Chapter 53: Chapter 51: Someone from Far Away

*(An orc...?)* I asked, confused.

*(Yes... He collapsed as soon as he arrived... and it looks like he’s poisoned... because his head and chest are purple...)* Bokkon’s voice echoed in my mind.

My eyes widened, and in an instant, a portal appeared behind me. I stepped through it, leaving King Altabet, Aurthor, and Gearor behind in stunned silence. I reappeared in a room where Bokkon, Yooto, and Lunara stood, their expressions tense. In the center of the room, a massive figure lay on a bed—an orc. Its ears and nose were pig-like, and its body was covered in dust, with faint purple patches on its head and chest.

"La-lady Sumi?" Bokkon stammered, looking at me in confusion.

I looked at Bokkon then Aries speaks

**[Notice: Bokkon is infected,]** Aries said urgently.

Without hesitation, I rushed to Bokkon, grabbing his arm. "Wha—!" he gasped, startled.

I pulled him back and raised my other hand, summoning the green liquid of **Bloom**. I smashed it into his mouth, forcing him to swallow it. He fell to the ground, coughing and spluttering covering his mouth with his hand.

"Wh-what was that for?!" he asked, his voice filled with confusion and shock.

I ignored him for a moment, turning my attention to the orc. Its breathing was labored, and the purple patches on its body were spreading slowly.

**[The virus’s effects have just started on it,]** Aries informed me.

I raised my hand again, summoning another **Bloom** orb. I launched it at the orc, and as it hits the orc its body began to glow green. The purple patches faded, and the orc’s eyes slowly fluttered open.

Lunara stepped in front of me, her stance protective. "Master, be careful," she said, her voice firm looking at the orc seriously.

Bokkon and Yooto also moved to shield me, their expressions wary.

"We don’t know if it’s an ally or a foe," Lunara said, her tone serious.

The orc sat up, clutching its head. Its eyes darted around the room he saw Lunara Bokkon and Yooto before landing on me. "White hair... but red eyes..." it muttered, its voice deep and gravelly.

It grabbed its chest, its expression shifting from confusion to relief. "My chest pain... my headache... they’re gone!"

Bokkon stepped forward, his voice stern. "Who are you, and why are you here?"

The orc looked at him, its eyes shining with gratitude. Lunara, however, wasn’t as patient. "Answer the question, you pig," she snapped.

I placed a hand on Lunara’s mouth, silencing her. "You don’t have to be that disrespectful, Lunara," I said gently looking at her.

She looked at me, her expression serious. "But Master... you can see it too, right?"

I nodded, my gaze fixed on the orc. A thick, purple aura emanated from its body, burning like fire. Yet, its face was oddly gentle, almost innocent.

The orc spoke again, its voice calm.

"You don’t have to worry... this killing intent isn’t for you."

We all stared at him, confused. He continued, "And I’m surprised you can see my aura... it should be hidden from normal people."

Lunara stepped forward, her voice sharp. "Who said we’re normal people? I’m a Shadow Born, and she—" she pointed at me—"is the Goddess of Paradise."

The orc’s eyes widened in realization. He dropped to his knees, bowing his head. "I apologize for not recognizing you... I heard the Goddess has green eyes, so I couldn’t tell..."

I stepped forward, ignoring Lunara and Bokkon’s protests they looked at me in confusion and shock. "Raise your head," I said softly.

He looked up at me, his expression a mix of fear and hope. "Goddess of Paradise... please... save my tribe. The orcs are in danger... You are the only hope for us demi-humans. We can’t trust humans... Please..."

Lunara, Bokkon, and Yooto exchanged uneasy glances. I frowned, my voice firm. "Save your tribe?"

The orc nodded, his voice trembling

"A few weeks ago, unknown creatures attacked our land. They look like undead... Their numbers are overwhelming, and they’re relentless. We can kill them in one hit, but they just come back... over and over again. And when they damage us... our bodies start to change. Our heads and chests turn purple, like a slime... The infected don’t die... they just suffer endlessly. We had no choice but to kill our own people to free them from the pain... We were losing... Then we remember about you—the Great Goddess who saves demi-humans like us. So four days ago, I left my land to find you... Please... save us."

The room fell silent. Aries’ voice echoed in my mind. **[He’s not lying... He traveled four days without stopping, even while infected with the virus.]**

I clenched my fists, my expression grim. Aries continued, **[The creatures he mentioned could be the source of the virus.]**

Bokkon broke the silence, his voice filled with disbelief. "You mean you traveled from the other side of Mount Zeaveon?!"

The orc nodded. *(That’s almost 200 kilometers... Orcs really do have strong bodies,)* I thought.

I looked at the orc, my voice steady. "Alright... I understand your problem, and I’m willing to help... for now."

Lunara, Bokkon, and Yooto stared at me in shock. I continued, "Lunara, Bokkon, Yooto—go outside and tell everyone in the country to stay inside their homes. No one should leave under any circumstances. There’s something dangerous out there... I’ll explain later. For now, just do as I say."

They hesitated but nodded, leaving the room. Lunara vanished into the shadows, while Bokkon and Yooto hurried outside.

I turned back to the orc. "Thank you, Goddess Sumi... Our tribe will be forever in your debt," he said, his voice filled with gratitude.

I shook my head. "What’s your name?"

"My name is Rise," he replied.

I nodded. "Rise... I’m not doing this for free. I’ll ask for something in return... but for now, take me to your tribe. If you want to save them, we don’t have time to waste."
