The Alpha: Claiming His Enemy's Daughter -
Chapter 635: LOU COULDN’T STOP LAUGHING
Chapter 635: LOU COULDN’T STOP LAUGHING
Lou was seething because he couldn’t win this silly argumentation. He hated this alpha with all of his heart and he swore after everything had done and he got what he wanted, he would make even with him someday.
Right at that time, Ethan entered the tent and the look on his face told them it wouldn’t be something good and they were right about it.
"Sir Dageus from the royal warrior wanted to see you," Ethan said. He was not happy with the proposal. "He demanded for you to meet him in the middle."
"What he wanted? If he wanted a battle, just go ahead," Lou grumbled, this time, he used his magic to dry himself, he couldn’t care less when he did it in front of Ethan, the gamma must have learned about it too if the alpha knew.
Lou was right, aside from raising his brows, Ethan didn’t show any indication he was concern, neither surprised to see it.
"What else he demanded?"
Ethan then nodded at Lou. "He wanted to see you and the merchant."
"What? Me?" Lou frowned. "I am not going. Do you think I will risk my life to go out there and be killed easily by them."
"How can you be killed easily by them? You are a magic user," Ethan retorted.
Lou then showed two water magic stones from his pocket. "These stones are not enough to kick their ass, okay?" Lou added. "More so, I am not going to reveal my identity in front of them. Don’t give me a complicated life and keep your mouth shut about me being a magic user."
Ethan smirked. "Before, I don’t care about it, but right now I feel tempted to announce your little secret after your warning."
Cane had enough, the two of them probably would keep talking until the end of time if he didn’t interfere.
"Lou, come with me," Cane said in commanding tone, which irked the merchant so much.
"Don’t you dare to give me an order."
Yet, Cane had left the tent. He didn’t even bother to wait for him, despite his earlier order.
"Can’t he talk with me first about what he is going to do and what kind of strategy he will do?!" Lou was exasperated. He hated the royal even more now and Cane was included. "Why he didn’t explain anything?!"
"Well..." Ethan shrugged his shoulders. "Welcome to the family," he said sarcastically.

"Luna Iris!" Zale was surprised to see Iris was there, so did Celia. The little girl was happy to see her, since she had been very scared with the black rain.
"Can you leave me alone with Haco, please?" Iris asked them gently, despite the urgency. She stretched out her hand and ruffled their hair. "There is something important I need to talk with him."
Celia and Zale walked out of the room and found Lil Thing, along with the other warriors and Aliana, while Iris stayed inside the room only with Haco.
"Haco." Iris approached Haco, who was sitting near the window, staring at the dark sky. Even though this was still early morning, but they lit up fire to illuminate this pack house, since it was so dark out there, as if this was an endless night. "Haco, can you talk to me?"
Haco tilted his head and then stared at Iris for a while, before he spoke in his hoarse voice. "Who are you?"
Iris felt this pain in her heart. She had introduced herself countless time to him and every time she did that, it was a reminder this old sorcerer’s time was drawing near.
"Haco..." Iris sighed, she took both of his hands. He was skinny and his bony fingers felt very callous and rough. "What should I do now?" She lowered her head and rested against their hands. She was clueless and helpless. "Even now when I am able to hear and the ability I have, I still feel useless and a burden for people around me."
The tension was too much, she wanted to know whether Eron could get in time to Cane or not. She was very anxious for her mate. This would be another betrayal that they had to face and it wouldn’t be the last. She felt like they couldn’t trust anyone at this point.
The dark sorcerer in the palace, Crescent Moon pack in the north, Moon Dew pack and Winter Moon pack in the east and also Golden Light pack.
The only pack that was on Cane’s side only the Red Claw pack and she was not sure, whether they already learned about alpha Nolan’s betrayal or not, whether their spy could figure that out, it was nerves wrecking to know about all of those things.
The report came so late. If the report came earlier, Cane must be able to take precaution.
And now, when the reinforcement from the Holy Kingdom would come, they needed to go to Winter Moon pack first, to dock their ships there. What would happen to them?
Would Cane win this war against the royal family? Against the dark magic in the palace? What about Decratic?
What if they lost? Would they slave them?
Iris didn’t think that was a question at all. It would either they were being a slave, or they were going to be killed.
What about her baby? Would they rip her baby from her stomach too like what they did to Leane?
Iris trembled with her own imagination. Her mind went wild. She went ahead too far when the battle had not yet started, but all of those things were possibility.
Iris wanted to stop her negative thoughts, but the more she tried, the more she couldn’t push it away on the back of her mind.
"Why are you crying?" Haco frowned, Iris held both of his hands and rested her head on top of it, thus all he could see was her auburn hair and her trembling body. "Don’t cry, everything will be alright."
Iris cried even harder when her wild imagination showed her an image of alpha Nolan clawed Cane’s heart out of his chest because her mate was not aware of his betrayal and he lowered his guard down, which was the caused of his demised.
"Don’t cry. Don’t cry."
Haco tried to coax her, yet it only reminded Iris of him and she became even more depressed. Her emotions were all over the places.
"Do you want me to tell you about the story of the mind controller?"

"Alpha Cane, Sir Lou," Dageus greeted the two of them politely. They were standing a few meters away, while their respective warriors were behind them, far away from the four of them.
Just like what they had requested, Cane came with Lou, while Dageus came with his second in command, Dreggo.
Dageus was just recently appointed as the new leader for the border guard warriors, the position that previously belonged to Sir Elijah, but unfortunately, he died along with the king.
"It has been a while," Dageus said.
"Cut the crap, why don’t you tell us what do you want right away?" Lou hated this heated tension between all the people presences here. "You had requested to meet with us, what do you want?"
Lou had dropped all the formalities. He didn’t like the royal family to begin with, thus his hostility could be sensed by them. He wanted this little meeting to be done quickly and be done with it, so they could go battle their way out of here.
Dreggo growled at how impolite the merchant was, but Dageus still looked collected. He was appointed as the leader for a reason.
Meanwhile, the alpha let Lou talked. With him there, he didn’t need to waste his breath to argue with these two warriors and figured out what they wanted.
"We are here not to have a battle with you, we came in peace."
"Yeah, and the villagers from five villages have rested in peace too now."
Dageus nodded politely. "We didn’t kill them all, we sent the people, who didn’t rebel against us to the capital city. Some of the villagers were really feisty and we didn’t have any other options, but to take them down."
Even a blind person could see how baseless that excuse. Those villagers were not warriors, there was no way ten thousand warriors could be intimidated by them. Needless to say, those who survived and was sent to the capital city must be women and children.
However, Lou only scoffed disdainfully. He didn’t want to waste his breath to these two warriors too.
"We are here because you have not yet fulfilled the summon from king Alan."
Lou almost laughed when he heard Alan’s new title, even when he was still the crown prince, he always felt the tittle was too extravagant for him and now he was the king? Ridiculous.
"We are here to escort the two of you back to the capital city. You have not yet vowed your loyalty to the king, alpha," Dageus said clearly without missing a beat. "Meanwhile, the merchant was summoned because his magical device was proven not working as you have promised. There were a lot of monster attack within the capital city recently and you need to take responsibility of that."
This time, it was Dreggo, who added. "Come with us peacefully, alpha Cane, Sir Lou, we don’t want to have a battle here with you."
Meanwhile, the black rain had stopped, but the gloomy clouds were still hanging in the sky.
"This is the order from the king and as his subject, you must oblige it," Dreggo spoke again haughtily. "We are here to deliver this message."
"By taking ten thousand warriors with you and razed five villages?" Lou mocked him openly. He didn’t think he would be on Alan’s good side in this lifetime. Therefore, it was too late to brown nose him, which left him with the only option that he didn’t like either.
Lou glanced at Cane, whose face was unreadable. He didn’t know what he was thinking, neither what he planned to answer that.
Dageus shifted his attention toward Lou. "Sir Lou. Our order is to deliver the message, but we are also ordered to take you back with us, whether you agreed or not. Your failure of protecting the capital city has caused so many people died and you need to take responsibility for that."
Lou’s face hardened upon hearing such bold declaration. "Did you mean, you are going to take me even by using violence."
"We hope we will not resolve to that point, but yes. We need to take you back with us, you must take responsibility for your error."
"And who will judge whether I made a mistake or not?" Lou glared at the two of them disdainfully.
"The wise king will judge it."
Lou couldn’t hold back his laughter when he heard that. That was the most hilarious thing that he had ever heard. The wise king would judge? Alan was a wise king? Could Lil Thing now be able to fly? Or the furball finally suit its given name?
Lou’s laughter could be heard even to the both side parties, as they frowned, curious why the merchant suddenly became crazy, since they couldn’t hear their conversation.
It took long time for Lou to recover his wits and for a rare occasion, Cane let him be, watched the whole thing with amusement in his dark eyes.
In all honesty, it was actually good enough to have this merchant on your side, only if he didn’t try to chase after his mate in every opportunity he got.
"Enough!" Dreggo snapped because he couldn’t take it the disrespect anymore. "You will come with us."
"He is not going anywhere," Cane said in his deep voice.
"Alpha Cane, if you are trying to intervene with this, we will assume you are trying to rebel against the royal. Have you heard what happened in the north?"
