Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon
Chapter 777 - 777: 774: What Would You Have Done?

The necklace he got from the corpse of one of the Tier 4 trolls had the ability to make his skin as hard as stone.

The ability was a defensive ability that made Corey to recall one of his earlier skills as a Tier 0.

Iron Skin.

Recalling Iron Skin made him to recall the Merchant from whom he bought the Iron Skin skill.

From what he could see, the Stone Skin skill was actually stronger than the Iron Skin skill he had in the past.

And the reason for this is because the necklace contained Mystic Force and Mystic Mana in it, and when it activates the Stone Skin skill, it uses the Mystic Force and Mystic Mana in it, not one's mana.

"But if I still had the Iron Skin skill, it would be a lot stronger than the Stone Skin skill of the necklace because of my mana that has Mystic Force in it."

Corey muttered softly, and then he stored the necklace in the storage space of his Tri-Pupil Eyes.

His gaze went to the bloodied corpses in front of him, and he furrowed his brows slightly.

"The smell is going to attract other monsters and beasts."

Corey placed his right hand on the ground, and earth runes swirled around his hand. A second later, a large and deep hole appeared beneath all the corpses, and they fell into the hole.

New earth appeared, and it filled the hole, making the cave to seem like no battle had taken place at all.

Corey dusted his hands, but his nose moved and he perceived the stench of blood.

He shook his head, and with a gentle wave of his hand, wind runes appeared around his hand as he sent a heavy gust of wind outside the cave.

"Hmm. Much better."

Corey nodded his head in appreciation after perceiving no stench of blood from the cave.

He exhaled softly, and then he spoke out loud with a stoic expression.

"Nina."

There was silence for some moments, and Corey's expression remained stoic.

[What do you want to know?]

Nina replied after some moments, and Corey narrowed his eyes slightly.

A part of him thought that Nina was not going to answer him. Fortunately, she did.

"Why did I not feel your presence when I was with Prince Zakar'el?"

[Because I was using everything I had to hide the secrets of your Demi-Paragon body from him.]

Corey frowned, "But he was still able to find out some things."

[Of course... He's like a... let me say... He's like a grade below the Paragon Ancestor... He's way stronger than me. There's no way I could have hidden everything.]

"But couldn't you have hidden my Cosmic Soul from him?"

[Your Cosmic Soul is not so easy to hide from somebody that is more ancient and powerful than me.]

"Hmm."

Corey hummed with a pondering expression, and after some seconds, he spoke.

"What can you tell me about the Letherions, Prince Zakar'el, and his heart?"

[Nothing.]

Corey's expression did not change in the slightest when he heard Nina's reply.

He had expected it.

However, that does not mean that he was pleased with her response. He needed something, anything sort of information from Nina about the Letherions, the last Letherion Prince, and his heart.

If he could not get any information from Nina, then that meant that he would be flying blind when it came to the heart and what he was meant to do with it.

Nina could perceive his emotions of dissatisfaction, and she sighed.

[Sigh.]

[The reason why I can't tell you anything about the Letherions, the Prince, and his heart is because I truly know nothing about any of them.]

Corey raised a brow in slight surprise, "You don't know anything about the Letherions, the Prince, or his heart?"

[Yes.]

[I tried accessing the Queen Mother's archive, but I don't have access to the section of the archives that contain information on the Letherions.]

Corey furrowed his brows, and remained silent for some seconds before speaking once again.

"If you don't know anything about the Letherions, the Prince, or his heart, then what am I meant to do with it? Should I fuse with it, should I not fuse with it, or should I use it for something else?"

[That's your decision to make. Not mine.]

Corey furrowed his brows, "I'm not as unknowledgeable as I used to be, so I have some idea about how dangerous it can be for somebody to change their race. I'm just asking for your opinion since I'm dealing with an ancient race even you know nothing about."

Corey recalled some of the things he had read about race change while he was in the Underworld.

Most would think that changing one's race was something without dangers or a way to become much stronger. However, Corey knew that changing one's race came with certain dangers.

For example, one can die while changing their race.

Corey had read about instances where certain humans tried to get the bloodline of vampires, but they either died in the process or ran mad and became monsters.

There were several reasons for this, and one of this is when one has a low pain tolerance and a weak will.

Another danger is bloodline conflict, and a perfect example of this is a dragon or somebody with a dragon bloodline tries to fuse with a phoenix bloodline.

The conflict that would occur would be catastrophic in the body and mind of the individual.

There's also loss of compatibility with skills, resistances, and affinities.

Also, certain races may have dominant racial instincts, and without perfect control over the bloodline, these instincts can override the mind of the individual, turning the person into a savage creature or a cold, inhuman existence.

There were several other dangers one could face when changing their race, and Corey was wary of all these dangers.

Becoming a Demi-Paragon was so easy for him because the Progenitor of all Paragons assisted him.

Corey was not certain if several other Paragons had the grace to be assisted by the Paragon Ancestor in fusing with a Paragon bloodline, but he knew that he was lucky... Extremely lucky.

But this time around, he had a very strong feeling that the Paragon Ancestor was not going to help him in fusing with Prince Zakar'el's heart.

In fact, why should he?

Vampires, Werewolves, Phoenixes, Dragons, and so on were not comparable to Paragons, Supremes, or the Letherions.

And because of this, Corey knew he had to be extremely cautious with whatever decision he made.

And this was why he needed Nina's help. However, Nina's next words made him to start having other thoughts.

[If I was not with you, what would you have done? What decision would you have taken?]
