Chapter 48: A Brutal Fist

The sudden shout of his name made Sil stop his ice spear formation instantly. Jade turned towards his white haired friend with a firece look. With a strong voice, he said, "He is my pet, not yours. He is mine to punish l, and I punish him when I want, not when you want, okay?!"

Sil was shaken. He dropped the spear on the floor, shrugged and said, "okay. Do you."

Jade walked back to Leo with visible fury. He said angrily, "you just don’t know when to stop, do you? Who the hell do you think you are?!’

Leo looked at him dead on and took another bite of the snack.

"You have another explanation to make, yunno. It’s obvious you were involved in the mecha-men case that got Rosa interrogated by that sick man."

Another snack bite, and a hard munch.

"You won’t tell ne right? Then I guess you won’t mind telling my brother, Riley," Jade said finally.

Leo stopped chewing immediately. The snack suddenly became bitter in his mouth. He knew it’d get to this at last, but he was still caught off guard at the fact that he’d be facing Riley again.

"Yes, that right. Riley is waiting for you in the training center," Sil said triumphantly. He rushed to the door and swung it open to reveal three third-year seniors waiting for Leo at the hallway.

"Go on boy. Don’t keep them waiting," Jade said.

Leo knew he had no good option right now. He has to either follow the seniors to meet Riley or find a way to escape and therefore postpone his suffering, and that’s only possible if he can escape from here. So, he meekly walked to his doom. But for now, he decided to keep his cool. There was no use being scared when Riley will surely make him feel scared later.

He balled the snack wrapper in his fist while walking out. He got near the paper bin by the door and threw the wrapper lazily while saying the name of the popular basketball star on Earth many years ago, "Kobe." But he missed the bin by a wide distance.

"That legend will be disappointed," he thought.

He finally stepped out of the room and joined the waiting seniors. Leo already knew one of them to be ’Riley’s servant ’, because he was always acting like one. Leo remembered his name to be Ethan. The two other seniors remained strangers to him.

Ethan waved Jade bye and said, "we’ll be in the training center with Riley. You don’t have to show up to see this troublesome weakling getting drilled."

Jade closed the door.

One of the seniors then pushed Leo to move, and together they stepped into the elevator. Th soft music serenaded the elevator compartment as they traveled down, and once again, Leo growled in revolt at the boring and distasteful music, not even minding the seniors around him.

The el landed at the bottom floor and the door slid open to the lobby. Immediately they stepped out, everyone in the lobby started whispering and pointing hands at Leo.

"Look, he’s landed into trouble again," one of them said.

"The girl is not here to carry him to the hospital wing this time, aha," another said.

"He’s been doing more than his rank permits. How did he get in trouble with the seniors again?"

"I don’t care, I just hate seeing his face. Wish the seniors can just end him once and for all."

The hateful whispers went on but Leo wasn’t interested in them at all. He was looking elsewhere at the display board in the lobby. There was an important announcement that said,

[Beast Weapon Classes Will Commence Next Monday]

[Combat Classes Will Commence Next Wednesday]

[Quirk Control Classes Will Commence Next Friday]

[Anticipate These Classes with Determination]

[Your Journey To Becoming Your Best Version Is Starting]

[Good luck]

This was all Leo was waiting for since he got into the academy. The normal preparatory classes they’ve been having is boring him out. He needed more action like it was promised and here it was. Though he has been fazed a little, Leo still never forgot his main purpose for being here. He must rediscover that powerful quirk hidden inside of him, and to him, the closest way to do that was to get really engaged in training himself physically. Maybe some quirk control classes and some basic combat classes at least. He could learn the beast weapon classes later after he’s finally unlocked his quirk. His only concern was how he was going to take those quirk control classes when he doesn’t really have a quirk at the moment. Everyone saw him at the arena that day, so they all believed he possessed that blue laser energy. Will he still continue using Loca’s pen to deceive everyone including the teachers? He knew it was only a matter of time before someone discovers his secret, and he hated to think of the possible punishment he might receive for being deceptive. Maybe he can find a way of ditching those quirk classes and focus more on Combat and the Beast weapon classes for now.

Leo looked at the whispering students and thought, "wait till I show you what I’ve got hidden inside of me... Wait will I become stronger than your favourite Avengers."

Since today was Saturday, the training center was open to students who has pre-registered and who has been granted the pass to train personally for the day. Ethan and the other two senors must have gotten the pass because they just walked into the training center with confidence. One of them held Leo by the scruff of the neck and dragged him to a secluded section of the large training hall. This hall was almost twice as big as the arena, but loaded with advanced macjineried to aid in training oneself in whatever area one focuses on.

The training robots were always on hand to go head on with that trainees, shooting harmless arrows to make them improve on their agility, and also doing the opposite, moving at advancing speeds to dodge the quirks thrown at them. This helps improve quirk accuracy.

After they got to the secluded section of the training hall, Leo waited with the seniors for Riley. Ethan paced back and forth while staring at the door with angry eyes. Leo eonderd if it was really Riley they were waiting for because of the was Ethan was acting. He’d never act that angry at "his boss’s" lack of punctuality, Leo knew.

At last the door opened and somebody started coming fast in their direction. Leo saw that the seniors started getting ready as that person approached, but he also saw that this person wasn’t Riley at all. He was just a sandy-haired short boy with oversized clothes and a weak appearance. He was also a third-year senior. Leo didn’t know why, but the first thing he thought of was breaking this boy into two because he was just too lean to be true. But when he saw the B-rank glowing on his wrist, he redirected his thought.

As soon as the boy got close, Ethan rushed to him and gave him a very heavy punch to the face. Leo cringed as he was sure the boy’s face was bashed in, because a sickening crunch was heard.

"I warned you not to keep us waiting, Jose, didn’t I?" Ethan yelled at the poor boy on the floor.

The boy rose up from the floor swiftly with a perfect face, no scratch, no blood. His face was just like before, glum and tired. "Sorry Ethan. Something came up," he said with a low voice.

Ethan already turned away from Jose and was now facing Leo with a dead serious face. He snarled into Leo’s face and said, "will you now tell us why you had the gut to disobey Riley and go ahead to drag Rosa into your mess? How and why did you get her involved with the mecha-men during curfew hours? Did Riley not warn you enough?!"

Leo gulped hard and said solemnly, "I don’t know what you’re talking about. I wasn’t involved in the mecha-men."

Ethan gave a quick wicked laugh at Leo’s reply before balling his hand into a stone-hard fist. With a swift motion, he sent his extre hard knuckles crashing into Leo’s lower face. The punch connected so badly.

Several of Leo’s teeth scattered across the floor and he fell down straight backwards with a loud thud. He was completely knocked out.

Ethan winked at the little boy, Jose and said, "Heal him now, Jose. Once he’s healed, we’ll start all over again."
