Chapter 70: Terra’s Unusual History

Ainsworth recalled that with his B- grade Viral Energy stat attribute, Solar Moon crystals weren’t improving his strength that much anymore. Rather than being downright useless, the increase in the speed of his evolution became minimal let alone increasing it to B grade.

However, Ainsworth knew that it was normal for even Solar Moon crystals to become slightly irrelevant at a later stage. After all, he was already approaching the limit of this world’s power level and from what he deduced, even Zombie Overlords and Evolver Overlords would likely appear much later.

Without his interference, Zombie Overlords would only appear within a year or half a year if his calculations were incorrect since the speed of zombie virus evolution was quite unpredictable.

His evolution speed was abnormal even by this world’s standards as he was already at the rank of a Zombie Overlord/Evolver Overlord.

If he wasn’t mistaken, in other countries, they would only have Special Zombies and Special Evolvers but with his intervention and nurturing, Zombie Kings and Evolver Kings already appeared within his established Zombie Kingdom and Church of Evolution.

Furthermore, Ainsworth had still yet to find a normal-rank artifact let alone a special-rank artifact. It was the only Main Mission among the three main missions that Ainsworth and his team hadn’t completed yet.

The two main missions that were required to kill zombies and collect Moon Crystals and Sun Crystals were already considered complete as Ainsworth had sent the required Moon Crystals and Sun Crystals to the Earth Will in advance.

Although it was the only minimum requirement, Ainsworth planned to hand over the excess only when it was time to leave the Zombie Apocalypse World or when he reached the Zombie Apocalypse World’s power level limit first.

’If I’m not mistaken, there shouldn’t be a normal-rank or elite-rank artifact. If my hypothesis is correct, artifacts should be items imbued with the zombie virus, and under the effect of the Zombie Apocalypse World’s special world rule, the combination of both gave birth to items with special abilities.’

’Some artifacts might even have sentience or at least a limited version of it. The reason why I haven’t encountered any artifacts yet is due to it being too early as it’s only been a week since the zombie apocalypse started.’

’Perhaps when Zombie Kings evolved naturally without my interference, special-rank artifacts would appear at that time. But for now, Main Mission 3 which requires me to obtain one special-rank artifact is the only Main Mission that I haven’t completed yet among the three.’

’Main Mission 4 will only appear two weeks after the start of the zombie apocalypse which is a week from now. On the other hand, Main Mission 5 will only appear when 4 is completed.’

Having that thought in mind, Ainsworth soon decided, ’My team and I don’t really need to stay in Fort Echo-7 as they all are under the control of my Hive Mind.’

’According to the two side missions, I need to let Kyle become a Zombie Emperor. Aside from that, I also need to infiltrate and control almost all the human survival bases in this country.’

’Those side missions would end up with my team dominating the entire country so if I’m not mistaken, the next side mission would require dominating the entire world. Or is world domination a hidden mission rather than a side mission?’

’Nonetheless, it’s best if I start building cathedrals of the Church of Evolution in other countries. World domination might not be a hidden mission but starting a main religion surely is one.’

’Since I already have the initiative, I shouldn’t lose it and start converting the evolvers and survivors in other countries into my believers.’

Ainsworth realized that if he created branches of both the Zombie Empire and the Church of Evolution throughout the entire world, those two would conflict.

Of course, it wasn’t conflict in the sense of those two forces fighting against each other. Rather, a conflict in resources since the Church of Evolution required zombie corpses as ingredients for the divine wine.

If he created Zombie Empires in other countries, then the Evolver Emperors in those countries couldn’t use the Zombie Emperors there as nourishment for their growth.

As a God-Level Cult Leader, Ainsworth was more confident in his ability to establish a cult than an empire even if it was just an empire made up of zombies. So, he preferred that world domination was achieved through crusades with his Church of Evolution religion rather than using Hive Mind to control zombies.

With his God-Level Cult Leader talent, Ainsworth managed to write religious texts regarding the Church of Evolution religion and such religious texts contained infohazard.

Even without him using his God-Level Charm and other buffs to indoctrinate new believers, the religious text alone was more than enough to make those who read it pious and fanatical to the Church of Evolution’s cause.

’The Church of Evolution currently has three High Priests who are at Evolver King. I can let Ken Rogers stay in this country while the other two will go to other continents and establish branches there.’

’From what I had seen on the world map, this planet Terra has five continents, namely Eurafrasia, Americas, Oceania-Pacifica, Antarktikos, and Arctavia.’

’Currently, I’m in the Americas and the country I’m in is the United States of America. Americas is a continent located in the Northwest Hemisphere.’

’Now that I think about it, Terra sure is weird as it has the country naming and quite a similar history to the countries in my past life Earth.’

’However, the Earth I transmigrated to has a different history and has barely any similarities to the Earth in my past life nor the Terras in the Otherworld.’

’If I remember correctly, Awakeners had encountered a lot of worlds that were named as planet Terra, and none of those Terra bore the name of Earth. Because of that, humans in Terra were called by human earthlings as ’terrans’ as they all came from parallel world Terras.’

’It makes me doubt which Earth is real, the past life Earth that seemed to be a copy-paste template of the Terras in the Otherworld, or this current life’s Earth that had an alternate history to the past life Earth that I had remembered?’

’After all, from another perspective, the Earth I now lived in, despite its alternate history, is the only unique modern world among countless Terras. This Terra has a lot of similarities to other Terras in terms of culture and country names with the only major difference in its geographical placement and coordinates.’

’For example, if I compare it to the geography of Earth from my past life, Eurafrasia appears to be a fusion of Europe, Africa, and Asia—though not entirely, as parts of those continents seem to have ended up in other landmasses.’

’The Americas, on the other hand, seem to be a merged version of North and South America. I assume it has something to do with different continental shifts or tectonic plate activity—after all, according to Terra’s history, all the continents originally came from a single supercontinent.’

’Although it might be related to this multiverse’s secret on why Earth is unique while the other Terras are just copy-pasted versions of my past life Earth, I’m still not qualified to learn about it so there’s no use in thinking too much about it.’

When Ainsworth pondered about the difference between his past life Earth, current life Earth, and the countless Terras in the Otherworld, he ultimately decided to worry about those later when he became stronger.

For now, he planned to send his two High Priests to Eurafrasia and Oceania-Pacifica. As for Antarktikos and Arctavia, they were covered in snow and had freezing temperature throughout the entire year so the population in those continents weren’t that high.

So, in Ainsworth’s plan, he and his team with the assistance of the Zombie Empire and Church of Evolution will dominate all countries within the Americas Continent starting from the United States of America.

Although Ainsworth only established the Zombie Empire to complete the Side Mission: Road To Zombie Emperor (SS+), he still planned to make use of Kyle and those zombies to lighten the burden of the Church of Evolution.

’Depending on the side missions, I can either discard the Zombie Empire if it’s no longer relevant, or I can keep it and let it prosper.’

’Triggering hidden missions isn’t that difficult if the awakeners have enough power. For example, if I cause a genocide, it would surely trigger a hidden mission if I kill every living creature in the Zombie Apocalypse World.’

’Not only that, even if I don’t cause genocide, there definitely would be a hidden mission for cleansing this world of the zombie virus. However, such actions would be foolish as that would reduce the value of this world.’

’The uniqueness of this world is that it’s a Zombie Apocalypse World. If the zombies, virus evolution power system, and zombie virus are removed, then its value would plummet. That’s like being in a Magic Fantasy World but ridding it of magic and mana.’
