Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World -
Chapter 243 243: Refined Metal Pieces
"Zabita, I don't think it'll work," Olivia said.
She and Zabita currently walked next to each other, moving toward a vast clearing that was just beyond the forest.
Boh walked in their humanoid forms, taking the appearance of two different naked women.
Olivia had the appearance of a slightly chubby and busty woman. Her breasts were large, probably the largest among the other lionesses in humanoid forms.
Beneath those large breasts was a moderate amount of belly fat that was a result of her chubbiness.
The sensuality was the same for her thighs, they were equally large and complimented the big buttocks she had behind her.
Every movement caused her butt and breasts to jiggle in a mesmerizing manner. They moved in such a captivating way that it would have distracted the most focused human men, even if for a moment.
Her face was above average, with a round face, puffy cheeks, and small lips. Her eyes were a pale yellow and shone with alertness and a bit of mischief.
On her head, she had wavy blonde hair like Kael. They stopped just above her shoulder.
All in all, she had a nice appearance that would definitely be attractive to a lot of lions. She was lucky.
The other humanoid female beside her, Zabita, was much different in terms of demeanor, aura, personality, and appearance.
Zabita was slim, with fewer curves than the others. She had pale skin like someone who was suffering from a sickness or nutrient deficiency.
Her eyes were dark, focused, and somewhat lazy-looking. Her eyelids hung half-closed, making her look extremely bored like she was about to fall asleep. Straight black hair fell from her head and down to the center of her back, looking like a black waterfall.
She even had a small amount of cosmetics on her face, a black lip gloss that Nalii had procured for her.
Both Zabita and Olivia had the standard lion traits, lion ears, and lion tails.
But when it came to their claws, Zabita's long and sharp fingernails constantly released a glint that was reflected by the sun.
Her nails were metallic with a silver color to them. The edges glinted silently with the cold light of a blade that would tear through anything.
"It should, if we can deal with their leader, then the rest of the herd should fall in line," Zabita said casually as they continued walking.
"But each of them is comparable to a tier 4 lion, my fortune will barely have any effect on them," Olivia said with a frown forming on her face.
"Not exactly, you just need to counter that Fortune Elephant long enough for the snakes to strike the fatal blow. Remember, they may know of our presence but I don't think they know our intentions.
They would never expect anyone to attack them with their power base," Zabita said.
"That's an assumption, Zabita," Olivia said.
"And I might be right," Zabita smiled, "Let's do this and get out of here, Kael could be back at any moment,"
Hearing this, Olivia's eyes brightened.
They had felt that pulse.
"That's them?" Zabita said as the two pride sisters moved to the very edge of the forest. The area they were in had little trees and the land had become flatter.
This was the place that joined the forest terrain to the wild plains, at least a part of it. The forest border was large and stretched so far that no one knew how long it was exactly.
Less than a kilometer away from them was a herd of elephants, about fifty of them, gathered together and wandering aimlessly along the forest's border.
Seeing the herd of colossal, long-nosed, and temperamental creatures, Olivia had to stop in her tracks.
"What is it?" Zabita asked with a raised eyebrow, "Are you scared?"
"Yes," Olivia nodded, "Yes I am," she said. "I can already sense the power of fortune from here, and I'm sure she can also sense me,"
"Hmm," Zabita paused, this was a problem.
"Have you wondered what would happen if this assassination was successful?" Olivia suddenly asked as she turned to Zabita.
"We move on," Zabita answered immediately, she didn't think twice about it.
The only reason she was here in the first place was because Katari wasn't healthy and available to do it. If not, Katari was the best person to 'persuade' these elephants to submit.
"By assassination?" Olivia confirmed?
Zabita didn't answer immediately, "Yes," She finally said, "We need to eliminate the leaders and make the whole herd more susceptible to our control."
Olivia sighed, she was just looking for an excuse not to go. She wasn't as fearless as Katari, or smart as N'bayé, or as strong as Diane. She was pretty much ordinary if her fortune power was subtracted.
She had every reason to be afraid.
Usually, her fortune powers ensured that she would be able to come out of any conflict mostly unscathed. This was partly because she had never encountered another creature with the fortune power like her.
This was the first time she would be coming face to face with another creature like her, a creature that could very well cause her death if she wasn't careful.
What was most hateful to her right now was that this Fortune Elephant was clearly stronger than her.
"Well, since she can detect you, there is no point hiding," Zabita said with a narrowed gaze as she returned her eyes to the moving elephant herd.
"Let's go head-on," Zabita's claws brushed against each other, producing a crisp ring that echoed into their ears.
"What?" Olivia's eyes widened.
"We'll fight them head-on and give the snakes time to position themselves for the killing blow," Zabita confirmed with a nod.
"Are you serious, we are meant to supervise, nothing more than that. We could die, you know!" Olivia completely lost her humorous demeanor and became serious.
Zabita rolled her eyes at her pride sister's worries, "Olivia, you're making me talk too much and I don't like it," She said, half joking and half serious.
"We don't have to stand and wait for them to kill us, you know that right? We can just use the hot and run tactic, keep their attention on us so that they don't suspect anything," Zabita added.
"Hit and run?" Olivia scoffed and folded her hands, "Are you forgetting that I don't have that much of a combat ability?"
"Olivia, please! Every lioness has combat ability, even if it's small," Zabita retorted.
"I didn't say I don't have any ability to fight, I'm saying I would die if I attempted to," Olivia shot back.
"Oh well, you'll have to push yourself to the limit," Zabita said, finally revealing a smirk.
Behind her quiet, nonchalant, and introverted personality has always been a rebellious and daring lioness with an iron will.
Zabita raised her hand up, causing tiny pieces of refined metal to rise from the ground or flow from the trees.
She had been hiding pieces of refined metal here for some time, stylishly inserting them into the soil or hiding them behind trees.
"Wait, stop!" Olivia panicked as she realized what Zabita was about to do.
"Hmm," Zabita didn't say anything, instead, the pieces of refined metal began to gather around her and Olivia. The metal pieces rotated in a circular formation, following Zabita's magnetic orbit.
Olivia took a step back subconsciously, she could already guess that some eyes were focused on them.
The refined metal kept on coming, forming a cloud of grey metal pieces that reflected the light of the sun and attracted a lot of attention.
Each of these refined metal pieces was the size of a human finger or less, none were bigger than that. This was according to Zabita's preference.
The pieces of refined metal sound faster, producing an alien sound that would feel uncomfortable to the ears of anyone listening to it.
"Kael doesn't like recklessness!" Olivia shouted at Zabita.
"He also doesn't like weakness," Zabita returned.
She then waved her right hand in the direction of the elephant herd, disregarding Olivia's protest.
In response to her action, a chunk of the refined metal pieces surged out of the mass and combined to form a metal blade.
This metal blade was crude, having a length of three meters and having an extremely rough body. The edges were serrated due to being a combination of many small metal pieces.
The metal blade hovered to the side of Zabita and her moving mass of small metal pieces.
"If we don't make a move now, that will mean we will have to retreat and wait for N'bayé or Kael to come and help us out," Zabita stated with a nonchalant expression.
"Besides, I can also test out the full extent of my powers, don't you think?"
Zabita didn't wait for Olivia to give her a response, she clicked her fingers, causing the metal blade to shoot forth like an arrow shot from an invisible bow.
The metal blade emitted a screeching sound as it tore through the air and headed straight for one of the elephants.
