Chapter 93: Chapter 93: Saving a Life

Phoenix Taylor was clearly an assertive person. After eating, she said to Peter Brown, "Tomorrow, you’ll accompany me to your village to announce my hiring. I’ll immediately help you restructure your company. There are a lot of problems with your company; it’s a mess."

Looking at this beautiful woman with her strong-willed attitude, Peter was somewhat stunned, thinking he hadn’t said anything about hiring her yet, so why was she already acting like a General Manager?

After thinking about it, Peter laughed and found this woman to have a strong sense of self-confidence.

Well, having someone capable of managing the company for him was, of course, a good thing.

Peter knew very well that even though his company had a structure in place, there was no management team - just a few village girls who could hardly compare to Phoenix Taylor.

As long as he kept control of the overall direction, he believed she wouldn’t cause any chaos.

Ever since becoming a cultivator, Peter’s confidence had been extremely strong, and he didn’t worry about anyone trying to scheme in front of him. In the face of absolute power, everything else was fake.

"Alright!"

After thinking it through, Peter agreed.

Glancing at Peter, Phoenix Taylor showed a smile and said, "You’re not bad as a young man, quite courageous!"

Peter was taken aback again.

Laughing, Phoenix Taylor left without paying, walking away and saying, "I need to prepare for the trip, you enjoy yourself."

Watching Phoenix Taylor leave with her swaying hips, Peter found her to be an interesting woman.

Having eaten breakfast, Peter strolled along the streets, looking at the well-dressed pedestrians and then at his own simple outfit, not having too many thoughts about it.

While walking, Briar Henderson called him.

"Peter, where are you? Let’s go look at cars."

"I’m walking around in the streets. Tell me the location, and I’ll be right there."

Briar told him the location and said, "I’m waiting for Mr. Roger first. Once he arrives, we’ll go together. You can head over first."

After agreeing, Peter flagged down a car and gave them the location.

The driver was an experienced one and asked Peter, "Don’t you know your way around the city?"

"Yeah, I’m not too familiar with it."

The driver laughed and said, "No wonder. Look ahead, turn there, and you’ll reach your destination. It’s just a hundred steps away. If you were someone else, they would have taken you the long way around and had you pay more money."

Peter looked ahead and laughed, "Indeed it’s very close. If it weren’t for you, I would really have wasted money."

"Alright, just go. I won’t cheat you out of your money." The driver gave Peter directions in a good mood.

Peter was touched, thinking this driver was a good person, and he looked at him.

Unexpectedly, when Peter looked at him, his eyes froze, and he saw a fierce and ominous aura surrounding the driver.

Seeing this situation, Peter knew that if he didn’t save him today, this man would certainly die a violent death.

With that in mind, Peter took out one of his lowest-quality jade talismans from his body and handed it to the driver, saying, "Master, thank you so much. This is a small toy, just for you to play with."

As he spoke, Peter had already gotten out of the car.

The driver stared blankly at the departing Peter, clutching the jade talisman in his hand, wondering how a man dressed like a farmer could give him such a valuable item.

When he thought about returning it, Peter had already walked far away.

The driver’s mood was great, humming a tune as he started the car.

Maybe it was because he was in a good mood, but after dropping off a passenger in the suburbs and driving back with no passengers, he encountered a red light just as he was starting to drive out.

The driver stepped on the brake and stopped.

However, what the driver couldn’t have imagined was that although the light had turned red, a large tank truck carrying mud inexplicably rushed towards his vehicle like crazy.

Bang!

After a thunderous noise, the driver’s car was hit by the tank truck and sent flying.

At this time, all the pedestrians were dumbfounded, never expecting that such an incident would happen at a traffic light.

It’s over, that taxi driver is done for today!

The people who saw it all sighed.

Looking at the tank truck, it had hit the driver’s taxi and continued on for some distance before flipping over several other cars and finally falling on the side of the road.

A major traffic accident!

Looking at the destroyed cars, and then at the estimated casualties inside, the pedestrians were in chaos, and the police were in a daze.

Everyone could see that the worst hit was the first taxi. It seemed unlikely that anyone inside had survived.

As the sound of police sirens rang through the air, everyone was astonished to see the driver of the first car crawling out of the severely damaged taxi.

"Are you okay?" A pedestrian who was helping with the rescue looked at the driver in amazement.

The driver was still completely confused, not knowing what had happened.

Shaking his head, the driver suddenly realized what was going on and stared in shock at the tank truck.

He didn’t die!

Realizing he was still alive after being hit by the truck, a cold sweat broke out on his forehead.

The scene was bleak. There were casualties in the other cars, but what baffled everyone was the most severely hit first car from which a driver had emerged alive.

This guy has great luck!

Everyone was amazed, and journalists began to interview.

After calming down, the driver reached into his pocket while talking with people.

As soon as his hand went in, he felt quite a few broken stones. Taking them out, he saw that they were completely shattered, some even ground to powder.

This wasn’t right!

After recalling his own situation, the driver realized that the pocket holding the jade given by Peter hadn’t been hit, so the jade shouldn’t have shattered.

Looking at the shattered jade now, the driver remembered that when the crash occurred, he seemed to have seen a flash of white light before his eyes.

Could it be...?

The more the driver thought about it, the more he felt that the jade given by Peter had saved his life.

Did he encounter a miraculous person?

The driver didn’t tell anyone about it, knowing that others wouldn’t believe him if he did, but from that moment on, he completely changed. He was always helping and doing good deeds, and later, his unremitting efforts earned him the title of City’s Good Samaritan.
