Chapter 53: Chapter 53

Going over everything from etiquette to dress code and the working hour shifts, Luan presented them with rather favorable working conditions, according to him. They only needed to work three or four days a week, alternating weekly with the second kitchen team.

Looking over the large room filled with tables covered in tablecloths with different minimalistic designs, Luan was rather satisfied with the work the craftsmen had delivered. Just thinking about how some of them were now exclusively working for him on other projects he was planning to launch in the future after The Silver Coin took off, he couldn’t help but rub his hands together in anticipation.

Even though he had some concerns about whether it would earn him any money, he had plans in place for that as well, so he wasn’t going to worry about it too much. If it failed, so be it; he could still live comfortably mooching off his parents, which he would rather not do.

Leaving the third floor, he went to inspect all the private rooms on the second floor. They were all rather similar, but there were differences; some rooms were more expensive, so they were equipped with better amenities and other luxuries. After going through all the rooms and seeing that everything was ready and set up, he went toward the single room that no one was able to reserve.

This room was specifically designed at Luan’s request because he had multiple big ideas for later additions to The Silver Coin, so he took precautions for that. This room was rather large and had a private kitchen installed in it, together with a bedroom and a bathroom. And, of course, a room for gambling.

When Luan saw how the room had turned out, he started grinning. Lily and some craftsmen, who were following close behind Luan and explaining what everything was, looked at each other. Lily could only sigh.

"Let him be; he was so busy the last couple of months that his true personality was suppressed. Now that almost everything is finished, you will start seeing the real Luan," she whispered.

All the craftsmen looked at her with raised eyebrows. An older man standing at the front, wearing a blue cap and loose-fitting pants, also wore a plain black shirt and was rather muscular.

"But, young lady, is this reaction good or bad?" he carefully whispered back, hoping Luan wouldn’t hear.

Lily thought for a moment and then shrugged. "No idea; I have no clue what he’s thinking most of the time, to be honest."

The craftsmen looked at each other with worried expressions and patiently waited for Luan’s verdict. Hoping he would be satisfied, they had also been working nonstop just like Luan these last couple of months. If Luan gave the final okay for everything, they would finally be able to take a break.

"Wait here," Luan stated as he entered the room. As he went through it, he carefully inspected everything. The craftsmen stood outside with bated breath, almost all of them crossing their fingers. After what felt like an eternity, Luan exited the room with that same grin on his face.

"Great job; I’m very satisfied with the result. Now, only the first floor is left." Saying that, he made his way toward the stairs. Lily followed right behind him, but all the other craftsmen stood there in a daze.

After hearing what Luan said, they almost wanted to jump around and celebrate, but the second part of his sentence felt like a bucket of cold water had been dumped on them. Still, they were happy; the second floor was done. Now, only the first one was left. Feeling confident, they also made their way downstairs.

Once downstairs, they saw Luan and Lily going around carefully inspecting everything. At every table, there were some security guards and slaves dressed in suits. They were simulating how things would be once the business opened. When they saw Luan, they all gave him a firm nod and went right back to what they were doing. Luan nodded back.

After doing a full tour, he went outside and looked at the exterior of the building. The previously dilapidated building now looked to be in pristine condition, with a large silver coin painted right above the entrance doors, the words The Silver Coin written in the middle.

Seeing this, Luan couldn’t help but tear up a little; all his hard work had paid off, and he was ready to launch. Well, he was almost ready; he had a couple more things to take care of to ensure the launch would go smoothly. Looking at all the craftsmen and Lily, who were standing behind him, he started clapping.

"You all did a fantastic job; I am very satisfied with the end result. Thank you for your hard work, all of you," he declared, even going so far as to slightly bow. He truly meant it from the bottom of his heart; without every single one of them, the slaves, and other people he hired, this wouldn’t have been possible to set up in the short span of a couple of months.

Lily stared at Luan, eyes wide. She had never expected him to act like this. But right after, she regained her composure and bowed deeper than Luan had.

"This is also thanks to you, my lord; without the funds or ideas, this wouldn’t have been possible," she sincerely said.

Then all the craftsmen also bowed their heads; they were all passionate about their craft, and Luan had given them the opportunity to work on a huge project. And even now that this one was basically finished, Luan still had other projects they could work on; they could wholeheartedly focus on what they loved now. In unison, they all shouted, "Thank you!"

Luan smiled. "Now go take your well-deserved break. I will, after all, need your services much more in the near future." After he said that, he grabbed Lily’s hand and went back inside, leaving the other craftsmen standing there, bowing.
