Around midnight, Ash and Zhou Rui landed in front of Yunxian’s private annex. Although he could just land into the courtyard right away, Ash still had some decency and respected the host.

The once quiet annex, however, had become very lively with the arrival of fifteen beautiful elves that Ash bought from the auction. Elara and the others were now had cleaned themselves and wore the traditional hanfu which were provided by Yunxian.

As he strode into the living room, angelic voices welcomed him one after another.

"Welcome back, Master!" The elves bowed ninety degrees while standing on both sides.

Ash heaved a deep sigh. He clearly didn’t used to be treated like a noble.

"Please, be at ease." He spoke in elvish, strode closer to the golden haired elf, Elara. "Where is Lady Yunxian?"

As if it was cued, the woman in question trotted out of her wardrobe room, bringing more dresses for the elves to try. Granted, the elf’s fair and tall stature was truly and solely made for wearing hanfu robes.

"Oh! You’re already here! And Rui’er too?! Today is my best day ever!" Yunxian put the fifteen sets of robes onto the table beside her. "You truly surprised me with these beautiful ladies! Why don’t you tell me sooner that you planned to buy them? I could have prepared some meals beforehand."

Ash immediately bowed down in front of Yunxian. "I beg your pardon, Miss Yunxiam! For all the trouble that I have caused for you."

Yunxian let out ladylike giggles as she covered her mouth with a sleeve. "Oh dear... No need to fret it. In fact, I have been wanting to study their races since the very first time I saw them in the city, Fufufu."

Afterward, Yunxian, Zhou Rui, and Elara headed toward the gazebo above the pond which was situated at the backyard of her annex. Not so far away from the gazebo, there was a fountain which produced a calming sound from its water droplets. And of course, the fountain was not just a regular fountain. It’s actually an artifact that has been tweaked and tampered with by the Sound Cancellation Formation Array so they could speak freely without worrying about being overheard by anyone.

The tea was served for four people by Yunxian’s lady-in-waiting. The young servant soon excused herself.

"Very well..." Yunxian stirred her cup of tea after adding a little bit of sugar. "What is actually happening with these elves?"

Ash stole a glance at Zhou Rui before answering. He wished that Zhou Rui would explain it to him. Alas, the petite seamstress was already busy demanding a lot of headpats from Yunxian.

Ash heaved a sigh before he opened his mouth. "Miss Yunxian, as an orthodox physician, you are familiar with Yin Qi Cauldron, yes?"

"The most important thing after this, what is your plan for these poor girls? And of course, if you don’t have any plans for them just yet, I would gladly take care of them in my annex."

"It’s not up to me, Miss Yunxian." Ash glanced at the golden haired elf. He then spoke to her in elvish language. "Elara, what do you want to do tomorrow?"

"My lord..." Elara spoke softly in his ears. "Although our body has now become corporeal without Manacules, we are still able to do menial tasks such as cleaning, cooking or gardening. As long as we have something to do, perhaps, we could understand how things work in this realm little by little. And of course, we would be very grateful if she would treat us justly."

Ash turned to Yunxian who was now caressing Zhou Rui’s head on her lap.

"Elara said, she and the others would be willing to learn from you and help you maintain this annex in exchange for their safety. As for the obvious matter, as their rightful owners, I will cover their living expenses as they stay here."

Yunxian then clasped her hands together. She was so happy that Elara decided to stay with her since it’s the only logical option given the conundrums.

Ash rested his back against his back, pondering deeply. ’Should I rent an annex for them and me? I kinda feel bad for bothering Yunxian all the time. Furthermore, I will also need a place to train and prepare for the Martial Art Tournament.’

"Yunxian." Ash chimed. "Do you happen to know a plot of land that I could buy or rent? Of course, I really liked it here. But, it just doesn’t feel right to always bother you."
