Chapter 1780 - 1778: Enemy Attack
Chapter 1780: Chapter 1778: Enemy Attack
Just after placing the Divine Stone Charm on himself, Peter Brown’s mind stirred and he looked outside the tent, then shouted in alarm, "Enemy attack!"
Not only Peter was yelling here, but the entire camp had also erupted in chaos as everyone was shouting.
At a glance, Peter too was shocked to see a troop of soldiers charging toward this direction on Beast Horses.
"Intercept!"
At that moment, a General had already rushed to the front and then a force of elite soldiers quickly appeared, blocking the way ahead.
Seeing this, Peter did not advance but retreated instead, wielding his broadsword to chop directly at the mountain rocks near the area, causing some rocks to collapse, and he managed to conceal himself there perfectly.
Faced with so many troops arriving, Peter certainly wasn’t about to rush up and become cannon fodder, especially since no one seemed to have noticed his presence yet.
The entire camp was in complete chaos as the enemy cavalry had already charged close.
Now Peter could see that the approaching enemy cavalry neared tens of thousands. Although they too were on warhorses, these were not the kind of warhorses Peter had seen before. Each of these horses possessed at least one star of star power, charging with a tremendous Aura.
The head was a General who appeared to be Four Stars, wielding a huge sword, each strike filled with Great Power.
Seeing the way he wielded his sword, Peter couldn’t help but marvel. It was such a Divine Realm, indestructible in every way. If it were the Lower Realm, just one of those strikes would have been enough to split a Star Planet.
Indeed, there is a vast difference between the Divine Realm and the Mortal Realm.
As Peter contemplated these things, the two forces had long been clashing fiercely.
Peter’s side, commanded by a Four Star General leading elite soldiers, mixed into the fierce battle. Although they were ambushed, it was clear Peter’s side was the regular army, and the enemy was merely a rebellious rabble. The battle was intense.
Heads rolled, remains scattered everywhere!
Now, Peter finally got a clear view of the situation on the battlefield of the Divine Realm.
Facing such a battlefield, Peter knew that if he rushed forward, it wouldn’t be long before he was killed.
Too powerful!
For these members of the Divine Race, Peter nevertheless had respect; each one fought fearlessly to the death, with very few fleeing the battle.
After a round of fierce fighting, the ground in front of Peter was quickly covered with corpses.
Human life really is worthless on such battlefields!
I must not go out!
This was Peter’s resolute decision. He entirely lacked a sense of belonging. Conscripted into the army, Peter only thought of fishing in troubled waters and didn’t consider anything else.
However, the unexpected still happened. A high-ranking Four Star man stabbed his opponent with a long spear; this opponent was someone from Peter’s side, also a Four Star expert. In a desperate fight, before dying, he managed to land a hammer blow on the head of his opponent.
Although not instantly fatal, the man was knocked flying toward Peter’s location by the blow.
This is bad!
Seeing this unfold, Peter was greatly startled. Even if seriously wounded, a Four Star person was not someone he could contend with.
But before Peter could think further, the man had already heavily crashed into Peter’s position.
Under the great force, Peter could no longer evade.
Peter had no choice but to swing his blade at the man.
Slurp!
This person, utterly unprepared and weakened from his injuries, was truly unable to defend himself and was indeed cut through by Peter’s blade, severing his right hand.
Ah!
When the opponent screamed, his eyes widened in fury as he stared at Peter Brown, completely shocked that the man who had just severed his arm was merely a one-star individual.
"Die!"
Although he was severely injured and hardly had any strength left, he still possessed the power of two stars. In his mind, killing Peter, a mere one-star individual, should not be difficult.
"Illusion!"
Peter saw at a glance that there was no possibility of dodging; the opponent’s spear had him completely locked in.
Realizing there was no way to dodge, Peter knew it was time to test the Illusionary Charm.
After a significant amount of star power was infused into the Divine Stone Charm, the opponent’s spear moved, stabbing toward what he saw as Peter’s head.
"Die!"
In his view, this thrust was enough to finish Peter off.
However, what he had not expected was the sudden manifestation of the Illusionary Charm’s power as his spear stabbed into mountain rocks instead.
Just as his spear pierced the mountain rocks, Peter’s great sword arrived.
Splat!
This time Peter had accurately calculated his strike, and his heavy blade landed squarely on the opponent’s neck.
Already grievously injured, the man was entirely unable to dodge Peter’s sword.
To everyone’s surprise, Peter, a mere one-star individual, had actually managed to decapitate the head of a Four Star fated individual.
Had he really killed the opponent?
Peter himself felt somewhat incredulous that he had actually killed such a powerful enemy.
As Peter stood there stunned, suddenly, he distinctly felt a massive influx of star power.
An unceasing stream of star power from the opponent’s body pushed Peter’s star power far forward, bringing him very close to reaching two stars.
So much star power?
Peter was truly surprised now, not expecting to gain so much star power from killing a Four Star individual.
Although he hadn’t reached Four Stars, with his current level of star power, he could exert far greater combat strength than before, making dealing with one-star individuals hardly a challenge anymore.
"You killed a Four Star fated individual?"
One of their generals looked at Peter incredulously.
"Not exactly, he was gravely wounded by that general."
Peter knew this was a time to be modest.
The general nodded slightly and said, "Very well, continue fighting."
Within moments, the general had thrown himself back into the fray.
Meanwhile, Peter pretended to attack the enemy, charging toward an area without any strong adversaries.
Anyone who saw Peter’s actions might think he was recklessly throwing himself into battle.
Suddenly mixing into a crowd of one-star individuals, Peter slashed while moving toward less crowded areas.
With the merit of having slain a Four Star opponent, Peter didn’t feel the need to achieve any further greatness.
