Henry Ford appeared very enthusiastic and even drove to the headquarters to give Peter Brown a set of examination books, urging him to review them as quickly as possible in the hopes of passing the examination.

Seeing Henry Ford appear so enthusiastic, Peter somewhat understood that Henry Ford now lacked the influence he once had. Seeing Peter visiting him, he didn’t want to seem weak, so he simply offered him this examination quota. It was partly because he knew Peter might not necessarily pass the examination; it was a favor given for free. It also showed he still had a little power.

Regardless of what Henry Ford was thinking, Peter didn’t care anymore—he took the books and went back to the hotel, sitting down to read them.

Given Peter’s memory, there was no problem with remembering the information; it was just that most of the knowledge was highly specialized, which required some explanatory material.

Of course, this didn’t pose a problem for Peter; he simply turned on his computer and cracked some teaching website programs, pulling up their lecture videos right away. Any part he didn’t understand, he would replay continuously to grasp the concept.

During this period, Peter had been studying in this fashion. Those video-teaching websites had tons of relevant content, which typically required payment for access. Peter never considered this aspect at all; he could even hack into the question database to see the examination questions.

In one night, Peter had learned a lot. What seemed difficult to others for a month posed no problem for him.

Early the next morning, Henry Carter came and, seeing Peter, smiled, "My classmate has already made the arrangements, let’s go there now."

Driving, Peter only then realized how congested the city was in Our Province, taking nearly an hour to reach Provincial University.

When Henry Carter made a phone call, a woman exuding a scholarly aura came out to greet them.

"Dexter, I’ve brought someone to register; please take care of him."

Upon seeing the woman, Henry Carter’s face was filled with smiles.

"Henry Carter, thank you so much."

"What are you talking about, taking care of an old classmate’s matter is of course a priority for me."

During the conversation, the woman turned to Peter with a smile and said, "You must be Peter Brown, right?"

"Hello, teacher."

Peter greeted respectfully.

Hearing this title, the woman laughed, "My name is Crystal Harris; you can also call me Ms. Watson."

Henry Carter smiled and said, "Actually, Peter was supposed to join a self-study exam, but I dragged him here; you really need to take care of him."

"Let’s go, we can talk while we walk."

Once they entered Crystal Harris’s office, they realized that there was nobody else there that day, probably waiting specifically for Peter to register.

After sitting down, Crystal Harris looked at Peter and said, "You might know a bit about this already, but since we’re acquainted, let me explain a bit. Our Province is piloting a self-study exam conducted right here at the university. Everything is official, and the diploma is nationally recognized, so you don’t need to worry about it. It’s just that this is the first year, and it’s not well publicized; many people are still skeptical, but Our Province values this wave of marketing, so we’ve asked friends to help spread the word."

"Ms. Watson, I understand. Since Mr. Carter recommended this place, I trust it’s legit. Just tell me how to register, and I’ll do it."

Crystal Harris beamed, "Alright, go ahead with the registration."

Reaching this point, she looked at Peter and said, "I heard from Mr. Carter a bit about your situation. You don’t have a diploma, right?"

"Yes, without a diploma, nothing can proceed."

"Well, since we’re just piloting, we’re not so strict. Just put down that you have a high school education when you fill out the application. Nobody’s going to check that. We have an Affiliate Middle School, so I’ll help you get a certification. Once you pass the exams, the high school diploma won’t matter anymore."

"Ms. Watson, I’ll follow your advice."

Peter, pleased with the arrangement, quickly filled out his information and paid the required fees.

After finishing these tasks, Crystal Harris handed a stack of books to Peter and explained, "Our exam structure is more flexible than ordinary adult education exams. It’s divided into four sessions, each lasting two weeks, conducted on Saturdays and Sundays. In two weeks, that’s eight course exams in total. If you’re confident, you might even complete all your exams in just two sessions."

Peter asked, "How many courses in total?"

"We’ve set up sixteen, which is just right for two sessions of exams. Of course, there are some who may not pass, so normally we conduct four sessions a year. Everyone should be able to pass within a year. Even if it’s difficult to pass in one year, we could make some slight adjustments to the essential courses, including practical ones. Anyway, getting a diploma within a year is a must."

Hearing this, Peter nodded slightly and said, "Ms. Watson, please arrange it so I can take eight exams each time. I’ll try to pass in two sessions."

Crystal Harris looked astonished at Peter and asked, "Are you sure?"

Henry Carter said, "Peter is awesome, you know. He knows three foreign languages, and his speaking is great."

"What?"

Surprised, Crystal Harris then burst out in English.

Peter, knowing she was testing his English, quickly engaged in a conversation with Crystal Harris in English.

After chatting for a while, Crystal Harris exclaimed, "You really are awesome; your pronunciation is very accurate."

Henry Carter smiled again and said, "Peter’s computer skills are also very awesome."

"You..."

Crystal Harris was somewhat speechless.

After a while, she said, "Why don’t you major in the computer field?"

"I’d rather major in a field related to our company."

"Okay, if you really are that awesome, capable of passing in two sessions, I recommend you also obtain a Computer-related Diploma. Later on, you could even directly apply for a master’s degree at Provincial University."

Right now, Peter just wanted to get a Bachelor’s Degree and wasn’t considering other options, so he simply agreed.

After finishing the registration process, when Peter was about to invite Crystal Harris for a meal, Henry Carter was the first to express his intention to invite her.

Peter noticed Henry Carter’s intentions and realized something. Henry Carter was using his own situation to reconnect with his old classmate, seemingly in pursuit of Crystal Harris.

With this in mind, Peter said to Henry Carter, "Manager, I think I’ll head back first; the sooner I start studying, the more assured I can be."

At that moment, Henry Carter couldn’t have been happier for Peter to leave and quickly asked, "How are you getting back?"

"I’ll take the train; it’s quite convenient."

"Alright then, take care on your way back."

Crystal Harris said, "I’ll contact you by phone if there’s anything."
