Chapter 54: Chapter 52: Danger!

Somewhere in a desert-like land, there was an area filled with houses made out of yellow rocks and pillars. But no one was inside the houses—there were no humans. Only orcs. And they were all hiding inside, trembling in fear.

A little far from the area, a battle was raging between the orcs and a strange creature.

The creatures had purple bodies with no eyes. Their forms were almost like slime, yet they stood on two legs.

"Fireeee!!" a huge orc wearing silver armor screamed he was the commander.

He stood atop a massive wall, the last defense protecting them from the creatures. The creatures tried to climb the wall, but from above, many orcs lifted huge boulders and hurled them down, crushing the attackers.

Some creatures, however, managed to climb up. Orc warriors rushed towards them, wielding swords and spears, cutting them down into pieces.

But then, suddenly—

"Ugh!"

One of the orcs behind the commander fell to the ground.

The commander quickly turned and saw that the orc’s head was turning purple. His eyes widened in shock. Then, he heard the sounds coming from below. When he looked down, his breath hitched—

The entire ground was covered with the creatures. There were too many.

The commander fell to his knees, turning back to look at the battlefield. Many other orcs lay on the ground, their chests and heads also turning purple.

He sat there silently, his face filled with despair. He had given up.

The other orcs saw this and were shocked.

"C-Commander...?" one of them called out.

The commander removed his helmet and placed it on the ground. He finally noticed—his own head was also turning purple.

In a small, sad voice, he muttered,

"Are we going to die like this...? Is our tribe going to be wiped out like this...?"

He turned back and looked down at the creatures.

One of them had already climbed up. It lunged at him.

"Commanderrr!!!" one of the orcs screamed.

The commander closed his eyes and whispered,

"I’m sorry, everyone... I’m sorry... Rise..."

But then—

A voice echoed through the battlefield.

"Push"

A massive pressure swept through the area. The creatures that had climbed up were instantly reduced to dust.

The commander’s eyes shot open in shock.

Then, the voice spoke again.

"Fall"

A second, even greater pressure crashed down from above. The creatures below were instantly obliterated, exploding into countless pieces.

The orcs stood frozen, their faces filled with confusion and disbelief.

The commander slowly got to his feet and looked down.

All that remained was a massive crater where the creatures had been.

"What...?" The commander gasped.

Then, he heard the sound of fabric fluttering in the wind.

He slowly raised his head—and saw me.

I was floating high in the air, my hand still raised from casting Fall Magic.

The commander stared at me in shock and confusion.

"Who... is that...?" he murmured.

Then, suddenly—

"Commander Orcen!"

He turned toward the voice.

It was... Rise.

Commander Orcen’s eyes widened in disbelief. His voice shook.

"R-R-Rise...? If you’re alive... then that means—"

In an instant, he turned his gaze back to me.

I slowly turned around to face them, my glowing red eyes piercing through the battlefield.

Orcen stood there silently, staring at me.

I raised my hand. In a small voice, I said—

"Bloom."

A green liquid ball appeared in my hand, then floated into the sky. It split into countless smaller orbs, which shot down and struck the orcs.

As soon as they touched, the orcs’ bodies glowed green. The liquid spread to the fallen orcs on the ground as well.

Their chests and heads returned to normal.

Orcen clutched his head.

"The pain... it’s gone..." he whispered.

Rise ran up to him, his voice shaking.

"Commander Orcen! Are you okay?"

Orcen looked at him, still in shock. In a small voice, he asked—

"R-Rise... you’re... alive...?"

Then, he heard voices from below.

He slowly looked down—and saw the orcs who had been suffering in agony now standing, one by one.

Rise placed a hand on his shoulder. With a proud smile, he said—

"Commander... I did it... She... the Goddess is here."

Orcen’s eyes widened. Slowly, he looked up at me again.

I hovered in the air, my red eyes glowing, my hair and clothes swaying in the wind.

Orcen raised his hand, pointing at me. Then—

With a loud roar, he shouted.

The other orcs turned. One by one, they fell to their knees, tears streaming down their faces, their expressions filled with relief and admiration.

Meanwhile, in the Supreme Court, above the clouds—

Three Supremes sat in a grand chamber. A massive golden table stood between them.

Gaizon spoke first, his voice serious.

"This thing... could be the end of humanity."

Beside him, Mira held Eli in her arms. She spoke, her tone grim.

"This curse is spreading rapidly... Many countries’ people are getting infected and suffering..."

Gaizon closed his eyes. Then, in a grave voice, he said—

"Except for two."

Mira furrowed her brows.

"Sir Gaizon?"

Gaizon continued,

"The Kingdom of Steller and Paradise Garden... all thanks to Sumi Hana."

Mira’s expression changed. She clenched her teeth, her eyes darkening with anger.

"Oh, that girl..." she hissed.

Gaizon nodded and continued.

"She discovered the cure for the curse. I’ve heard reports that she has already healed many people in Steller Kingdom. We have no other choice... but to ask for her help to save humanity."

Mira gritted her teeth, gripping the table in frustration.

"I don’t even want to talk to her after how she disrespected us last time... But... if it’s to save others... I suppose I will join you, Sir Gaizon."

Gaizon smiled at her response. Then, he turned to the third Supreme—Shiro—who had been sitting silently, his brown hair covering his eyes.

"What do you say, Shiro?" Gaizon asked.

Shiro lifted his head slightly. In a small voice, he replied—

"Well... if that’s your decision... how can I disagree, Sir Gaizon?"

Gaizon stood up.

"Alright then. As the Supremes, we must do everything in our power to protect our people—no matter what."

Mira smirked.

Shiro, however, remained silent, resting his chin on his hand as he gazed upward.

A small smile appeared on his lips.
