Chapter 618: Chapter 618: Abigail, Don’t Look at Me Like That

Abigail Green’s gaze delighted Brandon Piers.

Brandon, who had been worried that Abigail would become estranged from him after Jeffrey Foster left, now felt that weight lifted off his heart.

But being stared at so passionately by Abigail, Brandon couldn’t bear it. His Adam’s apple bobbed slightly. "Abigail..."

"Yes?" Abigail subconsciously responded while looking at him.

"Don’t look at me like that." Brandon had long realized he couldn’t handle his little fatty’s teasing, especially with her gaze so intense that it seemed to want to devour him.

Hearing the obvious affection in his voice, Abigail finally became aware of what she was thinking. She quickly withdrew her gaze and pretended to tuck a stray strand of hair behind her ear, not realizing that this casual motion was extremely alluring to Brandon.

Brandon stared at Abigail’s exposed earlobe.

After a period of recuperation, Abigail’s skin had gradually become fairer, especially her earlobe, which had always been hidden under her hair. Now revealed, it was round and tender, unchanged from before. Brandon couldn’t help but smile and gently pinched it. "This is the only place where you’ve not lost any meat."

In his tone, there was a deep sense of affection mixed with a bit of regret.

Abigail chuckled, placing her hand over his. "Do you really like chubby girls that much?"

"Not necessarily." Before meeting Abigail, Brandon never imagined he would fall for a chubby girl. But after meeting her, he thought whether she’s chubby or thin, as long as it’s her, he would be content.

Previously, he didn’t think much about supporting her weight loss. With her by his side every day, the weight loss was gradual, and visually, it wasn’t that noticeable. Unlike these past three months when he hadn’t seen her, she had abruptly shed nearly forty pounds.

The sweet, chubby girl he had raised suddenly transformed into a skinny twig. It was hard for anyone to adjust quickly.

Especially the last time they video-called, she exposed part of her arm, and he didn’t recognize her at first.

Fortunately, her skin had become slightly fairer over the past few days. As for the face, it could slowly regain some fullness.

More than beauty, he hoped his little fatty would be healthy.

Abigail noticed Brandon’s gaze wandering over her body. She asked warily, "What are you doing?"

"Nothing." Brandon certainly wouldn’t reveal his nurturing plan. Instead, he grasped her outstretched hand and gently pulled her into his embrace. Pressing his lips to her ear, he whispered, "Abigail, let’s never break up again, okay?"

His words made Abigail’s eyes redden. She lowered her head and bit his shoulder. "That depends on your performance."

"I will try my best. But even if I don’t do well, we still can’t break up." Brandon said in a muffled tone, feeling that his little fatty was as weak as a kitten. He even added, "Bite harder."

It needed to be harder to feel real.

Hearing this, Abigail bit down with more force and angrily said, "You’ve already found an excuse before you even started performing?"

"No, I just worry that I’m too clumsy and might upset you." Brandon, remembering his earlier humiliation orchestrated by Jeffrey Foster and regretting the things he said to Abigail, felt both remorseful and annoyed. He wanted to hug her tightly but was mindful of her injuries, so he held her gently.

Brandon’s earnest words made Abigail understand that he wasn’t really clumsy. If he was, then who could be considered smart? He just cared too much about her.

A man like him would only become flustered and clumsy when he cared deeply about someone.

"Then every time you upset me in the future, I’ll bite you," Abigail intentionally said.

"You can bite me as many times as you want." Brandon showed a trace of joy on his face. Did this mean his little fatty was no longer mad at him?

Abigail bit his shoulder again, but ultimately, she couldn’t bear to hurt him.

Brandon then pushed his luck. "Abigail, since you already bit me, does that mean you’ve forgiven me? Are we reconciled?"

Abigail sensed the joy in his voice and reluctantly responded, "Hmm."

Upon hearing that, Brandon immediately let her go and looked intensely into her eyes. "Really?"

Abigail laughed. "What’s there to be real or not... hmm..."

Before she could finish speaking, Brandon kissed her passionately.

And this time, the kiss was more intense than any before.

As the kiss deepened, both of them started to lose control, but unfortunately, neither the situation nor their surroundings allowed it.

Brandon finally let go of her reluctantly. "Do you remember what you said the night we sang?"

Abigail vaguely remembered but wasn’t about to admit it.

"I don’t remember. How could I recall such a detail?" Abigail, still breathless from the kiss, blushed, trying to hide her guilty conscience.

Brandon didn’t care whether she remembered or not. "It’s okay, I remember. You said you would make it up to me for that night. So when will that be?"

"Did I say that? No way. Don’t take advantage of my memory loss." Abigail turned her head away, avoiding his burning gaze. But denying it made her laugh first.

Seeing this, Brandon pulled her into his embrace, laughing.

Aunt Claudia and Juliet Rosa, struggling to manage the mischievous Teddy, entered the room and immediately sensed a change between Brandon and Abigail. They couldn’t pinpoint exactly what had changed until Teddy wanted Abigail to hold him, and Brandon intervened. Soon after, Abigail frowned. "Aunt Claudia, you and Juliet should play with Teddy nearby."

Juliet quickly took Teddy from Brandon’s arms and then heard their young mistress say with concern, "Your back injury is quite serious. You can’t hold heavy objects for long periods. If it tears again, it won’t heal easily."

Hearing this, Brandon’s handsome face lit up with a smile. Even Aunt Claudia and Juliet were a bit dazzled by it.

Then the two women suddenly realized that Brandon and Abigail had finally reconciled.

So they played with Teddy while giving Abigail and Brandon knowing smiles.

Everyone had been worried about them, and now seeing them reconcile brought a collective sigh of relief.

Seeing Brandon’s smile and Aunt Claudia and Juliet’s reactions, Abigail realized what she had said and awkwardly turned her face away from him.

Brandon leaned close to her ear. "My little fatty finally knows how to show concern."

"Who’s a little fatty?" She wasn’t fat anymore.

"Him." Brandon unhesitatingly pointed at Teddy, who was crawling toward them again.

Abigail: "..." Seriously?

Little fatty didn’t understand. Seeing both parents looking at him, he turned around and sat on the ground, raising his little hands. "Mama hold, Daddy hold."

"Climb by yourself." The man who was just sweet and tender suddenly changed his tone, ruthlessly refusing.

Aunt Claudia and Juliet, "..." Brandon just enjoyed teasing Teddy!
