She took the stairs up to the first floor, she walked over to her bedroom door but halted midway and changed her route, she strolled over to Huo Shen’s bedroom door which wasn’t locked and she opened it up before getting inside.

She walked over to the bed picked up the pillow Huo Shen had used to lay on and strode back to her bedroom with it.

She tossed it onto the bed first before going into the bathroom to take a long soothing bath.

"Uuufff!" She was finally enjoying this luxury without having any worries of being caught or getting scolded.

Now, it was the beginning of her new life, she didn’t care much about anything else apart from getting her revenge, first, she knew who to tackle first.

She loudly hummed with her soft voice as she splashed the waters all over the place enjoying this time.

The bathtub was huge and all her daily necessities were stocked all over the drawers, everything was branded.

"Anyways, that’s for the future, I just need to soak and be a beautiful bride, it’s my day..." She was feeling happy that this time, this man was being official, be it engagement or being in a relationship, he wanted it to be official, announce to everyone that he was an engaged man.

Even though she had pushed her way into his life, he currently was being protective and positive, at first, she was thinking of getting enough money and powers before walking out of his life but now, she felt like this man should be hers.

She didn’t know what the future holds, but for now, she was okay being with him.

Doctor Ling was finally awake and accompanied by Huo Shen’s guards in the backseat while the chauffeur parked the car at the gate that led into his mansion.

"You have arrived, doctor..." One of the guards spoke up as Doctor Ling gazed at them frowning not understanding his situation.

"Aaah?" With a surprised look, he gazed into the streets, it was dark but the street lamps lightened the entire place. He couldn’t understand what was happening apart from the possible chants that echoed in his mind.

He recalls going over to the Huo mansion, but it was daytime at that time, and now it was already dark. For how long had he blacked out? He has never been this careless deep sleeper.

"You fell asleep and we didn’t want to wake you up since we noticed you were exhausted. Do you want us to escort you over until you are inside the mansion?" The guard spoke up eying him, their Missus’ hypnosis must have worked seeing the confusion on his face.

He gazed at his mansion entrance gate, but before he could say something, his mobile phone rang, with all the confusion, he got it from the side pocket of his medical briefcase before gazing at the phone screen display.

It was a private number calling him, he returned the phone inside the briefcase pocket closing it. He knew it wasn’t safe to receive this phone call now.

"Thank you... I will get down now..." He hoarsely muttered as the guard on the left side opened the car door and got down creating a way for him since he was seated in the middle.

Doctor Ling touched down on the ground as the guard returned over to his car seat closing the car door.

Doctor Ling waved goodbye as the car zoomed away back to Huo mansion. They didn’t have any other business sticking around.

Doctor Ling walked into his compound strolling through the pavement before reaching for his mobile phone and immediately received the phone call, it was now ringing for the very second time.

"What took you so long to answer the phone call?" A rough distorted voice sounded from the other end of the phone call.

"I was surrounded by his men, that’s why I didn’t receive it, what’s the matter? Why are you calling so urgently?" He walked into the house before walking over to the left side where his bedroom was situated.

"What did you do? Did anything unusual happen in the Huo mansion? Has she died?" That voice ambiguously inquired as Doctor Ling got into his bedroom, he stayed alone in the entire mansion.

"Nothing really happened and Nanny Wei is doing just fine! What you have thought is all wrong, okay, let me take a shower first and then, we can have a lengthy chat later on..." He immediately hang up tossing the mobile phone over to his bed before walking over to his bathroom.

He took a shower and went to bed immediately, he was feeling exhausted and he didn’t wait for that person to give him a call.

She walked back into her bedroom closing all the balcony french windows and drawing the curtains. She went back to bed and lay there calculating what to do next.
