Chapter 61: Chapter 61

Luan nodded at Kafele’s question. "Yes, I want to thank them and offer them some benefits now that The Silver Coin is up and running."

With that, the trio made their way through the city and arrived in front of Giuseppe’s weapon shop. Kafele opened the door and held it open for Luan and Tokiko.

After they entered, Kafele also entered and stood next to the door, making sure no one would disturb his lord.

When Giuseppe saw Luan from behind the counter, he sighed. "Hello, how’s it going?"

Luan rolled his eyes. "It’s going fine. Thanks to your fast service, we were able to open a couple of weeks in advance. Thank you."

Giuseppe proudly slapped his chest. "Of course, when such a huge order comes in from a customer, we will do our best. Right, Grant." He bellowed playfully.

Grant, who was exhausted from the many hours he had put in, slowly wobbled toward the counter and sat down, sighing.

"Yeah, yeah, old man." He said, and only then did he see Luan with a new girl standing next to him and a butler standing in front of the door.

"Ah! Sorry, Luan. I hadn’t seen you," he apologetically said, correcting his posture.

"No worries, I came here today to thank you for your service."

With that, he took a couple of gold coins out of his pocket and a card. With a smirk, he slid them across the counter toward the two dwarves who were curiously looking on.

"This is a thank you from me. You can use this card to freely enter The Silver Coin and use those gold coins to have some fun or order food or whatever you want. I also hope I can always count on you when I need weapons," Luan explained.

Giuseppe and Grant looked at each other, then at Luan, and both smiled. "Thank you," they sincerely said.

Gratefully accepting the card and gold coins. "And for sure, whenever you need new weapons, you know where to find us," Giuseppe said, slapping Grant on the back with a hearty laugh.

Tokiko observed all this quietly while standing behind Luan. ’Even though he acts like a troublemaker sometimes, he can also act like a dignified lord,’ she thought, a small smile appearing on her face.

"Was that all, Luan?" Grant asked.

Luan nodded. "Yes, that’s all. I’ll just look around a bit to see if I want any of the weapons, because why not? I’m here now anyway," he stated.

Giuseppe and Grant then both stood up and headed back into the smelting chamber. "Just give us a shout if you need anything," Giuseppe said.

"Alright." With that, Luan stood up and started looking around the shop to see if any of these weapons were worth buying.

"You two can also look around. If you see anything that you need or think would be handy to have, just grab it. No need to be shy," He stated without turning his head as he kept inspecting the swords, spears, and all the other weapons that were on display.

Kafele didn’t hesitate a second and left his spot in front of the door to also look around for some new daggers. He had joined Kian a couple of times when they came to get the weapons crafted, and every time he was mesmerized by the quality.

This shop was a true gem, where quality was the most important.

Tokiko, on the other hand, was quite nervous. ’Is this a test? But Kafele is seriously looking around. Why is he so whimsical?’ She grumbled under her breath.

Making sure no one could hear her, after fidgeting nervously, fingers tugging at the hem of her maid uniform for a while, she also started looking around the small shop to see if maybe she could find anything the other girls would like.

After looking around for around half an hour, Kafele had placed two splendid pairs of daggers on the counter and was once more standing in front of the door, patiently waiting for Luan and Tokiko to finish looking around.

When suddenly Luan saw Vira appear in the middle of the shop, she was floating there in a fetal position.

Her normal figure was glowing fiercely, and even though Luan hadn’t summoned her, she had just appeared out of thin air. Luan looked around and saw Tokiko and Kafele also looking at Vira.

"She just appeared and is visible to everyone? What’s going on?" He muttered, but he jumped right into action.

"Kafele, make sure no one enters!" He ordered, "Tokiko, go and get Guiseppe!"

Without waiting for a reply, Luan carefully approached the glowing Vira. She was continuously emitting sensations he had never felt before; they were so bizarre he had no idea what they meant.

Kafele exited the shop and stood right in front of the door holding two daggers, scaring away anyone that might try to sneak a peek.

Tokiko ran to the counter and shouted for Giuseppe to come. "Sir Giuseppe, could you please come over here real quick!"

The door to the smelting chamber flew open, and Giuseppe stepped out, and what he saw left him stunned.

He could hardly see anything; the whole room was becoming brighter by the second, and it was filled with white light.

Now even Tokiko could hardly see anything anymore, and Luan, who stood right in front of Vira, felt his whole world spin. Even with his eyes closed, he was so close to the source of that white light that closing his eyes barely helped.

Then the strange sensations that Vira was emitting suddenly halted, and she floated around Luan, entering the huge mark on his back, the same mark she had appeared from.

After the light suddenly vanished, Tokiko and Giuseppe ran toward Luan, who was trying his best to stay standing after everything that had just happened.

"Are you okay, my lord?" she asked, concerned while supporting him so he wouldn’t fall over.

Giuseppe was supporting his other arm, and together they helped Luan take a seat on a chair Grant had placed in front of the counter.
