Chapter 71: Planning For World Domination
Chapter 71: Planning For World Domination
Ainsworth knew that the purpose of owning worlds rather than selling them to the Earth Will was to farm resources from that world.
The specialties of the Zombie Apocalypse World were the solar crystals, moon crystals, artifacts, and zombie virus that could allow biological evolution. If he were to get rid of the zombie virus, most of those resources would no longer be available.
At that point, the Zombie Apocalypse World’s only value was its status as a world. After all, with such a huge property the size of a planet, Ainsworth could make a base camp in the Zombie Apocalypse World for his subordinates.
Even Ainsworth wasn’t certain whether the removal of the zombie virus would retain the strangeness of the sun and moon or not. If not, then he couldn’t get solar crystals and moon crystals.
No matter what, even if he could complete a side mission or hidden mission by cleansing the world of zombie virus, he’d rather not do it.
’I already have a system so I don’t lack resources and opportunities. Because of that, it’s better if I don’t sell the Zombie Apocalypse World to the Earth Will. Currently, I lack a base in the Otherworld so this world can serve as one.’
’After all, the Church of Evolution’s Basilica of Transcendence is Rian, Dante, and my base. The Church of Evolution believers might be expendables, but it still is a waste if I don’t get to keep them since they’d be useful if were to ever participate in an Otherworld War.’
’Anyway, selling this world is out of the question. But since I haven’t obtained this world yet, it’s too early to act like it’s already within my pockets.’
Shaking his head, Ainsworth no longer thought much about the ownership of the Zombie Apocalypse World as he could worry about those later when he secured its ownership.
For now, he decided to start laying the foundation for his world domination plan.
After informing Rian and Dante about his plans, Ainsworth didn’t bring the two of them as he only planned to make a quick trip to the Church of Evolution.
Donning his Cult Leader attire which consisted of a black coat and a deep crimson mantle, Ainsworth wore a half-formed bone-white mask that covered the left side of his face.
Wearing a crown with a black circlet and golden spires, his silver-blue hair spilled under the crown up to his nape, shimmering under the sunlight.
Wearing the complete set of his Cult Leader attire that made him look more like the Virus God of Evolution’s incarnation than the Church of Evolution Cult Leader, Ainsworth smiled as he looked up at the sun, "Today sure is a wonderful day."
With a single step, Ainsworth disappeared from Fort Echo-7. Using Freedom of Movement (SSS), he teleported to the Church of Evolution’s Basilica of Transcendence.
...
Outside the Basilica of Transcendence, humans wearing black and violet-colored robes.
The Church of Evolution’s sigil, a three-eyed ouroboros wrapped around a silhouette of a human figure, was prominently tailored at the back of their robes.
They were none other than the believers of the Church of Evolution.
Noticeably, none of the believers were normal humans as the weakest among them were Normal-rank Evolvers.
Led by Elite-rank Evolvers, those Normal-rank Evolvers were carrying corpses of zombies ranging from Normal-rank Zombies to even Special-rank Zombies.
Those Elite-rank Evolvers, who were ranked as Priests in the Church of Evolution, were leading and commanding the Acolytes in moving the zombie corpses inside the Basilica of Transcendence.
The first floor of the Church of Evolution was accessible to anyone as long as they were believers of the Church of Evolution. Furthermore, the divine wine refinement machine was located at Basement 2 (B2) which was also where the smarter believers with research talent would conduct experiments regarding the zombie virus and zombies.
Basement 2 was the Church of Evolution’s laboratory. Aside from the first floor, all believers also have access to Basement 1 and Basement 2.
In Basement 2, Acolytes and Priests were busy bringing over zombie corpses onto the divine wine refinement machine.
They weren’t worried about the possibility of intruders. After all, the Basilica of Transcendence was semi-sentient and it could detect anyone who didn’t have the father zombie virus inside them.
Aside from that, the High Priest Ken Rogers was guarding the Basilica of Transcendence so even a Zombie King would have to think twice in invading the Basilica of Transcendence.
While those Acolytes and Priests were using the divine wine refinement machine, they would avoid going near the door that led to Basement 3 as that was their God and High Apostles’ private floor.
And on that private floor, Ainsworth’s figure appeared as he had teleported to Basilica of Transcendence’s Basement 3.
Arriving in his room, Ainsworth was pleased to notice that even after a week of him leaving it unattended, there wasn’t any speck of dust and contaminants that accumulated.
"It seems that using Override: Ultimate Freedom to make the Basilica of Transcendence semi-sentient was the correct choice after all. Not only could it clean itself, but it could also repair itself as long as the believers kept on powering its core with zombie virus from zombie corpses."
"With my current power, even without the use of Override: Ultimate Freedom, I can still make a downgraded version of the Basilica of Transcendence when I establish branches of the Church of Evolution in other countries and continents."
"Anyway, the most important part of the Basilica of Transcendence is the divine wine refinement machine as that would automatically convert normal wine and zombie corpses into divine wine without having to do it myself."
"Other than that, I might also have to create a special printer for printing copies of the Church of Evolution’s religious text with imbued infohazard. As long those Priests preach what was written in the religious text, they can easily convert those evolvers and survivors with weak willpower into fanatical believers even without the use of the Hive Mind."
Since Ainsworth already planned to dominate the world using his own religion, he decisively devoted all the means he could use to make it prosper.
Before he had left, he already told Rian and Dante to do whatever they wanted. Whether they would train or infiltrate other human survival bases, as long as they didn’t slack off, Ainsworth could care less as long as their actions didn’t obstruct the plans he informed them about.
He had already known that Rian and Dante were barely relevant to his plans due to their lack of strength. It wasn’t their fault as the Zombie Apocalypse World’s world limit was very high for a non-ranked awakener’s first Otherworld Mission.
In retrospect, it was his decision to risk it in choosing the Unknown Difficulty rather than the Hell Difficulty. If it was the Hell Difficulty, Rian and Dante could still contribute as they were geniuses with high-rank classes.
However, the Unknown Difficulty was a sixth difficulty that wasn’t even mentioned by teachers in Edenbridge High nor recorded in the school library. It was only accessed by Ainsworth due to his SSS-rank Freedom Freelancer’s class trait so even he didn’t know about it.
Since it was he who insisted on the Unknown Difficulty despite his discussion with Rian and Dante to prepare for a Hell Difficulty Otherworld Mission, he decided to take responsibility for it as their team leader.
Ainsworth didn’t blame Rian and Dante as no matter how talented his teammates were, they could never surpass him who was both talented yet still had a golden finger (cheat skill).
Before, Rian and Dante were similar in power level to him as the three of them were comparable to Three-Star E-rank Awakeners. Now, just a week since the Otherworld Mission started, he already left them in the dust and unless they were system users like him, it would be impossible for them to catch up to him.
’Having teammates in Otherworld Missions isn’t necessarily to let them assist me as I can easily do Otherworld Missions solo. It’s to increase the difficulty and rewards yielded by the Otherworld Mission as a solo Hell Difficulty Otherworld Mission and a trio Hell Difficulty Otherworld Mission would vary in rewards and difficulty.’
’Maybe it’s a combination of choosing Unknown Difficulty as well as having three members on my team that we obtained S-rank skill books which in most cases, only S-rank Awakeners and above could normally acquire. Those skill books were even suited for us.’
’Furthermore, the next side missions would even yield SS-rank skill books and A-rank equipment. Forget their price value, the fact that it’s of high rank and suited for each of us is worth it.’
’Bringing Rian and Dante with me, or even other teammates in the future would only slightly inconvenience me. But the higher the risk, the greater the reward.’
’Aside from needing them to make up the numbers so that I could improve the reward quality for the Otherworld Mission, making friends with them and building bonds and connections would benefit me greatly.’
