Chapter 52
Chapter 52: Chapter 52
After Galan, the contracts were signed one after another. Some slaves were hesitant, their gazes flicking between Luan and the servants. Others signed eagerly, desperate for a chance at something better.
Some slaves also refused to sign the contract, feeling it was too good to be true. Luan didn’t bother trying to change their minds and just auctioned them off.
Why should he bother with people like that? There are a dime a dozen; after a whole day of this, they had finally finished most of the preliminary preparations for the staff and other things for the Silver Coin.
Lazily lying on the sofa Luan was looking at some documents Lily had handed him with a smirk on his face.
His plans were going smoothly; he still had abundant funds, and he was fairly certain he could pay for everything without looking for outside sponsors.

Everyone was very busy, preparing for the grand opening of the Silver Coin.
Luan, in particular, was like a different person, not doing any of his usual shenanigans. He was working overtime preparing everything he needed for his business.
He was not cutting any corners, doing everything very thoroughly. Personally training staff and looking at all the buildings that were suitable.
After a couple of days of careful discussion with Kian and some of the other members his mother had sent, they decided on a building situated in the east of the city.
With lots of empty space surrounding it, Luan had chosen this place because he had big plans to expand the Silver Coin. So he needed the extra space surrounding it.
After deciding on the building, they immediately got to work, hiring the most skilled craftsmen and even contracting some of them to work exclusively for him.
Seeing how he was burning through his funds he had painstakingly gathered, he felt a tinge in his heart but knew it was for a great purpose, making him rich.
Days turned into weeks and weeks into months, as the silver coin was beginning to look very presentable. The high-class furniture on the ground floor and the casino like atmosphere.
On the first floor were private gambling rooms for VIPs, and on the second floor was a large luxury restaurant.
Luan could almost smell the profit he would make after opening; he also had plans to lure in customers to make sure it wouldn’t flop.
After investing more than fifteen thousand gold coins, he couldn’t allow it to flop, or he would become broke as hell.
Seated at his desk on the fourth floor, above the luxury restaurant, he was looking over some papers.
With a sigh he slouched back into the chair, looking around the small office he had decorated for himself as the CEO of the Silver Coin.
"Galan, get Kian for me." Luan lazily ordered a grin on his face.
Galan, who stood outside the door guarding it without a word, left and a while later returned with Kian.
Who, just like Luan, looked like he had been working way too much overtime; his normally neat suit looked wrinkled, and his red hair was messy.
He looked like he hadn’t slept in days, with puffy eyes.
"What did you need, my lord?" Kian asked after entering the room; his normally perfect posture now looked crooked.
Luan saw Kian and could only offer a silent prayer for him. This was the final stretch before the opening; after the opening, they would finally get some breathing room, and he was looking forward to it.
"How’s everything going?"
"Everything is on schedule; the slaves are learning rather fast and are motivated with the incentives you gave them." Kian replied with a nod.
Luan had a smug look on his face: "Well, of course I need them to do their best for me to earn my money back multiple times over. Eventually we will start branches in other countries as well."
Kian looked at Luan. ’It seems he has some really big plans. But this business does look rather promising. I’ve never seen anything like it.’ He thought.
Then Luan stood up." "Let’s go. It’s time to do the final sprint before the grand opening."
With that, they both left the office and went downstairs with Galan following closely behind.
Luan glanced at him and nodded a couple of times to himself; he was very satisfied that he had found Galan.
Who was a very powerful warrior and now also his personal guard as well.

And like that, two months passed in the blink of an eye.
As all the prototypes were finalized and the slaves finished their training, Luan had to give it to them; they were working extremely hard.
He was expecting the training to take a lot longer, but after he offered them large amounts of silver coins after the business opened, it seemed they were all very motivated.
The Silver Coin was now ready to open; on the first floor, there were multiple areas with lots of security. Luan had invested a lot of his resources into security.
He had a hunch that after other merchants or anyone wealthy or powerful saw how profitable the silver coin could become, they might try some dirty tactics to get their hands on it.
So Luan had prepared security twenty-four seven. They would rotate in shifts and always have around thirty people on standby.
He was also thinking of making a kind of entrance card that people could buy, but after seeing how little funds he had left, he gave up on that idea.
The next step was the most important step; everything he had done until now was only preparations.
All the games were ready, and he had even, with the help of the craftsmen and Lily, created new tools and kitchen equipment.
Standing in the high-end kitchen on the third floor, Luan was admiring it with a smug look. Then he glanced at the kitchen staff he had exclusively trained.
They were all slaves that loved cooking or had a job in a tavern or inn but because of unfortunate circumstances needed to go into slavery.
Not that he minded that it was only because of that that he could gather the kitchen staff so cheaply.
