Chapter 617: Chapter 617: I Have a Shameless Idea

Jeffrey Foster looked at Abigail with gentle eyes, realizing he had been a mistake from birth and had continued to make many incorrect decisions throughout his life.

But he admitted defeat.

His bleak life had nothing worth holding on to, and if he couldn’t even afford to lose, it would make him even more of a joke.

"Abigail, I’m leaving." Jeffrey finally spoke again after a long silence.

Abigail’s eyes tightened uncontrollably. She knew he had nowhere to go but couldn’t find the words to dissuade him or comfort him.

"Abigail, don’t forgive me." Jeffrey looked at Abigail’s expression. He knew the girl he loved had a soft heart, so before leaving, he wanted to tell her not to forgive him.

If she didn’t forgive him, she might remember him.

He didn’t want to be forgotten by her.

For some reason, Abigail felt a swelling in her heart upon hearing this. "I..."

"Alright, I’m leaving." Jeffrey didn’t want Abigail to feel uncomfortable. Finishing with a deliberate casual wave, his eyes lingered on Abigail before finally moving away with difficulty. Then he turned around.

What he really wanted to say was, Abigail, I love you, very much, more than you could imagine.

But he no longer had the right to speak of love. Those four months of time were stolen.

However, even those four months were enough for him to reminisce repeatedly, supporting him to continue living.

Abigail watched the man’s lonely figure, her heart aching. "Brother..."

Jeffrey’s body trembled briefly but didn’t stop. He opened the door and walked out.

Brandon Piers glanced at Jeffrey while he pushed the door open and walked in. "Abigail..."

There was a hint of tension in his voice.

Even though he was very aware that Abigail no longer loved Jeffrey, every time Jeffrey got close to her, Brandon felt uneasy.

Abigail detected the subtle emotion in Brandon’s voice. Looking at the man’s sharply defined handsome face, she suddenly called out, "Brandon."

Brandon’s body tensed involuntarily, a huge unease rising in his heart. He didn’t know what Jeffrey had said to her. Jeffrey had just said he only got ahead because he was the father of Teddy, so Abigail chose him!

No, Abigail hadn’t said she would choose him since waking up.

Now she was calling him so solemnly. Could it be to confront him?

Various chaotic emotions stimulated Brandon’s mind, making him stand frozen on the spot, not knowing how to respond to Abigail.

Abigail looked at the originally confident, elegant, yet arrogant man, now cautiously watching her with his extraordinarily handsome face. Her heart ached, and she curled her fingers. "Come here."

Brandon had no idea what Abigail wanted to do, but it seemed he couldn’t refuse the petite woman.

He was scared by her solemn demeanor. It was just like when he had proposed breaking up with her, making him want to turn and escape. But these days, he had been light-heartedly joking around and shamelessly acting playful, trying to make Abigail forget about the breakup.

But he knew some things eventually had to be faced.

He walked toward Abigail step by step as if preparing to receive a death sentence, feeling regretful for respecting Jeffrey and letting him in.

Look at that, he ruined things again.

Although unwilling, there were less than ten steps from where he stood to Abigail’s sickbed, and despite his reluctance, he still walked over. Looking at Abigail lying on the bed, he said, "Yes, I’m here."

Hearing the man’s resigned tone, Abigail felt both anger and amusement. She ordered, "Lower your head."

Brandon frowned. Lower his head?

Although puzzled, Brandon still bent his noble waist, lowered his head, and looked at Abigail. His amber, slender eyes still carried confusion.

Abigail looked at the handsome face close to her and suddenly leaned forward, grabbing Brandon’s collar.

Brandon was stunned by Abigail’s wild action. "Abigail... What are you trying to do?"

"Shut up." Brandon’s words were cut short by Abigail for the first time. She then leaned in and bit his beautiful pink lips.

This rough and wild kiss left Brandon’s mind blank. He stared at the woman in front of him, thinking for quite a while, Is Abigail forcefully kissing him?

Haha!

Brandon was full of shock and disbelief. The slight stinging pain on his lips made his whole body stiffen, but indescribable joy filled his chest. Abigail was kissing him forcefully. His little sweetheart was kissing him, not arguing or breaking up.

She was kissing him.

The realization made Brandon’s blood boil, his amber eyes becoming fervent and scorching. Just as Abigail was about to let go, he grabbed her waist with one hand, taking the lead and deepening the already intense kiss.

Abigail could maintain control at first, but soon she was overwhelmed, panting and collapsing back onto the sickbed. She looked at the man whose eyes now glowed intensely, and apprehensively shrank back.

"Abigail..." Brandon’s voice was hoarse with suppressed emotions, but he didn’t care. Looking at the blushing woman in the sickbed, he asked, "Abigail, what do you mean by this?"

What did she mean by initiating a kiss? Had she finally forgiven him? Was she agreeing to be with him again?

Abigail saw the happiness in his eyes. It was the first time in days she had seen such uninhibited joy in him. Her heart swelled with mixed emotions.

Jeffrey’s farewell had suddenly filled her with an inexplicable fear.

The world changed too fast; no one knew what the future held. She and Jeffrey had spent many years together, always holding feelings for each other but hesitating, ultimately missing out.

And sometimes missing out meant a lifetime.

Life was too short to waste.

The knot in her heart caused by Brandon’s breakup suddenly unraveled. She realized she simply wanted to kiss and embrace him.

So she did just that.

Abigail found that much of her courage came from the man in front of her.

Seeing his joy after her initiative made everything worthwhile.

Hearing the restrained emotion in his voice, she felt sweetness and sorrow, yet she pretended to be nonchalant. "What do you mean?"

"You just kissed me forcefully," Brandon reminded her kindly, watching her proud look.

Embarrassed, Abigail said, "Yes, didn’t you kiss me forcefully many times too? Why can you do it but I can’t?"

Looking at her righteously indignant face, Brandon’s eyes filled with even more amusement. He brought his handsome face closer to hers. "You can. You just said I forcefully kissed you several times. How about this? You kiss them all back, okay? I won’t move, you do it."

Abigail’s beautiful eyes widened. How had she forgotten his rogue nature beneath his gentlemanly exterior? Looking at the enlarged handsome face in front of her, the man with a serious look as if proposing, she surprisingly didn’t feel any displeasure. Instead, facing the deep affection in his eyes, she felt a shameless urge.

What now? She wanted to sleep with him.
