He had deliberately taken the final attack so that he could fall into a disadvantageous position and then use Emperor Wu's attack to hide his escape.

However, Old Salamander had forgotten that Lu Yin had already sent out ripples of his power across the entire Primal Beastland. The moment Old Salamander attempted to tear through the void, Lu Yin reacted. Space warped, and then it became impossible for Old Salamander to escape.

A fist slammed into his head, sending him deep underground, dizzy and disoriented.

Forced to face Emperor Wu directly, Old Salamander needed to seal all of his opponent’s strength before Emperor Wu attacked.
