Everyone had signed the contract, and Luan sent them all away, toward the private room reserved for them.

He glanced at Tokiko, who was the only one still in the room except for him. Kian had stepped outside, and Luciano was guiding her parents and the others who had just signed the contracts toward the room.

Tokiko was nervously looking around, playing with the hem of her dress. Trying to act nonchalantly.

"So why did you want to stay behind?" he asked her. A teasing smile on his face.

"Well, you asked me to," she replied, still glancing around, avoiding eye contact.

Luan stood up and sat down next to her. "Aren’t you afraid of what I might do?"

She turned her head abruptly, her eyes widening at his words. She put some distance between herself and him, moving her chair away little by little.

"Um. Were you lying just now then?" she inquired, her hands gripping the edges of her dress.

She knew she couldn’t do much; he was the son of a duke, and she was just a commoner, but she wouldn’t let him do whatever he wanted.

She saw this as an opportunity; if it didn’t work out, she could always go back to living with her parents.

Luan burst out laughing; after a while, he composed himself.

"I like you. How about you become a maid, and we’ll see where it goes from there?" he stated.

When Toriko heard this, she heaved a sigh of relief. It looks like her boldness had paid off.

"Deal, so when do I start, and what should I do?" she asked.

"Follow me." Saying that Luan stood up and left the room, once outside he saw Kian standing there guarding the room.

"Grab all the leftover contracts and follow me."

"Understood," Kian said.

Then the three walked through the second floor before arriving at the private room built for Luan.

Toriko looked around at all the guards and people running around carrying all kinds of things; she had never seen anything like it.

Entering the room, she saw the other two butlers and a dozen women in maid uniforms. They all bowed in unison when Luan entered the room.

"This is Toriko. She will be a new addition. Teach her the ways and treat her nicely."

"Yes, my lord." They all said in unison.

"Clover, show her where she should change her clothes, and after that, go and help in the kitchen; we are almost opening."

"Yes, my lord." Clover said, grabbing Toriko’s hand and dragging her into another room.

Luan was seated inside his office, looking down through the window at the people he had hired to spread the word about The Silver Coin.

After the official launch, as expected, no one entered, and only the people he had hired were enjoying themselves, but that was what he was anticipating.

That’s also the reason he hired those people. It was now a couple of hours after launch, and they were now going to spread the word. He had created fabricated lies they could spread, like they came in with a couple copper coins and left with gold coins.

Even if no one would believe them, he had provided them with gold coins so they wouldn’t have a choice but to believe it.

And like that, people would start carefully checking it out. It was probably going to take a while before the business became very profitable, but that was all within his calculations. He still had about three months left before he needed to head back.

So before that time he hoped to earn a couple thousand gold coins in pure profit.

"We’ll see how it goes; it’s the first of its kind in this world. So people might get hooked super fast. Or it could also take longer," he muttered to himself.

Behind him, Galan and Kian stood there, awaiting Luan’s orders.

"Go and help downstairs; make sure nothing goes wrong. I do not want any issues." Luan ordered, without even turning his back.

"Understood, my lord." Kian said, and they both left the room, closing the door behind them.

Now left all alone inside his office, Luan summoned all his currently contracted spirits.

These last couple of months hadn’t been spent only working on matters regarding The Silver Coin. He had also been diligently training his sigils. And their abilities.

He had made a lot of progress with both of his sigils. He could now use their abilities almost as naturally as breathing.

His elven monarch sigil was much more useful than he had anticipated. Its uses became apparent during these last couple of months.

All the slaves were rather tame and worked really hard partly because of the rewards Luan offered but also partly because he was constantly using his sigil abilities.

His authoritative gaze combined with his commanding presence proved to be very helpful in persuading people and making them respect him. He was basically using them unconsciously every waking moment of the day.

Enhancing his presence also made him look much more trustworthy to everyone around him.

A smirk spread across his face just thinking about how easy it was to enter those people’s houses and convince them with a small amount of money to basically catapult his business into success.

As for his other sigil, he had a lot more trouble mastering this one compared to the monarch sigil. Because there wasn’t a precedent of anyone ever having this sigil.

So he could only slowly figure things out on his own, but these last couple of months he had finally been making some progress.

He could finally use his spirits like they were his own arms. Vira, Lumi, Mara, and Torg had also grown more accustomed to Luan’s commands and summons.

Especially Vira and Lumi Luan felt like they were actually growing stronger the more Luan trained with them and used their abilities.

Vira was getting restless these days, and Luan felt like something big was about to happen. But he had no idea what to do or how to prepare for it, so he could only carefully observe her and act accordingly.
