Chapter 65: Chapter 65
Avalin eyed Luan suspiciously. "Do you really not know who I am? Even after I introduced myself?"
"Am I supposed to know who you are?" Luan said, shrugging.
’He must be from another country,’ Avalin thought.
"I’m sorry, I thought you were from here. Let me reintroduce myself. My name is Avalin Vandar. I’m the owner of Vandar Brewery and The Common Stock," he said.
"Seriously?" Luan blurted out. ’This guy is the owner of the biggest shop in the country?’ he thought, glancing at his bulging stomach that was barely contained by his large shirt.
"Yes, so money is not a problem. Now, back to the previous topic, I would like Vandar Brewery to become the sole alcohol supplier for The Silver Coin," Avalin proposed.
Now Luan had to take him seriously after hearing that; this guy was no joke. Being one of the richest people in the world. He had even seen him in his time playing the game.
"And what’s the price going to be for that?" Luan asked, his attitude completely shifting after learning the man’s true identity.
"Well, depending on how much you want and other things, a couple hundred gold coins a week or something. As for my investment, just name your price, and then we can discuss how to split the profit as well as other things."
"Galan, go and get Thomas and Kian; tell them it’s urgent," Luan ordered; he had to be careful in front of such a person. No way did he become so successful by being a bad merchant.
He had to be careful how he played his cards, or his whole business might be devoured. Exerting a little pressure, Luan looked straight at Avalin.
"Could you wait a while? I need my right-hand man and imperial contract master by my side for decisions like this," Luan said, a smirk on his face.
Avalin’s eyes widened momentarily after hearing that this young boy in front of him had an imperial contract master.
That meant he was from a very important noble house. His earlier relaxed attitude shifted now as well. His posture straightened out as he and Luan made some small talk while waiting for Galan to return.
Feeling each other out and trying to get information from each other, the conversation went nowhere; the atmosphere was very tense. When finally the door opened, the three people entered the room.
Kian and Thomas glanced at Avalin after entering the room and stood behind Luan. Not daring to relax their guards after being briefed by Galan on everything that had already happened.
Never in his wildest dreams could Kian have expected that random plump merchant to be one of the richest men in the world.
Which was surprising on its own, but now this man wanted to invest in The Silver Coin? It seems Luan’s idea wouldn’t flop if this guy came to make an offer.
"Now I’m ready to start the negotiations," Luan said, downing the last of his glass of water. Trying to pry any information from this guy was no easy feat.
During the short time that Galan had left to fetch Kian and Thomas, it had felt like an eternity for Luan.
"Sir Avalin, why did you come here alone? Isn’t that dangerous?" Kian asked, after learning his identity, this was the one thing that he wondered about.
If he was so rich, why would he not hire some security? It made no sense to Kian, who had been serving in the Meskevela family for multiple decades.
"Well, I have security with me, but they’re waiting outside. After I heard about this place from my employees and son. They also told me about the security measures you had in place, so it made sense to me to leave my security outside," Avalin explained.
"Hahaha, now that’s what I like to hear," Luan said with a confident smirk.
Kian felt another headache coming, seeing him react like that. ’Does he have an intelligence network that terrifying, or is he always like that?’ he thought. Looking at Luan with a smirk on his face.
Avalin, on the other hand, had a smile on his face. It looked like his plan worked exactly how he wanted to.
When his sigil suddenly flared up and warned him about an unknown business that was about to boom. He immediately used all the resources at his disposal to find out everything about the owner, who he was, and his personality.
"Even though I like you a lot just because of that. I won’t be able to just accept any offers you throw at me," Luan stated, even though the smirk on his face didn’t disappear, he had a more regal air surrounding him.
When Avalin saw this, he almost had the urge to bow and prostrate himself in front of Luan. ’He is definitely by no means an easy opponent.’
After that, with Thomas constantly drafting new contracts, the negotiations were intense. Avalin all alone against Luan and some of his most trusted subordinates.
Still, the middle-aged man was not budging an inch and actually had the upper hand. During most of the negotiations.
As sweat dripped down Luan’s forehead, they had finally come to an agreement after hours of going back and forth.
The two men stood up and shook each other’s hands firmly.
"It was a pleasure doing business with you," Avalin said, wiping the sweat from his brow and a satisfied smile.
"Indeed it was. Sadly, I’ll have to leave tomorrow, but whenever you are in the Alderon Empire, you can always visit the Meskevela territory and ask for me," Luan replied, also wearing a satisfied smirk on his face.
Hearing that, Avalin was perplexed for a moment before regaining his composure. "It seems I might have underestimated you, young master," he remarked, barely containing his delight.
"I’ll also bring my most precious daughter. I’m pretty sure she is about the same age as you and is very capable in business management," Avalin said, a defeated sigh escaping from his mouth.
"If only she was born as a man. I would most definitely have handed her the business after I retire."
When Luan heard, his eyes lit up, "Make sure to bring her with you and visit soon, please. Or she might have to be a concubine. The reason I’m going back home now is for marriage meetings," he explained.
Then after some more words, Avalin left the office, guided by Galan.
