Suddenly, I Am Rich -
Chapter 88: Rosewood Residence
Chapter 88: Rosewood Residence
"Miss Hana will be waiting on the 4th floor, Sir."
As they reached the elevator. The receptionist turned to him gave him a polite nod as the doors opened.
"Thank you," Gray said again as he stepped inside.
The receptionist quickly pressed the button and smiled at Gray before bowing her head briefly as the doors slid shut quietly.
As soon as he was left alone, Gray exhaled.
He looked down at the documents in his hand again and couldn’t help but grin.
It still felt surreal.
As the elevator ascended, a weird mix of excitement and disbelief stirred in his chest.
After a few seconds, the doors opened again with a soft ding, revealing a warmly lit floor with a wide reception lounge. The space was modern and classy, with just enough gold trim and neutral tones to let people know this agency catered to very expensive tastes.
Gray stepped out of the elevator.
Almost immediately, a woman in her late twenties approached him. She had shoulder-length black hair and wore a tailored black suit with a subtle name tag pinned to the chest.
"Mr. Gray?" she asked, her smile was wide but warm.
"Yup, that’s me," Gray nodded.
"I’m Hana from the client relations team. I’ll be assisting you today," she said, offering a handshake.
Gray took it. "Nice to meet you."
"We were honestly surprised, Sir," Hana said as she began walking with him to the rest of the floor. "Yesterday, we were just processing files when we received a call and saw a full payment come in for a property in Rosewood Residences. There were no visits and no inquiries. It was just... very sudden."
Gray scratched his cheek.
"Yeah, it was kind of a last-minute thing." He had to answer the same thing as he did to the receptionist earlier.
"I figured it out sir," Hana laughed softly. "But still, It’s our first time handling something like that."
"Well, I guess you can say I trust fast," Gray said with a half-shrug.
"That must be nice," Hana smiled again. "But I do appreciate you coming in today, Sir. Do you have any questions about the property that’s why you visited us? I remember that we already sent every files needed to you yesterday after confirming your purchase."
Gray shook his head lightly.
"I have no questions about the papers. I just came to check if everything’s in place and also, to ask when I can move in."
In his words, Hana brightened. Initially, she thought that Gray had changed his mind, that’s why he was here. But it seemed like that wasn’t the case at all.
"Of course, Sir. You may move in anytime at your convenience." She smiled with confidence.
"Here at Elysian, we value your time, especially knowing how precious it is to our clients. That’s why we make sure everything is processed beforehand. The moment you signed and completed the ownership, the unit has already been secured and prepped for occupancy."
Gray raised his eyebrows.
"That efficient, huh?"
"Yes, Sir," she nodded. "And should you need assistance in moving your belongings, our concierge team can help with that too. It’s part of the full-service package you received. You can give us a call a day prior, and we’ll handle the transportation and placement of your things in your new home."
"That’s... actually really great." Gray blinked and chuckled under his breath. "I might take you up on that."
"Anytime, Sir. We’re open even on weekends. So you can schedule it at your convenience."
Gray gave her a short nod, clearly impressed. "That’s good to know. Then would it be alright to see the unit now?"
"Absolutely, Sir," Hana gestured politely toward the side corridor. "We’ve already arranged it. I can drive you there myself if you don’t have a ride."
"I have my driver waiting downstairs," Gray replied as he glanced toward the lobby.
"Perfect then. If you want, Sir, then I’ll meet you at the lobby of the residence in just a few minutes."
"Sounds good."
Gray gave her a courteous nod before turning back toward the elevator. The two of them boarded it.
As he descended again, the same quiet anticipation began to build in his chest. There was a lot to take in. He could already feel it, soon, he would be able to see the condo right before his eyes.
Once back on the ground floor, Gray exited the building. Daniel was already waiting for him at the main entrance. He was standing by the car with a hand on the door.
"Let’s head to the location I mentioned earlier," Gray said as he slid in. "We’ll be meeting the agent there."
"Yes, Sir."
A few minutes later, Hana’s vehicle pulled in behind them. She gave a short wave through the windshield before stepping out with a folder in hand.
Gray gave a small smile to the woman before going in the car. Daniel started to drive, following the woman as she drove in front of them.
The real drive into Rosewood Residences only began once they passed through the towering security gate. Unlike other residential areas, this one had its own set of guards—not just one, but several.
The first checkpoint scanned their IDs. The second asked for verification from the agency. The third simply nodded them through after receiving a radio confirmation.
Gray didn’t even have to say a word. Hana did all the talking for him.
"First-time visits tend to have more security," she explained as Gray get off the car. They just arrived in front of the building. "But once your registration logs into the system, access will be automatic."
"I see," Gray murmured, glancing out to the scene in front of him.
’Damn...’ his words caught in his throat in an instant.
What he saw was insane.
The building in front of him was like something out of a movie. It was even more prestigious than the building that the Lancasters owned.
The whole neighbourhood was out of touch. The roads were pristine, and every lamp post was perfectly symmetrical, every tree in bloom. The sidewalks also sparkled in cleanliness.
Everything here looked curated and expensive.
Hana stepped beside him, smiling lightly.
"Welcome to your new home, Mr. Gray." The woman said out loud.
Gray gave a short laugh, still trying to believe it.
"...Thanks." he answered, but his eyes were still left frozen on the building in front.
