"What have you done?" Gabriella glared at her son as if she wanted to tear him apart. It was close to morning, but she did not even wink. The moment the party ended, she went straight to confront her son. "Did i not clear myself enough that i want isabella to be your partner. How could you hurt her?" her eyes shooting daggers at her husband.

"I want you to attack Amber Lenhart and avenge Isabella’s insult. Only then would the marquis accept me as his son in law. Can I trust you over the subject?" he noticed how Reynold stiffened for a second. But when their eyes met, Reynold nodded at once.

"I can sacrifice my life for you, your highness." The man bowed and left the room.

The other knight stood there horrified.

"Your highness, killing lady Lenhart! It is too dangerous. If your mistake is proven, a territorial war would start in the palace." Edward turned toward the other knight and sighed.

"Go and keep an eye on Reynold. His every action must be informed to me without delay. And if he really attacked, lady Lenhart. Kill him on the spot."

"..." the knight was dumbfounded. He did not understand what Edward wanted to do? If he did not want Amber Lenhart dead, why did he issue such a command to his most loyal staff.

"He chose to go with Isabella Lenhart just after dancing with you! Can you explain why?" Olivia stood with her head lowered, Oriana had a red and cold face as she glared at her sister.
