Chapter 163: Academy Competition 9: Disqualify Guardian Academy

"All of you! Defense skill!" Tori’s urgent command cut through the roaring arena.

In a blur, her three colossal beasts sprang forward, positioning themselves protectively before her. With a synchronized effort, a colossal purple shield shimmered into existence, a vibrant, temporary barrier against the impending onslaught.

BOOOOOM!!!

Advika’s attack, charged with the raw power of a goddess, slammed into the shimmering shield. It disintegrated instantly, shattering like fragile glass, and the force of the blow continued its relentless trajectory, colliding with the three massive beasts.

BAM!

A collective gasp of horror rippled through the audience, echoing Tori’s own stunned silence. The beasts collapsed to the ground, deep, angry burnt marks scarring their bodies, blood seeping from their wounds.

"Oh my god! If that attack had touched Tori, she wouldn’t have survived," Chloe muttered, her voice laced with shock.

Katherine, a thoughtful expression on her face, turned to Chloe. "Are you thinking what I am thinking?"

Chloe met her gaze. "Whoever trains with your brother will get stronger?" Katherine nodded emphatically.

"After this competition, Big brother will have to tell me the way to get stronger! I can’t let the gap between me and Advika get bigger," Katherine declared, a fierce determination in her eyes.

"Same," Chloe affirmed, a resolute nod.

"So it’s a deal!"

The two girls sealed their pact with a nod, while Bella, oblivious to their serious conversation, gazed at them in confusion.

The commander watched the scene unfold, a satisfied smile spreading across his face. "This girl will surely help us against the sky stage beast." He leaned back in his seat, a sense of relief washing over him. "I was here being worried, thinking we would have a hard time against a sky stage beast... I didn’t know there were such powerful kids in our academy... Howard did a good job."

"Yes... I am also surprised," Zenith agreed, her gaze fixed on Christopher.

Everyone in the arena watched as Advika advanced towards Tori, her eyes cold and unwavering. "I suggest you take your beasts, or they will die."

Tori rubbed her earrings, and with a flash of light, her three injured beasts transformed into trails of light, soaring back into her earrings.

"I admit it, you are strong," Tori’s voice was dangerously low, laced with suppressed fury. "You even injured my friends without mercy... I don’t care if there’s any rule in this competition." She pointed a trembling finger at Advika. "I won’t back down till I leave a mark on you." Her hiss was barely audible as the wind around her began to pick up speed.

"Is that!!"

The announcer, sensing the escalating tension, quickly waved his hand, conjuring a massive barrier that enveloped the two competitors. The energy emanating from Tori was clearly no laughing matter.

BOOOM!

A mini tornado formed, spinning furiously around Tori, completely engulfing her figure.

"Today! I will go all out!!" she screamed, thrusting her hand forward. "Go!!"

The tornado instantly shot forward, a swirling vortex of raw power, hurtling towards Advika.

"Such weak skill!" Advika scoffed, a horizontal slash of her sword effortlessly dispersing the raging tornado.

"Die!" Tori erupted from the shattered remnants of the tornado, launching a direct punch straight at Advika’s face.

".....?!"

BAM!!!!!

A deafening sound wave rippled across the arena, smashing heavily against the protective barrier.

"This?!" Tori stared at her fist, which had connected squarely on Advika’s cheek.

"That! She didn’t even take a step backward!" Mariana exclaimed in horror, her voice filled with disbelief.

"This is impossible, I can’t feel any iron in her," Zack muttered, his brow furrowed in confusion.

"There are no to none iron in flames... If Tori doesn’t back down, she will get injured," Tony stated calmly, his gaze fixed on the unfolding battle.

"You! Can’t she win?!" Zack demanded, turning to their captain.

"Win? Tori is just a legendary level at the peak stage, but her opponent is now a master level peak stage! Even if a miracle happened, she won’t win," Tony replied with an indifferent tone that made Zack question if Tori was even his twin sister.

"Is that all??" Advika’s voice was laced with an almost bored inquiry.

Tori swiftly leaped backward, attempting to gain distance, but before she could land, Advika flashed, appearing instantly behind her and delivering a sharp punch.

BAM!!

The punch connected with Tori’s back, sending her spewing a mouthful of blood as she flew forward, smashing heavily onto the ground.

BAM!

Advika landed gracefully on her feet, her sword still clutched in her hand. "If I want you dead, you will be a corpse by now... Surrender, you can’t win me," she said calmly.

Tori shakily pushed herself up from the ground, spitting out the blood in her mouth, her gaze locked on Advika. "In all my life, no one has beat me into this state." She opened her palm.

WHOOSH!

Advika and the entire audience watched in stunned silence as long spears, crafted from pure wind, materialized behind Tori.

"Go!!"

Whoosh!!

Thousands of wind arrows shot forward with deadly speed, all aimed directly at Advika.

"You are really stubborn," Advika said, the flames in her eyes burning with increased ferocity. With every step she took, her skin began to peel away.

"....?!!"

Everyone in the arena was stunned, staring in disbelief as Advika’s skin flaked and peeled off.

"This?!" Anna instantly became alert, but Sylvia gently held her back.

"What are you doing, Mum?!" Sylvia asked, a slight frown on her face.

"Can’t you see what is happening to your sister?!!" Anna yelled, her voice laced with panic.

"Look at big sister, is she in pain?" Sylvia countered.

Anna’s gaze snapped back to Advika. Not a single frown marred her face, leaving Anna speechless.

"I believe that is one of big sister’s skills," Sylvia added calmly.

Anna slowly nodded, her body relaxing, though a hint of worry still lingered in her eyes.

Sylvia sighed, remaining silent.

’Can she control that form?’ Christopher asked Tiamat, who had appeared beside him, her phantom form shimmering.

"She destroyed a small mountain on the red zone when she used that form," Tiamat stated, folding her arms across her chest.

’She lost control then,’ Christopher noted, a frown creasing his brow.

"True... This is a competition, so for her to use this form means she can hold it," Tiamat said with a nod.

Christopher stared at Advika, who was now completely enveloped in a roaring inferno of flames.

Advika stretched forth her hand towards the wind spears, and before the stunned audience, they suddenly combusted into flames. With a twirl of her hand, the flaming spears executed a perfect 360-degree turn, and shot back towards Tori.

"....This?!"

Tori was paralyzed with horror, frozen as the now flaming spears hurtled towards her head.

WHOOSH!!!!

A figure flashed into existence, and the spears froze mid-air, an inch from Tony’s skull.

"...?!"

The entire arena was flabbergasted.

"Brother." Tori sighed in immense relief.

"She surrendered, there is no need to damage her soul!" Tony’s voice was cold, his gaze fixed on Advika.

"....?!"

"Damage my soul?" Tori was stunned.

Advika stared at him for a few seconds, then clenched her fingers, and the flaming spears dissipated into smoke. "Disrupting the competition will lead to disqualification... You know that, right?" she asked coldly.

"I know," Tony nodded.

"You know? Your academy will be disqualified from the competition," she added, her voice unwavering. "You will all lose."

Tony gritted his teeth, but nodded again. "I know."

"Then why still do it?" she asked again.

"If your sister is in this situation, what will you do?" Tony asked, his gaze fixed on her.

Advika blinked, and the flames engulfing her subsided, disappearing entirely, leaving her in her school uniform. She turned to Christopher, who gave her a subtle nod. Without another word, she raised her head to the announcer.

"Will the Guardian Academy be disqualified?" she asked.

"Well... Yes! Breaking the rules is not allowed in this competition, so they will instantly be disqualified!"

Zack could only grit his teeth, his fists clenched. ’Shit!’

"Brother--"

"--It is okay... You are more important than any competition," Tony said, cutting Tori off.

"Can I change that rule?!" Advika’s words stunned the entire arena, even the announcer was taken aback.

"What?" he asked, confusion clear in his voice.

"The Guardian Academy shouldn’t be disqualified... Winning this way isn’t honorable," she declared.

"Isn’t honorable? When did she start thinking about honor?" Christopher muttered, a hint of confusion in his tone.

"You gave her the go button, why are you shocked?" Tiamat asked with a smile.

"I know... But her words are weird," he said, a small smile playing on his lips.

"What is Advika doing?! If the Guardian Academy is disqualified! It is a straight win for us!" Mariana yelled, her voice filled with frustration.

"True..." Christopher turned to face her. "We will win, and later... The world will say the Guardian Academy lost because Tony rushed to save his sister... The Vitality Academy only took first place because the Guardian Academy was disqualified. If they weren’t... They won’t get that score! What will you say then?" he challenged.

Stella, standing close by and having overheard Christopher’s words, raised an eyebrow. Mariana stood speechless.

"No! Why would our victory be--"

"---Don’t act like you haven’t seen the world," Christopher cut her off, his words a cold dose of reality.

"...?"

The announcer turned his head to the governor, then scanned the audience, and finally sighed. "There is a rule, which I personally exempted... When a team is disqualified by breaking the rules, the other team will hold a vote, anyone with the highest vote if they should stay or leave. The highest vote wins! The Guardian Academy won’t participate in this vote, only the other teams, the ones still standing."

He explained, then turned to Stella, Scarlett, and Mountain.

"Okay then, raise your hand if you want the Guardian Academy to continue. Think quietly, and you are allowed to be selfish! Think before raising your hand!" he yelled.

Tori and Tony watched in surprised silence as Advika raised her hand, followed by Christopher. Mariana gritted her teeth, but eventually, also raised her hand.

The announcer nodded, then turned to the other three.

Stella stared at Tony for a few moments, then slowly raised her hand.

The announcer nodded again and turned to Scarlett and Mountain.

"What about both of you?"
