthur stretched out his hand to ask the baby from Joyce’s arms and the little girl handed him over. "We need to move now."

Mal and the other two warriors shifted into their beasts and led the way, as the children followed them and Arthur and one more warrior brought the rear.

Meanwhile, there was the last small group that Cane had created to help Lou escaped if things went south, since the merchant was not in good shape. It would be a lost for Cane if Lou died, when he was still useful.

Clad and Leros looked for Lou, but they couldn’t find him in his bedroom, but they found a strange pool of black blood on the floor.

"What is this?" Clad frowned, as he touched the blood. It smelled like one, but it didn’t look like it. It was thicker than normal blood...

Miles away from the chaos in Diandem pack, a certain red hair was going to bore to death when he had been locked inside this nice bedroom for days. He felt like he was going to go insane, if he had to wake up to this boring gloomy sky, which made it so hard for him to track down time, whether it was day or night.

Finally, on nth day, a warrior came to his boring room and informed him that someone would come to visit him.

Not long after, lady Cyan graced him with her presence. She looked beautiful as ever, though she was no longer young, but one could tell she carried herself extremely well, which made her existence demanded all the attention from the people inside the room.

"Lady Cyan," Redmond said, he knelt down.

"Raise. I heard you want to see me." Lady Cyan stood in front of Redmond, her expression was devoid from any emotions.

"I want to know if your over months ago is still valid?" Redmond stood up and looked at lady Cyan right in her eyes, where she could see his determination.

"You changed your mind?" lady Cyan asked, there was this small smile on the corner of her lips, as if she mocked him.

"Yes. I changed my mind."

"Do you think I will believe you easily?" Lady Cyan walked toward the window and opened the curtain, which showed the gloomy sky. They had not yet gotten any sense of light for weeks now.

"What make you believe my words?" Redmond turned his body and stared at lady Cyan’s back. She was wearing white dress, as if she was someone pure and innocent.

"What can you do to make me believe your words?" Lady Cyan threw the same question.

"I will tell you a secret about Cane." Redmond didn’t even address Cane by his title, something he used to do in the beginning, but he did it lately.

"Secret? What secret?" Lady Cyan turned around and showed some interest. She didn’t travel this far to meet with Redmond if she couldn’t get anything worth it.

Unfortunately, unlike her brother, she couldn’t create a portal and appeared in a place miles away, yet she still had an ability that Dexter didn’t have.

"The lycan." Redmond squared his shoulders, knowing what he was going to tell lady Cyan. "The lycan is Cane. He has been deceiving all of you. He is the lycan all along. The cursed creature, which had caused an uproar and killed prince Vemion."

Lady Cyan raised her brows. She didn’t look surprised, because in fact, she didn’t. She had already known about Cane was being the lycan. "Only that?"

Redmond narrowed his eyes. "You don’t look surprise."

Lady Cyan shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly. "The lycan has been lowkey and that creature is not very interesting anymore. The Serafim is here, I am sure Cane will not be stupid enough to reveal it when the people from the Holy Kingdom is here. That matter can wait." Lady Cyan approached Redmond. "And then what else you can offer?" She tilted her head. "You were very cocky when you rejected my offer in the past, but now you want to take it? What has changed?"

"Revenge." Redmond stared right into Cyan’s eyes. "I will tell you the plan that Cane has created with Red Claw pack. You can take them down with this information. This is very crucial."

Lady Cyan lifted her brows and smirked. "Let’s hear what you are going to say."

=============================

Zephyr, Eron and Dyne growled, as they sensed the intruders, they picked their scent first because they were in their beast form, while the rest sensed this intruder later on.

"Stay behind me, luna," Aliana said, she stood in front of Iris, while Reed, Kian and Asher circled her, they put Iris and Zale in the middle because Iris felt the need to keep this young boy close to her, her instinct told her to protect him, since he was only a child in her eyes.

Iris ignored his attempt to take the role of protector like the other grown up warrior. She didn’t want something bad happened to him.

"What are you doing here, Argean?" Aliana asked. Argean was the gamma of the previous alpha of Diandem pack. "You should be out there, aiding our alpha."

"He is not our alpha." Grory emerged from behind the tree, he stood next to the gamma. "You are very naïve to think I will be glad to serve someone, who had killed my alpha as the new leader of the pack."

"Your alpha is very stupid to think so," Argean chimed in.

None of them looked surprised with this, since they watched closely the way Cane didn’t trust them both, thus they followed their alpha and now it was proven right.

Iris narrowed her eyes when she heard that. She was unhappy with the way they talked about Cane, but only then they realized, it was not only the two of them, but there were more warriors, who rebelled against Cane.

At the very least, there were fifteen warriors, who shared the same thought like the beta and the gamma. They crept closer toward Iris’s little group, in their beast form.

"Do you really think you can use our secret escape route for yourself without us knowing it?" Argean asked in cocky tone. "This is our pack. We know better about this place than you do."

That was right, they were born and grew up in this place, they knew every nook and cranny of this pack.

"Great if you knew this place better, like you should. Now, move out," Aliana said in boring tone.

"We will let you leave if you handed the luna over!" Argean spoke loudly, while the beasts that surrounded them growled threateningly.

"You can move away now, or we will kill all of you!" Zale snapped back at Argean, which made the gamma’s face turned ashen.

"Good job, kid." Reed rubbed Zale’s head, but the young boy swatted his hand away, because he didn’t like to be treated like a little child.

At the same time, Iris was very calm. She could see their wolf spirits and felt them. These spirits were so fragile.
