Huo Shi got up from her bed and changed into a different set of clothes before going down to the kitchen.

Her mother was in the kitchen instructing the maids on what to do, they were preparing some dinner, and she didn’t see her brother anywhere around the dining or in the sitting area.

"Tomorrow, I will be going out early at around 9 in the morning..." She fetched some water into her water bottle.

"Where are you going so early in the morning?" Zhou Zan slightly frowned at hearing her daughter speak up, but she was notifying her and not asking for permission.

"Sis, where would you be going so early in the morning?" Huo Yan who had gotten down the stairs from his bedroom worriedly inquired gazing at his worried mom.

His sister was becoming more rebellious and mysterious, she always had things to do secretly, and sometimes, she missed her class lessons and no one knew where she normally went.

"I will be accompanying Su Qing over to the prison, she is paying her stepsister a visit, and then probably shopping for a new dress, good night..." With that, she picked up her snacks strolling away.

"Shi Shi, I will accompany the two of you tomorrow, don’t leave me behind...." Huo Yan hurriedly muttered as Huo Shi took the stairs up while nodding her head. She wasn’t bothered by the fact that they were doubting where she was going so early in the morning. She was already used to this biasness.

She can recall requesting her father to let her join their company and start working earlier but he declined telling her to concentrate on studying in school and learning how to be a housewife and women’s ethics while her brother was able to start working at such a young age and even began his entertainment company with his father’s assistance.

What about her? Why wouldn’t he support her towards her dreams? Was she meant to be below Huo Yan just because she was a woman? Couldn’t he let her fight for her dreams if he wasn’t going to support her?

She was getting worried about her future! She didn’t have plans to sit down and be someone’s housewife, she wanted to achieve big dreams, she wanted to go out there and be a woman every man dreams of taming.

"What’s the matter with her of late? She is either frowning or being cranky! She has never been like this! Could it be that she was at her rebellious age?" Huo Yan was failing to understand how his sister’s mind was working.

"I don’t know my dear, I also feel like she has been distancing herself of late, and hard to know what she is thinking... The teacher even notified me that she does miss some lessons as she absconds them..." Zhou Zan was worried that her daughter was becoming a bad girl and probably it could be the company of bad groups at school she was joining.

"It’s okay momma, let’s be patient and give her space..." He gently massaged her shoulders before they strode out of the kitchen.

"But why are you joining those girls over to the prison? Didn’t you say that you aren’t into Su Qing that much?" They settled down at the dining table and she wondered what her son was up to.

"A bird at hand is better than ten in the bush! I have to have a cordial relationship with her before finding another better tree to land on..." He wasn’t that stupid to burn all his bridges, if at all he didn’t find another suitable girl then he would let that space be occupied by Su Qing.

"Okay...." The maids served them with the ready food, they silently accompanied each other before going to their bedrooms to rest. Huo Shi was already asleep.

The men were busy working in their various companies strategizing on how to salvage the entire situation.

They didn’t have time to go to their homes for the night!

"I guess this is enough for tonight!" Su Wei Wei got out of the bathtub and cleaned the entire place before drying herself and striding over to her wardrobe.

It was stocked with all kinds of clothes, she chose some leggings and a T-shirt, she felt safe in these ones just in case of anything.

She settled down at her dressing table and applied the night cream all over her body before doing a skincare routine for her face... All the products Huo Shen had gotten for her were very soothing and relaxed her skin.

She dressed up before walking out of her bedroom and went over to Huo Shen’s, she lightly knocked at the door standing there.

"Ah Shen..." She softly called him at the door. After a few minutes, she didn’t receive any response, she knocked again but it was just the same.

She opened the door and walked in, only dim lights were turned on, at the bed, she didn’t see anyone there, she strode over to the bathroom door and knocked at the door but there was no response and there was nobody in there.

She strode out of his bedroom walking over to the corridor after closing his bedroom door, she took the stairs down to the sitting area, the entire place was lit up but there was no one, not even Huo Qi.

The place felt so cold and scary, she strode over to the door peeking outside the door, it was partially closed and only one side was left open.

The cold wind gushed over caressing her skin, she significantly took a step backwards in fright gazing into the dark sky. Earlier on, the stars were so bright and beautifully lit the sky but now, it was dark all over.

Since she was scared, she didn’t stand longer than forty minutes at the door before taking the stairs back to her bedroom to wait for him there, it was too windy.
