Chapter 75: She Knows Future!

"I am sorry! I should not judge you that easily." Olivia bowed her head feeling guilty. Her memories of the past were colluding in her mind.

If not for them, she would not have accused Damon. But she would have waited and given him a chance to explain first. He was not the demon he would be in the future.. She could change his future too. She could save him from being one.

"I was thinking too much. You must have hated me, those maids and everyone around you for treating you like this."

"...." Damon watched her coldly. He had felt a strange stiffness in his chest. But as he looked at her face full of grief, he closed his eyes. Suddenly his chest felt lighter.

"I was not planning to scold you, I apologize. It is normal for you to doubt me considering my image." His words only made her feel remorse. They both knew that Oriana had spread rumors against him, ruining his image.

She had portrayed Damon as a war manic, hungry for blood and demons and much more.

"I..." Olivia did not know how to continue. She took a deep breath. "No matter what, I made a mistake, and I apologize for it." Damon looked away.

Looking at her sincere face, he felt a strange relief in his heart. It did not matter what she thought about him, she was not his ally. When he looked back at her again, his face was cold and serene.

"Are you planning to marry the second prince, aunt?" Olvia flinched at the word. They were only three years apart!

"Yes! I am indeed planning to marry the second prince." Olivia nodded, earning a chuckle from him.

"So you want to join politics at last. For the past seven years, you were living so freely. I was even fooled that you have no interest in power and wealth." His words were said in a light voice but she could see his eyes staring at her intently. Like a beast who had found its prey.

Olivia felt a shudder in her spine. She held her dress tightly.

"I did not know that you were noticing me, Damon. I thought you were ignorant of my presence. I... if i have stayed the same, would you have still killed me when you got the chance." here she goes again! Damon frowned. He did not understand why the girl was so sure that he was going to kill everyone.

Here he was even hesitating to kill the duke after suffering so much.

"Your words prove that I am a sinner, Aunt. i thought they think i am a hero." he laughed softly but his eyes only got colder. "You think so poorly of me."

Olivia could laugh and end this dangerous conversation. It was not time to open her cards. She could marry Edward and strengthen her position. Then she did not need to be afraid of him at all.

But the image of Damon in her mind seems to be overlapping with Damon in front of her. It left her breathless for a second.

"Killing is not a solution anyway." she spoke in a firm voice, "i have other means to help you get your position."

"...." Damon stared hard at her stunned for a second. He did not know how to reply, but he got his composure soon.

"I do not understand you." Olivia did not mind his caution. It showed that he still had reasonable left in his mind.

He was not pushed to the limit where he did not care about anything but knew only killing.

"The position of duke should belong to you. If I married the second prince and got power, I would support you instead of Leo to be the next duke." her voice was filled with such sincerity that Damon blinked and then.. He laughed.

"Ha! Hahahahahaha!" he laughed so hard that Olivbia flushed and felt embarrassed.

"Why? Why are you laughing?" she complained. "Do you think I will not get the position of second princess?"

"No, of course, not!" he shook his head instantly, "with the efforts you are putting..." his eyes lingered on her bare shoulders and cleavage, "i am sure the second prince would soon accept you as his lover. After all, you have a good teacher to guide you." his voice was filled with mockery and Olivia flushed further.

She cleared her throat knowing he was talking about Oriana’s efforts to seduce the duke.

"But why would you help me and leave your nephew behind?" his eyes went dark, and he leaned slowly.

Olivia felt that she could not breath for a second when she felt his intent eyes staring at her soul.

"Because Leo never wants to take your position. He only wants to support you by being part of the knights or working as your aide.

You can even send him to the main estare and he will handle it for you." Damon was good at reading people. He had been fooled by so many since he was a child, that he had always been cautious.

But as he looked at Olivia, he was not sure what she was thinking. What she wanted from him. And this uncertainty irked him. He wanted to scold her but she did not give him a chance.

So he could only test her.

"Leo is a child but you are an adult. An adult controlled by the duchess. Do you think she would let you support me? Or are you going to feign ignorance till the end?" Olivia felt uneasy when he laughed.

She took a deep breath.

"My sister did not need to know. When his grace would.. Die! She had no choice but to bow in front of you. At that time, me and the second prince would support you." she had seen it through. As she explained her plan, his eyes shone with surprise.

"How are you so sure that my father is going to die!?"
